People on here prepping to isolate themselves and their families. Taking kids out of school, not working. For how long, 18 months until a vaccine is available??

The same people expect others in the service sectors to keep working - supermarket workers, NHS staff and so on. Going on about getting all their shopping delivered and so on.

Some of the preppers / self isolators on other threads were berating NHS retirees for being worried about being asked return to work, and telling NHS nurses who were voicing worries about isolation and childcare that they should lose their jobs.

Selfish irrational weirdos. I don’t know anyone in real life like this but seems like there are dozens hiding away on here.

I did an ordinary top-up shop online earlier this week. I have been feeling guilty ever since because I added toilet tissue to the basket because it was on offer, even though we still had some.left from the last shop.

So I've contributed to the Great Toilet Paper Shortage of 2020.

@Londonlassy as a general prepper, stuff like utilities going down would be an irritant but not a problem to me. However, I think it highly unlikely the government would let it get that bad even if it meant deploying groups to make power stations function. Given people's reactions on here in summer when supermarkets ran out of ice cubes, I'm guessing the government realises how avoidably vulnerable people can make themselves. Which makes it harder to focus, as the government should on using resources to help people who are ACTUALLY vulnerable.

I mean troups not groups.
