Yes, got it, so did DH. The main mobile companies have agreed to let the Govt send that alert (and possibly more) so you might not get it if you’re not with one of the ‘Big 4’ (maybe)

And i've been wondering for AGES why they hadn't already implemented this.

If you go on holiday in Florida as soon as you land you start getting the missing children texts.

They could have been communicating these announcements and measures with us in bullet point form for ages now.

Dunno why the hell they never. Loads of people don't watch the news on TV (or any live TV since you need a TV licence!)
