Two power and water desalination plants have been struck in Kuwait by Iranian drones.

"This resulted in significant material damage and the shutdown of two power generation units," the Ministry of Electricity, Water & Renewable Energy said in a statement posted on X.

No one was injured.

"Technical teams are working around the clock to ensure the continuity of services," the statement added.

According to an Analyst on World Service, the Iranian aim is not to make more enemies but to increase the world economic shock.

Which from their POV is totally understandable.

It's just a terrible indictment on Netanyahu (tbh he wouldn't care) and Trump that this wasn't considered pre attack.

An attack in a desalination plant in a country which has American military was to be expected, it is retaliation.

We have heard over and over again Izrael
is allowed to defend itself. The same policy should stand for Iran or any other country arbitrarily attacked.

I guess how this could be interpreted is if America struck first then any retaliation is defending itself.

Ihave absolutely no skin in the game and that is exactly what this is a game of who is more powerful.

I will still celebrate a religious holiday with my family today. I will go to work, I will continue to live my life without wondering if a bomb will land.

That is luxury that millions of innocent civilians do not have in the ME today, tomorrow or next week.

As for seeing things from Irans POV.... "Know ones enemy" and it was an independent analyst who thinks this, as do many other economic and military experts.

You may not be unduly impacted by his war but billions of people around the world will be, crop yields, fuel shortages & if it carries on (as it looks like it will be) Travel disruption, economic depression in many countries.. and mass movement of peoples heading for Europe and the UK....

I want all the killing to stop, all of it. I do not care what nationality, religion, skin colour. I want (in this instance) men making decisions who are safely away from any danger to stop escalating and deliberately killing more people.

Both sides are using the basic right to water as a threat, it is horrifying it got to this in a matter of weeks.

This is a war that should never have started, the people who did this should be in the Hague but never will.

The casual dismissal of human life is quite incredible, even school children, is just a price to be paid by others... a "mistake" an "accident" "regrettable" "there will be a investigation..."

This is despite Iran threatening to do just that previously.
