I am - my role is difficult to do from home and our work needs to be going during this situation.

What about other people?

I think we will be told to work from home given the information from yesterday's COBRA meeting, am going to check my emails in a moment

I work in retail, working from home isn’t an option.

I can work from home, as can my entire team, so we will.

As of today we have been told to work from home until further notice.

Yes I am - nhs community role. And being trained today the proper way to put on and remove protective equipment.

I will be so gutted if I get this virus. I am so lucky I have not had a day off sick for 13 years!

Can't work from home, but had to cancel with a client as my daughters childminder is closing for 2 weeks. Have probably lost that customer

I am. I work in a care home with the elderly.
Very worried now, we had an email last night to say some of our staff are isolating due to the new advice, so I know we will be struggling now.
Also, concerned that my dc are still expected to attend school. Worried they could catch it and pass it on to me without us realising and I take it in to work.
Very confused what to do right now.

Yep. I'm a community nurse who looks after people with long term conditions (mainly copd / heart failure). It's hard to know what to do for the best right now but I'm cancelling all non essential face to face visits.

Most of my office have the capability to work from home but can't see the bosses letting it happen. I can only do half my job from home so I think I'll be there until further notice. I need the money too much to argue about it. Husband can work from home but as his boss is in quarantine he has to go in.

Work in an admin role in the nhs. No option of wfh do I’m still going in. Wondering if they’ll stop non essential staff from working.

I am, really annoyed as DH works in an office job that he could do from home easily but they’re not allowing it. He said 3 people in his team had coughs yesterday. Everyone is terrified because they don’t offer sick pay. Boris really needs to make the message clear because people are not listening - to any of it!

I'm going in today, I've not been told to work from home yet from my employer.

Report
Nquartz · 17/03/2020 06:56

No luckily, I am on the rota to work from home anyway, DH is working from home indefinitely.

I've been told we'll get an update today from work though, which I hope is everyone who can work from home should.

I work in a large office, could easily do my job from home... but I haven’t been allowed 🙁

I have a long commute, and take two forms of public transport but they still don’t care

Yes but I think today is my last day before I work from home.

I feel lucky that I can do that.

If nurseries close I can't work from home with a toddler so I have no idea what I will do then

@namechangepls5 they'll care when half of their workforce is off sick. Dickheads
