Islamic terrorism is toast. Defeated by the IDF. The left should find another cause to hang their hat on. Maybe causes closer to home, like homelessness, poverty and joblessness. The stuff that the left used to concern themselves with.

If it’s defeated why is idf killing innocent lives in 4 countries in the Middle East ?

@EasterIssland have you missed the rockets coming the other way for months on end? The thousands displaced from northern Israel? It's not a one way street is it?
Any other government would defend itself and be allowed to deal with the issue.

You can defend yourself. Just don’t kill thousands of innocent civilians and commit war crimes . Also , I was replying to @YourAmplePlumPoster who has said “Islamic terrorism is toast. Defeated by the IDF”

I recommend watching Galloway on YouTube. He is lamenting that Syria is no longer the funnel for sending arms to the Palestinians since Assad was overthrown.

@wanderingstar23 I read about this too, unfortunately the extreme right have been given too much power in Israel, which has resulted in efforts to shut down the public broadcast.

I don't think they would tbh. Haven't Israel been taking away the ability of Syria to defend itself recently? I've seen some Syrians are very upset by this. Have Israel given Palestinians the right to defend themselves against the state sanctioned settlers in the West Bank? What happens if a Palestinian fights back there when being turfed out of their homes or having their village torched by Israelis? Israel clearly don't believe that it is a 'right' just like they don't seem to believe in the right to water or food or healthcare or living in a fair society. If something doesn't directly benefit Israel, Israel couldn't care less.

This sliver of land the same size as Wales has been attacked, defamed and subjected to an onslaught of abuse from everywhere over the years. Solely because the world will not accept a Jewish state. Not just the Arab world but everywhere else. Why won't you leave Jews alone? If you say we are safe in Europe, well we are not. Jewish places of worship, community centres, schools are surrounded by security and guards.

As it's apparently a competition between public broadcasters not states, and the Israeli government wants to shut down or privatise the Israeli public broadcaster

Yup, I'm sure there are many in Israel who oppose this move but the right wing are currently the dominant force.

Yes - I’m very sorry. I know the Jewish community feels under threat and I do understand why .
I’m not a supporter of Netanyahu and his government and I don’t think it was necessary to conduct the war in the way they have against the Palestinian civilians.
However I have great sympathy for Israel as I do understand it feels under threat from all sides and many of its citizens have a history of the most terrible trauma .
I can also see how there is an increased anti semitism in Europe and that horrifies me.

I should also add that myself and others did not dismiss those anxieties. But it's quite difficult to carry on being sympathetic when it's not acknowledged and instead met with name calling and abuse.

Ok - genuine error 😣I’m possibly mixing up two different threads .
For the record-
I definitely don’t think it is OK to say all Palestinians are Islamist (and yes Islamist and Islamic are very different things. Palestinians aren’t all Islamic either)
I don’t support Netanyahu and I hope he and the other members of his government face justice.
I also hope Hamas is destroyed
