It’s not that text it’s a general text

Bluesheep8 · 24/03/2020 11:15

Nope. Neither did DP.

FlibbertyGiblets · 24/03/2020 11:15

Yes just me not DH.

adiposegirl2 · 24/03/2020 11:15

As at 11.15am no

QuimJongUn · 24/03/2020 11:16

Nope.

WheresTheEvidence · 24/03/2020 11:17

Just recieved I'm a W surname so usually last 😆

EverydayLife · 24/03/2020 11:18

Yes at 8.30am.

IsadoraQuagmire · 24/03/2020 11:19

No (giffgaff)

SuckingDieselFella · 24/03/2020 11:19

No.

It isn't for people who are vulnerable, that's a different text. The general one is for everybody.

Fluffy40 · 24/03/2020 11:19

Not yet, I’m with three

Ni58 · 24/03/2020 11:19

I deleted mine because I thought it was a scam! Oops 🤦‍♀️

azaleanth90 · 24/03/2020 11:20

I can NOT believe this didn't happen earlier since they have the capacity to do it. Bloody beyond belief. And of course, no way of contacting the over80s/90s who don't have mobiles! They could have done automated voice messages or something. I can only think this lack of comms is intentional.
Still, glad to see it now.

Overthegardenfence · 24/03/2020 11:20

Yes I did I’m on sky

PleaseStopCrying · 24/03/2020 11:20

Is there more than one? I've just recieved one but mines different to the one in the OP?

You must follow Government advice and stay at home. You may receive more detailed advice re your health condition soon. Visit www.nhs.uk

I have underlying health conditions so thought it might be the vulnerable message they mentioned on Sunday, but my DH also recieved the above message and he doesn't have any underlying conditions??

resipsa · 24/03/2020 11:20

5 Live reported it's a scam...don't know if that's accurate!

dementedpixie · 24/03/2020 11:22

Dh has had his now but I havent - both EE

dementedpixie · 24/03/2020 11:22

This is the one going to everyone

Did everyone get that text??
Whalette · 24/03/2020 11:23

Not everyone will get it, it's only people deemed vulnerable.

Everyone will get one who has a UK sim. It's being sent by the phone networks.

Saturdayk · 24/03/2020 11:24

Yeah I got it

ilovecakeandwine · 24/03/2020 11:24

Yes

SuckingDieselFella · 24/03/2020 11:24

@PleaseStopCrying
That's your instruction to self-isolate. It means you're part of the vulnerable group.

The text people are talking about is different. It's being sent to everybody. Adam Boulton on Sky News showed his this morning. There are no instructions on it to self-isolate, it just says people should stay at home.

NemosPoorlyFinn · 24/03/2020 11:24

I did at 7:51am
Nobody else in my house did though

Thelittleweasel · 24/03/2020 11:24

There was a paragraph in the paper that the "Government" does not have the ability to send that sort of message to all mobile phones

Hmm
AutumnRose1 · 24/03/2020 11:25

Yes, I’m on EE.

Purplespup16 · 24/03/2020 11:26

Nope and I’m with Giffgaff, no one in my house has and we are all Giffgaff.
