That's a cut and paste of the tweet that highlighted the incident from Ireallyhateyou, so victims is in quotes as he decided to tweet it like that.

I'm guessing he thinks Israelis can't be victims. Real charmer.

Wow, this is the behaviour that is encouraged by the IDF that’s why he feels so normal explaining it.

“While Brafman was in the interview room with detectives, the report said, he spontaneously told them that he was driving his truck, saw two Palestinians and shot and killed both”

Except the shooter might not even be Israeli so you can't necessarily blame the IDF.

Israel has gone some way towards doing the right thing by charging five Israeli Army Reservists for abusing a Palestinian detainee at Sde Temain prison.

This is The Haaretz headline:
Five Israeli Army Reservists Charged With Abusing Gazan Detainee at Sde Teiman

The detainee reportedly suffered rib fractures, a punctured lung, and a rectal injury after being stabbed in the buttocks. The court has prohibited publication of the defendants' names.

”Stabbing in the buttocks” leading to rectal bleeding seems to me to be an extreme form of abuse and seems to me to be rape, but apparently the initial allegations of sexual assault were dismissed.

Haaretz also writes,
This is the second case of alleged abuse of Gazan detainees to result in an indictment since the war began. Two weeks ago, an IDF military court convicted a reservist of abusing detainees during their transfer to Sde Teiman, sentencing him to seven months in prison under a plea deal.

I don't understand. What has the IDF got to do with a shooting in America?

The hats only because there was so much evidence and public outcry

So, the public knows what's happening and the reservists are held accountable for their actions, that's a good thing.

Meanwhile, were the savages who raped, murdered, and kidnapped innocents on October 7th held accountable by Hamas? Of course not, it was a Hamas operation, they were following orders to commit those atrocities.

ScrollingLeaves · 19/02/2025 22:19

These two recent cases are the only ones in a sea of abuses but it is a start.

It also seems the rape with an implement was transformed and sanitised.

The reporting is pretty clear I think . I don’t think it was sanitised or transformed. it was just factual which is to be expected in a news report. I think we could all understand very well what happened. Its good to know IDF soldiers will held accountable for atrocities.

Indeed
Investigation and then charge for any crime found, as expected. Due process and now a trial.

The sheer evil of the minds of the people who came up with that and using what appears to be religious scripture to threaten Gaza, it’s fundamentalism.

You're just going to believe one tweet, no verification, and take off from there?

When I read about the Netanyahu as vampire posters I at least looked to see if I could find credible sources showing me the poster. And it exists, and it is vile.

But you couldn't wait could you?

Wait for what? it's been reported for hours and aligns with past actions of the IDF dropping leaflets:
https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20250220-israel-drops-leaflets-over-gaza-threatening-palestinian-existence-there/

"Israel has repeatedly dropped leaflets over Gaza, after it cut telecommunications cables in the enclave. Hours before the ceasefire was to come into effect, leaflets depicted a drawing of a Palestinian family sat on the rubble of their home, with some reading “Is victory at hand or not yet?” and “A new victory for the resistance” were flown over the Strip"

Edited

There seems to be only one source for the story, I'll wait and see if it's corroborated before commenting.

poor guy. one of the comments under the tweet says: this is probably why Israel refuse to release the 600 Palestinian hostages. sounds plausible.

Agreed. Israel probably doesn't want them to tell the world what happened to them in Israeli custody.

It's just so horrendous 😥

EasterIssland · 25/02/2025 11:03

There is reports of babies dying because of cold temperatures and lack of housing in south Gaza in the last few hours (the Spanish journalist I follow says it’s 4 but I’ve seen reports of higher numbers)

Martymcfly24 · 25/02/2025 22:40

@EasterIssland I read there is 60,000 mobile homes stuck in the Rafah Crossing as Israel refuses to let them in and only 10% of the 200,000 tents have gotten in. Hence the babies dying of cold overnight.

Everyst · 25/02/2025 23:10

This is heartbreaking 💔
Those poor babies, how is this still going on x
