Destroying the economy for what? We need to lockdown!!

At the moment I feel like we are only half heartedly locking down. People are out and about - but not listening.

In the meantime we’ve taken kids out and people are losing their jobs! What needs to happen is the government needs to ENFORCE the lockdown to make all the others measures worth it - we seem to be destroying our economy for the sake of it at the moment because very few people are social distancing or taking this seriously.

So my frustrations partly been alleviated and next it’s to stop kids meeting/setting up play dates !

They've said about children not hanging around in large groups- I'd like to know how they're going to police that?

Quite apart from looking after people, we’re trying to stop the virus. Mrs Miggins & Co might be happy to die themselves, but while they’re merrily spreading the virus left, right and centre we’re all stuck in this shit situation of life being put on hold while we try to starve the virus of victims - and Mrs Miggins goes round merrily sabotaging our efforts by ensuring it continues to spread in our communities.

The only way the virus can be stopped us by vacine or heard immunity as the host doesn't generally die. It's not SARS. We could all lock ourselves away for 5 years and it won't die out. In fact, that would be one if the worst things to do as it would totalky remove any chance of heard immunity

Hence my point that the vulnerable have to self isolate until that happens. Someone helping Mrs Miggins who has made an informed decision to carry on and forgoe medical treatment shoyjd not be going near vulnerable people who have chosen to self isolate properly.

Boris is about to step up. I hate the man but can see clearly that he’s preparing us bit by bit for the full kick down all over the country.

@NellyGrace I agree- but what he doesn't understand is social unrest happens when people are ill informed- if he keeps on taking his 'we will be okay, it's just a safety precaution' attitude it is far more likely people will continue to be blazay in regards to social distancing and isolation- also the terrifying outcome of the people who don't understand quite what is happening thinking 'I won't get it...'

I'd much rather him be upfront right now- instead of saying 'I know its difficult and your all doing your best' say 'We are all at risk right now, if you don't follow our advice it's highly likely you are putting yourself and others in very serious danger'.

I'd appreciate a bit of hard talking, It would certainly make me feel safer.
