These "useful idiots" will be the first to complain when the price of their goods go up, because cargo ships have to go the 'long way round' to UK. 🙄

Keir Starmer AKA the "Human Weathervane", today finally decides not to endorse the Labour Candidate for Rochdale. He (Ali) made antisemetic remarks that matched one of those placards illustrated.

Labour withdraws support for Rochdale candidate Azhar Ali over Israel comments

The party said the decision was taken after "new information about further comments" came to light.

Do you lot really not see anything wrong with the actions of the Israeli government and that people might, just might, have a problem with the thousands of children they have killed and that's why people might be marching?
Honestly, these threads are all the same, my side good, your side bad. I think it was this thread (could have been one of the many others) posters protesting that it was all about hatred of Jews, while at the very same time defending their own right to be hateful. I despair!

stomachameleon · 13/02/2024 17:11

@Kendodd that event was less than a week after 7/10. Those women dressed as paraglider's and wore pictures of paraglider's on their clothes.
That was the issue.
By all means March if you want peace and a resolution. Not to mock. Surely you see that?

Apparently one of the defendants was an asylum seeker and was worried this Court Case might affect her asylum claim.

Well, she should have thought of that beforehand.

nothing wrong with peaceful protest and marching against Israel, lots of things wrong when it isn’t peaceful and crosses the line into antisemitism. If there were no examples of anti semitism from the marches then this thread wouldn’t exist. Calling for intifada is not peaceful for example and neither is wearing /using imagery of a paratrooper immediately after Oct 7th on a march.

Anti semitism is rising, and Jews are going to track and record anti semitism against us. We’ve been here before and we cannot afford to stay quiet. If that seems like hyperbole to you, then that is something to be grateful for. But Jews can’t afford to dismiss and minimise this kind of thing, it never ends well for us.

Leaving aside the "you lot" do you really not see that glorifying terrorism , as was the case here, is against the law

Februaryfeels · 13/02/2024 18:39

@Myothercarisareliantrobin

An asylum seeker marching and glorifying terrorism?

I hope that's noted in the right places

Yes, absolutely. And I'm glad those individuals have been prosecuted. I deplore the actions of Hamas and their supporters. I also deplore the recent actions of the Israeli government, killing thousands of children, and all those who support this.

noblegiraffe · 13/02/2024 19:10

So why are you complaining about people discussing it?

Xenia · 13/02/2024 19:17

One was granted asylum in the UK because she hated Hamas who were against her or something along those lines and now presumably she thinks they are the best thing since sliced bread. As expected they had a very minor penalty so there we are.

I'm complaining about the blanket tarring of all marchers. The 'ONLY reason for the marches'. Really??? Do you not think people care about the thousands of children being killed and our own governments support of this???

I believe the title of this thread is a quote from the article the original thread was discussing. I think the point was to discuss the article in question.

stomachameleon · 13/02/2024 20:15

@Kendodd it was originally a Daily Mail article .

Yes yes, "us lot" are all terrible people who love children being killed and you're a better person than all of us. Congratulations. You can go now.

Kendodd said “Honestly, these threads are all the same, my side good, your side bad.”

This is a perfect example of that.

Assertions that the “other side” ‘you lot’ (which in this case appears to be people pleased that some other people have finally been charged with supporting terrorism) are all terrible people.

It’s very tedious.

stomachameleon · 13/02/2024 21:16

@inkworks273 what would you like 'us' to do?

I really don't care what you do. It's been 4 months and the things I've witnessed Israel do have shocked me to my core. To me, anyone still supporting Israel at this point is morally depraved.

Some things really are black and white and supporting these war criminals as they murder innocent children is one of those things.

noblegiraffe · 13/02/2024 21:33

Seems like you don’t even know the opinions of ‘us’ but are quite happy to spout shit about ‘us’ anyway,

Nothing but smug sanctimonious virtue-signalling.

In what world does being against the murder of children make you smug and sanctimonious?

If calling out people who support the entity that is murdering children makes you smug and sanctimonious then I'll wear that tag with pride.
