To ask when you think all schools will shut

Due to the corona virus.

Have been talking to a relative and am more worried than I was. Have three dc, one of whom gets ill at the drop of a hat.

Facts emerging from Italy are not great, so why aren’t we in complete shut down now? What is the government waiting for?

I think within the next ten days the schools will shut .

I agree, I think it will be 1-2 weeks top.

If you think you don’t have cases in your town think again. I’m being serious.

Thanks Danish friends. Due to go early April but can get a refund. Doesn’t seem right to be going at all but I bet flights will be allowed in.

Having cases in grown is irrelevant as people travel in and out.

They've closed a primary school in Scotland for a deep clean. Just for a day though I think. Someone who had been on the premises had been advised to self isolate.

My daughter is currently at boarding sch in Denmark. She lost her passport, a new one is on its way. She has to be out of her boarding house on Friday. Absolute nightmare

BBC news just said tomorrow that gov are making a further statement on possible interventions.

The next phase is that Boris Johnson goes into self isolation having been in close contact with coughing Dominic Raab and Chris Grayling is put in charge of the country.

It seems really odd that as of 7pm they were continuing to ‘dither and dick’ with their containment policy but the newspapers are now saying tomorrow is all about moving to delay!?

1. Why the sudden change? What’s happened since 7pm?

1. How does the advice change with Delay? Wash hands for the duration of Stairway to Heaven? Or something useful?

Our govt keep saying ‘we’ll move to the next phase soon’. They’re desperate to minimise financial losses to their mates. They’re going to try to get as near the Easter hols as possible.

We never imagined this when we were gearing up for a shitty crash out of the EU!

I feel like I’m living through too much ‘History’. All we need now is a parlour maid to pass the virus onto Phil and Her Maj and it’ll be all kinds of crazy.

He’s a funny thing re hand washing. At work (offices across 3 counties) the sinks more often than not don’t have mixer taps. The hot taps are REALLY hot. Like scalding hot you can’t keep your hand under for 2 seconds, let alone 20. Public services, so there will be no new taps!

Yes @bunny our primary school has cold water in some classrooms. No money to fix them.

It looks like they copied and pasted that Sky story from Sunday’s stories about Monday’s Cobra meeting which was a damp squib.
