Someone talk me down - new cough

I’ve had a tickly/ scratchy feeling in the back of my throat for a day or two. Tonight it’s developed into a horrid constant dry cough. I otherwise feel fine and don’t have a temperature or anything. I’m freaking myself about coronavirus. DH thinks I’m being daft so I can’t talk to him.

NHS 111 do eventually answer. Just keep holding on and let the annoying music play in the background.

Please keep trying or call 999 of you’re getting worse.

You could Also ring your local A&E and warn them you're coming?
Or 999 if you're feeling that poorly.

Absolutely don’t just turn up even if you phone ahead!

Still feel awful. Got through to 111 and am now waiting for a callback.

It’s the worse uncontrollable cough I’ve ever had and it feels like my lungs are burning.

If you cannot breathe it’s 999. Tell the operator you have Coronavirus symptoms.

Does sipping water help? I read somewhere that it can with covid - no idea if that's true
