The IDF have now raided the Kamal Adwan hospital

How is this being allowed to happen? How are the IDF getting away with the genocide and ethnic cleansing? In particular in the north of Gaza. They have bombed countless schools and hospitals and it is still happening!

From sky news
Gaza hospital 'raided' by Israeli military
Israel's military launched raided a hospital in north Gaza last night, Palestinian officials said.
Troops stormed Kamal Adwan Hospital and stationed forces outside it, according to medics.
Eid Sabbah, the hospital's nursing director, told the Reuters news agency that Israeli tanks opened fire on the hospital upon their arrival.
The hospital's oxygen stores were hit, he added, before troops raided the building and ordered staff and patients to leave.
There was no immediate comment from the Israeli military or World Health Organisation on the raid.

The war will end when Israel stop the brutalisation of the Palestinian people, which has been ongoing for many years.

'Evacuate' them to where? Smaller over crowded safe zones so Israel can bomb them later like they have done countless times before?

The siege and the ethnic cleansing in the north of Gaza was one of the things Israel was warned about by the US. Warned that weapon transfers will stop if they continue to do this. History tells us that once they leave they will not be allowed back.

It was reported on sky that obtained drone footage of long lines amongst rubble of homeless Palestinians forced to leave. Later the men are separated and stripped and taken away and the women and children are forced to continue alone. This is a textbook genocide and Israeli soldiers are so dumb they are taking pictures and videos and uploading it on their social media whilst they continue their war crimes.

There's a even worse image posted by an IDF soldier with stripped detained Palestinians that I won't post on here with the caption we will turn Gaza into a graveyard, these soldiers are the definition of stupid! They record and incriminate themselves as they go along leaving a huge file for the ICC to get through!

At the start of the year I thought posts like this were from people who were naive/misunderstood the situation/unable to comprehend a state could do this/unaware.
Plus also the fact October 7th was so horrific and violent there was a hangover from this.
Nearly 13 months on I can see how past evils have occurred in history.

@Scirocco sometimes I envy the simplicity of how you see things.

Sometimes simplicity is the best lens to views things. The KISS principle.

There is no justification for what Israel is continuing to do. Basically the whole world is telling Israel to lay down their arms but they appear hell bent on ethnic cleansing northern Gaza. Ready for settlers?

Your arguments about Hamas are not an excuse for what Israel is doing. Why did they detain 44 male medical staff? Were these the supposed Hamas fighters? Male does not equal soldier!

Even if there were some Hamas soldiers were there in the hospital, international law does not justify carnage for low level fighters. That’s why - particularly now Sinwar dead, the world is telling the IDF to STOP!

This is what the innocent children are facing. Soldiers with guns and power and a thirst for revenge. No wonder so many doctors who have volunteered from the UK and US in Gaza have said they repeatedly see children who have been sniped in the head.

During the recent funeral of an IDF reservist who was killed fighting in Lebanon, his loved ones eulogized him as someone who was determined to take revenge against Gazans, even women and children, and who allegedly set a home in the Strip on fire without authorization from his superiors in order to cheer up his fellow soldiers.

Wow, and they're proud of that. Says a lot.

Martymcfly24 · 27/10/2024 09:01

They don't need to hide it. They know they are untouchable. They ignore UN, ICj etc
Both of the presidential candidates in America support their "right to defend themselves" .
When there are no checks and balances on the actions they will continue to escalate.

Agree this behaviour is condoned and supported at the top. If the soldiers on the ground in Gaza see and treat innocent civilians as a form of revenge it is extremely dangerous for civilians. There is nothing stopping them.

PeasfullPerson · 27/10/2024 09:53

That this behaviour is supported and encouraged is a disgrace. It’s insane. In Israel, if you voice any concerns for Palestinians then you have to worry about being accused of all sorts of ridiculous things, but if you boast that you have murdered innocent Palestinian, men, women, and children, you appear to get cheered. It is safe to inflict hatred and violence upon this vulnerable group, and it is unsafe to care for your fellow human beings! This is completely backwards and disturbing. Caring is seen as more of a threat than violence against innocent people that belong to a demonised out group. Humans are ridiculous.

Criticising the Israeli government is NOT antisemitic.

Criticising the Israeli government is NOT antisemitic.

It isn't always, but, as you well know, it can be. But the antisemitic element of the post was not the bit criticising the Israeli government. I assume you read it or you wouldn't replying. Therefore you must agree with it - is that correct?

Absolutely this. The policies and actions of the Government are despicable.

GhostCicada · 27/10/2024 12:44

I started reading that article got to the bit where they spoke proudly about how he would take revenge on the women and children in Gaza and thought that's bad. Then I got to the bit where a colleague describes him as 'goofy' for setting someone's house on fire and thought oh it gets worse. Then I got to the part where he shot dead a Palestinian father as he picked olives with his wife and children a year ago and thought bloody hell. Then I got to the part where after this, after he shoots a man dead in front of his family, while there is still an ongoing investigation he is allowed to join the IDF and is given a gun to toddle off to Gaza. What the actual fuck.

There is so much appalling behaviour in that article it's hard to even believe it.

Scirocco · 27/10/2024 12:51

I don't think I would pick 'goofy' as a fitting adjective for him. Maybe a different word beginning with g and ending with y, with the suffix "of multiple war crimes".

More like that continue to commit atrocities in Gaza and the West Bank, and people around the world support that. Disgusting.

It's hard to believe that they thought these were positive things to say about someone in order to remember them.

Do people ever concern themselves with how Hamas came into being and which state tacitly encouraged its development as means of undermining the secular PLO and Arafat? Do people have any concern that Israel has long ago abandoned all attempts to be a secular society in which Jews, Christians, Muslims and non Jewish atheists have equal rights? Do people worry that in light of Netanyahu’s refusal to concede a 2 state solution, his policy seeks a final solution to the Palestinian issue: they are to be removed completely, and the policy of a Greater Israel is to be implemented. Do people have any concern that for decades the Palestinians have been imprisoned in Israeli prisons and subject to cruel and arbitrary laws solely designed to suppress and subjugate Palestinian society? Do people wonder how millions live in decades old refugee camps, or in a prison called Gaza or under military law in the West Bank? Do people ask why nothing is done about ‘the occupied territories” and the poor people who are harassed and murdered out of their towns and villages? Do people wonder why the IDF has engaged in a policy of targeted shootings with high velocity rifles of Palestinian children thereby creating enormous numbers of amputees and paraplegics? Do people wonder why so many aid workers have been targeted in the recent pogrom against the people of Gaza? Do people ever wonder who funds this immense military machine or why Israel insists that any questioning of its policies are to be silenced by using the slur of racism? Oh and the old excuse ‘I didn’t know it was going on’ won’t wash. Gerald Kaufman MP was right about what was going on in Israel, sadly things have worsened considersbly in the last 10 years, its government shames mankind.
