IDF confirms strikes, accusing Hamas of 'blatant violation' of truce

As reported by the BBC:

The Israel Defense Forces has just released a statement, confirming the strikes in southern Gaza. Here it is in full:

Earlier today, terrorists fired an anti-tank missile and gunfire toward IDF troops operating to dismantle terrorist infrastructure in the Rafah area, in southern Gaza, in accordance with the ceasefire agreement.

In response, the IDF has begun striking in the area to eliminate the threat and dismantle tunnel shafts and military structures used for terrorist activity.
These terrorist actions constitute a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement, and the IDF will respond firmly.

In response, Hamas said it was committed to the ceasefire and accused Israel of breaking it several times.

@Martymcfly24 a new low for who? You do remember surely on Oct 7th that children’s cribs (with kids in them) were booby trapped to stop their rescue in one of the kibbutzm. After their parents were slaughtered.

The point I was trying to make with the poster was that the hyperbolic ‘Jewish mothers’ wasn’t true, there was a handful of people, the aid stopped momentarily and protesting is symbolic as it is here. Did Middle Eastern eye ask why they did that? Most are linked to the hostage forum.

Proof?

A new low for anyone who would block aid to a starving population by standing in front of trucks. It has happened many times before.

And I would presume the poster was referencing the group of women standing in the background.

It sounds like you think this was acceptable.

I think that falls into the '40 babies' category of unverified claims, and was found not to be true. Or at least, zero evidence of it being true.

Because the driver got out to record what is happening after Israelis pushed a buggy with a child in front of a truck. Was you hoping they would carry on driving?!

No the driver didn’t get out of the truck to record as it was already being filmed and you can’t see anyone get out of the truck, I couldn’t see a driver in the truck which is why I thought the camera angle was being deceptive and it hadn’t been moving but I can see now it was approaching as it moved further towards the arrow in the road,

So I stand corrected but at the very least the pram wasn’t moved in front until it stopped I suppose and the truck was obviously already moving slowly and aware as if it had to brake hard the convoy of trucks close behind it would have gone into it.

Stupid thing to do though.

Not comparable to the use of children as human shields in Gaza IMO.

So the Israelis have got their people back and are now continuing the genocide. What a predictable outcome.

Looks like the IDF in Rafah, where the ceasefire allows them to be, disturbed a nest of Hamas in a tunnel they were going to blow.
Hamas popped up like rats from a drain, and fired an rpg at an engineering vehicle, killing two soldiers.
The IDF responded, blew 6km of tunnels, plus other infrastructure used by Hamas, and completed their mission, which would have been peaceful if it were not for the terrorists.

So once again. Hamas got their people back, and are continuing the terrorism.
What a predictable outcome.

Israel broke the ceasefire. As it always does. Every single time.

Hamas did it by killing soldiers.
Please either read before you post, or accept you are a Hamas apologist.

Wow that’s some very rat focused imagery you’ve got in your post. Why do you do that? It makes you sound so awful to describe humans in that way. Aim high, don’t let yourself be fooled into thinking dehumanising is normal or necessary.

Fucking hell.

Blatant terrorist supporter concerned about ‘dehumanising’ savage terrorist scum on a parenting site.

Well I never.

It was always pretty clear this board was infested with jihadi lovers, but thanks for confirming it.

Take a deep breath and try to remember that we are all human beings, someone’s son or daughter, wife or husband, sister or brother, or friend. Mercifully most posting on MN are loved and loving and know that demonising and dehumanising people is not the path to the sort of world we want our children to live in. You have lost your way.

How very condescending of you.
However please feel free to preach such bollocks to Hamas, and the jihadi apologists.

TomeTome · 20/10/2025 08:21

Your right of course @HellsBalls and @TicklishMauveSquid we should fully embrace dehumanising and characterising people as vermin, that’s never caused any issues at all. I’m being sarcastic of course. I would suggest that you feel patronised because your language and attitudes are not mature or thoughtful. It matters. Not just for the individuals you seek to demean but because what you do to others becomes normalised and acceptable if unchallenged.

After years of Islamist terrorism, the Israelis have the measure of the jihadis, hence there abrupt solutions for dealing with them.

And please don’t conflate me calling Hamas vermin, with calling normal Palestinians vermin.

That would be lying, and I know you wouldn’t want to be accused of that.

What the fuck is your point?

That we shouldn’t demean the poor terrorists because it causes ‘issues’?

It is not normal and acceptable to think of terrorists, as vermin scum?

Speaking for myself, I’m not feeling patronised at all.

I think I’m in the online company of someone extremely sinister with warped views (definitely indoctrinated into something), who probably wouldn’t have the courage to voice those views in public so is doing so here under a cloak of anonymity.

Frankly there should a lot more dehumanisation of Hamas on these threads, not less.

PrawnAgain · 20/10/2025 09:58

Not all Palestinians are Hamas.

The only way to have a last peace in the region is to stop the cycle of violence and hatred.

Dehumanisation of a population is only going to lead to more war and suffering, which nobody benefits from

All of Hamas are Palestinians. As are their supporters in Gaza.

That fact cannot be separated no matter how much people like you try to.

Opinions on MN have absolutely no impact on a war in the ME so save your hyperbole and attempt to police how people perceive subhuman terrorist scum.

Given you're someone who thinks that it's perfectly fine to literally anally rape someone to death, because they were arrested without charge by Israel, I'm not sure we are either warped ones.

The depravity you are justifying is beyond disgusting.

TomeTome · 20/10/2025 10:23

It’s not about the particular group you are describing as “vermin” it’s about describing ANY human in that way. You do not help Israelis or Palestinians with this behaviour. We know this and it is often seen as people draw back and start to allow themselves to feel justified in perpetrating the unthinkable. I wonder how many of you are mothers and what you want your children to inherit when you are gone? It takes true effort to pull yourselves back and find a better path, but surely you feel it’s worth it?

PrawnAgain · 20/10/2025 10:29

The irony of accusing me of hyberbole and using the phrase subhuman terrorist scum to describe a whole population in the same sentence.

I actually said I didn’t care if terrorists have a stick put up their arse to make them up give up intel to save lives. Like those of the Israeli hostages, many of whom died in captivity.

Just for clarification and I still don’t btw.

I don’t think it’s warped at all to not a give a shit about what happens to terrorists.

Suicidal empathy and the appeasement of evil has never been my thing.
