I hope that RapidRainbow does not mind me starting Part II of the thread - if you do let me know & I'll ask for it to be deleted.

It would just be a shame to not carry on as this is such a positive place.

Part I is here:

That final paragraph is awesome!

HeIenaDove · 12/03/2020 02:55

Joining as reading the other threads and worrying seems to have kicked off my IBS which has been fine for ages.

HeIenaDove · 12/03/2020 03:14

The Jack Russells are gorgeous. Smile

Thank you for this suggestion, very informative and answers many questions about how they are dealing with the outbreak and why in the UK

maryelizabeth71 · 12/03/2020 03:48

This was supposed to link to sunshine girls post about the select committee Q&A session :-)

It's a cute link that cannot fail to brighten your day

PineappleDanish · 12/03/2020 06:54

Yeah I'm awake early too Purple. Really struggling this morning. Seeing the GP later. It would be such a shame to come off MN as this thread has been incredibly positive but the "trending topics" box is scaring me. My logical side knows I'll be OK. The anxious side is panicking.

A positive thought for today - my daffodils are out!

bellinisurge · 12/03/2020 07:03

Lots of birds out doing their thing. And leaves /bulbs sprouting. Also forsythia shrub round our way (Manchester area) blooming strong. Yellow flowers if you don't recognise it.
I always try and spot it this time of year. Strongly recommend checking out nature around you . Even for a moment.

ThreeBlindNice · 12/03/2020 07:05

I'm so glad I found this thread.

I am suffering really bad with anxiety with the whole thing, woke up this morning with this sickly feeling in my stomach. Reading here as made me feel slightly better.

CaveMum · 12/03/2020 07:17

I’m having a wobble this morning, have had to take myself away to another room while husband sorts the kids out as I’ve been randomly bursting into tears and don’t want the kids to see me upset. The news that the US is locking down flights has really triggered me today even though it doesn’t affect us in any way.

Bloodybackpain · 12/03/2020 07:17

Sun is shining here, birds singing. I’ve hung the washing outside too which always makes me happy. And I slept ok last night for first time in ages

purpleme12 · 12/03/2020 07:18

I was crying in bed this morning too. My child sleeps with me she woke and asked why I was crying. Obviously I didn't tell her the actual reason as I don't want to make her scared

RosieposiePuddingandPi · 12/03/2020 07:34

Thank god for this thread, I keep nipping back to it this morning just for a little read.
I'm having a slightly wobbly morning too, especially as I have to do our usual food shop today so I've just been watching the little birds whizzing round our garden for a bit to cheer me up Smile
DD is also cracking me up, she's currently cruising around the living room ripping books off the shelf and chatting to herself 😁

@Bloodybackpain I’m so excited to do some washing and put it outside to dry!

Loppy10 · 12/03/2020 07:41

How does that help with positive mental health Jrobhatch29 ?

ThreeBlindNice · 12/03/2020 07:42

@Jrobhatch29 yes, apparently they are doing well and only have mild symptoms; tired, aching bones. Their son posted a video on twitter saying they are okay

Millie2013 · 12/03/2020 07:43

Love to all those who are struggling

I wondered that - that's the sort of content people are finding a bit upsetting surely?

Tom Hanks update on Twitter seems fairly positive, and hopefully they both have it mildly. Here if anyone is interested: twitter.com/tomhanks/status/1237909897020207104/photo/1

ExpletiveDelighted · 12/03/2020 07:48

It's a beautiful day here, lots of primroses out in the garden and I'm about to washing on the line.

EsioTrot · 12/03/2020 07:50

I think @Jrobhatch29 's post is helpful - it reassures and reminds that people are experiencing mild symptoms and contracting the virus isn't an automatic death sentence.

I love the post about soap, thank you so much to the person who posted it - was really helpful for my 14 year old who has been getting sick of washing his hands and was getting a bit sloppy about it. The idea of an Avengers style battle going on at his fingertips has enthused him no end.

I hope everyone has a good day. Keep taking a deep breath when anxiety is getting higher. Keep turning the statistics round and watch the recovery numbers increasing too.
