I think the point is it is what people called us to jeer us but it has been claimed and used now to raise money for charities supporting Palestinians. Not surprised you missed the point.

No one thinks anything but horror when we think about what the hostages have been through.

I think Trump's beef with Hamas is not to do with bloodshed and suffering, its that the 7 October attack totally screwed up the Abraham Accords / normalisation process that he was a key part of pushing. So what he wants to do is squash Hamas and get on with normalisation. But I don't know if that's possible or if it will just backfire horrendously again as it did last time. It's just not clear. and that is completely aside to the very obvious humanitarian issues.

I think it is bad that he will want peace at any cost for the Palestinians though. But ultimately I don't think it will make any difference. Could Hamas be keen to make an agreement before Biden leaves office ? They could get a better deal?

Trumps ultimatum is not just to Hamas, it is to Netanyahu aswell. I have read his aides have made it clear to him that he must accept a deal that ends the war before Trump starts his presidency. Not verified but it has been reported on.

Trump basically wants to solve the political problems of the region by completely excluding and sidelining Palestinians - whether some people would like that to happen or not, it's just not clear if it's a viable strategy long-term. It did not work last time.

Paddystinian is tasteless and was coined to mock Irish people. The phrase has been claimed and being used positively to raise money for Palestine. I don't find that tasteless I find the original word to mock Irish people extremely tasteless
