I didn't, I feel left out!

PleaseStopCrying · 24/03/2020 11:42

Thanks for the advice regarding updates I'll check it out. Although I sincerely hope he's not being asked to isolate because of me. Hes in the care sector, its stretched enough as it is without taking healthy people out for 12 weeks because their partners have asthma.

Teacup34 · 24/03/2020 11:42

Yes I got it my Dh didn't he's on the same network which is odd. We are following gov advice anyway but other people certainly need the reminder!!

lemonjumper · 24/03/2020 11:43

"Some customers have already received the message, while others are set to get it later in the day."

MarshaBradyo · 24/03/2020 11:43

Yep felt quite strange to know gov can do it

Robs20 · 24/03/2020 11:43

I did

Oddbutnotodd · 24/03/2020 11:43

I did. I have registered with government gateway and also contact with HMRC by mobile

Wotawally · 24/03/2020 11:43

how do they know my number and who are ‘they’?
Your phone number is on your NHS files, unless you deleted it and in that case its magic.

THEY are the NHS/Government/Illuminati

It doesn't actually take much working out - the ones who would know your health is precarious enough to need this message are the ones who know your health conditions, surely?

AdoraBell · 24/03/2020 11:44

Nothing yet.

WiseUpJanetWeiss · 24/03/2020 11:44

Yes I just got it a few seconds ago. With EE. Not had anything to work Vodafone just yet.

browzingss · 24/03/2020 11:45

I’m with Voda & haven’t received it yet

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe · 24/03/2020 11:46

I'd read that the 'at risk/most vulnerable' people will get one. That doesn't mean that everybody will because they don't fall within that criteria set.

Wotawally · 24/03/2020 11:46

I didn't, I feel left out!

don't! It means they think you are healthy enough to survive if infected. You can have my message if you'll swap health conditions!

TinyTear · 24/03/2020 11:48

husband on EE yes, me on Giffgaff no

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe · 24/03/2020 11:49

The one I'm referring to is the one that PleaseStopCrying mentions, about vulnerable people. The lockdown one I didn't know about and haven't had yet but I expect it will arrive.

Adviceneededplease9 · 24/03/2020 11:50

I didn’t but my DS did. He’s 13. I pay contract for both sims in the same bill.

dementedpixie · 24/03/2020 11:50

It's not the government sending it, it's the mobile network. The stay at home message is supposed to go to everyone with a mobile phone

adaline · 24/03/2020 11:50

Nope. Neither did DH.

Both with o2.

UpToonGirl · 24/03/2020 11:51

I'm Voadafone no text but I just missed a call from a private number - wonder if that's any connection? I do usually get a lot of nuisance calls but not had any recently.

ChequerBoard · 24/03/2020 11:51

DH did but I didn't

PleaseStopCrying · 24/03/2020 11:53

I'd read that the 'at risk/most vulnerable' people will get one

Apparently theres 2 messages the one going to vulnerable people and the one in the OP which is going to everyone. Although its easy to see why it is confusing people as the Government said vulnerable people would be contacted but said nothing about a mass text from the NHS going out to everyone.

browzingss · 24/03/2020 11:53

@UpToonGirl no, absolutely not. The government/Vodafone do not have the resources to personally phone every single UK resident (hence the mass texts).

Chaotica · 24/03/2020 11:53

No. I didn't.

Pineappletree33 · 24/03/2020 11:53

Yes on my work phone not my personal mobile though. Dh did.
Not all network providers have sent it yet.

TheStuffedPenguin · 24/03/2020 11:53

Got it from Giff Gaff
