I guess I'm just upset that people can't follow rules .

TheMostHappy · 22/03/2020 18:06

Yes and quickly

thpock · 22/03/2020 18:09

Any lockdown will take 7-14 days to take effect due to super-spreaders and incubation period outliers. The lockdown time drastically changes the overall death rate. They've made calculations on how many lives would have been saved in China were the lockdown to happen earlier. It's a no-brainer, so...
Yes.

IHateCoronavirus · 22/03/2020 18:11

Yes. Would have been no but people don’t seem to be getting how serious this is.

RicStar · 22/03/2020 18:14

What do people mean by lockdown though and how do you get out of it once you are in it? The idea of children stuck inside for months is deeply upsetting to me.

PinkCrayon · 22/03/2020 18:15

Yes

Mittens030869 · 22/03/2020 18:16

@The80sweregreat

My sentiments exactly. Sad

NellyGrace · 22/03/2020 18:20

We’ve been self isolating for 9 days now. I would have said yes to a lockdown 9 days ago but now have changed my mind.

It’s very hard. Made harder my having 2 kids to homeschool in a flat with no garden. Only thing keeping us sane is quiet time walks in a park.

I feel we are safe. Dd has underlying health conditions. I feel the vulnerable must isolate and be safe. Those that want to isolate must. This must not be forced on everyone.

niffynoonoo · 22/03/2020 18:22

yes.

Looking at u SIL!

Newname4now · 22/03/2020 18:23

Yes. I know it will be very, very hard, but too many people not acting on advice

MegaClutterSlut · 22/03/2020 18:23

Judging by the pics I've seen today and how busy the road has been outside my house, a lot of the uk population seem to be dickheads so yes there needs to be a lockdown

MarshaBradyo · 22/03/2020 18:25

The idea of children stuck inside for months is deeply upsetting to me. Me too. I want adults to behave better so children in flats can go for a walk.

Shut playgrounds though.

RicStar · 22/03/2020 18:26

I think this will be like schools people say we should lock down. When we do it, people will say I meant they should lock down not me. If it was guided by science and there was an endgame then may be but I am not sure that is the case.

NellyGrace · 22/03/2020 18:26

Those of you saying yes either live in decent sized houses with gardens or have not started isolating yet.

The reality of what you are calling for is yet to hit you.

MarshaBradyo · 22/03/2020 18:27

Nelly yes you’re right a garden makes a huge difference with dc.

user1471440782 · 22/03/2020 18:28

Yes, once the bill is passed. lockdown will follow as people are not listening.

MarshaBradyo · 22/03/2020 18:28

European cities have a lot of apartments. I think children can go out for fresh air and a short walk.

RicStar · 22/03/2020 18:31

I am definitely all for people following the rules but I think it would be extremely bad for children if they were not allowed out - possibly more isolated than the 'shielded' group. I would be ok as long as there was allowance for exercise including children - even if limited to groups of two.

MegaClutterSlut · 22/03/2020 18:32

I have started isolating and I would rather be isolated in a small cramped house, which I have if it means more lives being saved. I get it's going to be really crap but will people moan about being isolated if/when their loved ones have started to die around them? You'll be begging for people to be isolated

3rdNamechange · 22/03/2020 18:34

I'm front line NHS -yes.

MinkowskisButterfly · 22/03/2020 18:39

Yes

The80sweregreat · 22/03/2020 18:42

I've been stuck home for days.
3 men in my home and one has bad asthma.
We are doing our civil duty but nobody else seems to give a monkeys,
Why ? Do they think this virus won't touch then or just not care?

CoffeeHere · 22/03/2020 19:02
