I'm currently under lockdown in France in a relatively big city. The measures came into effect at 12pm today and will last for at least two weeks... Feel free to ask any questions !

The GP gave me the mask before I entered the surgery.

Post offices are open but only for essential services - post distribution is being reduced.

I think I am over the worst of it. I only had one worrying night when I had breathing difficulties, the rest has been like a really, really bad cold.

Ex-H, who is staying with us for the lockdown, is coming down with it too. Friends are dropping off fresh food for us today which is lovely of them and the local baker drove up with a box of bread and croissants!

@Booboostwo Glad to hear it looks like you've got a mild version. Lovely that people have rallied round!

Booboostwo good to hear that things are on the up and you have have supplies. Lucky to be on such good terms with the baker .

Thanks @kersh33 & @Frenchfancy I managed to get an appointment with my dentist this morning (open for emergencies only) I've got a dental abcess so on antibiotics for 5 days & back for tooth removal next week.

If you are stopped and don't have a travel waiver:
▪️ NEVER pay the 135€ fine on the spot
▪️ The Gendarmerie/Police always write up a report (on paper/electronic)
▪️ The fine is sent by post

Did anyone hear Macron speaking from Mulhouse ? Do you really think that when this is over he really will refund l’hôpital publique probably and revalorise the wages ?

How you feeling ?

Day 11 and I am still coughing a lot. My nose is still mainly blocked and breathing through my mouth is tiring me out further. My nose is producing very disgusting stuff. I hope I am nearing the end of the symptoms because I am utterly exhausted. I read that symptoms can last up to 14 days so I am hopeful that it will be over by Monday.
