Please do all you can to object to the genocide of Palestinians

It’s just heartbreaking. I’ve seen videos on twitter that are beyond anything I can even begin to describe. Palestinians are being murdered in their thousands and the western media is largely pretending it’s not happening.

The average age of the people who have been killed in Gaza is FIVE years old.

The UK media are not showing how the Israeli government is openly talking about, and cheerleading genocide now. Israeli government speaks about Palestinians as if they are not humans. They are saying women are targets as they can have babies. I’ve just read how, since October 7th they have taken over 5,000 Palestinians from the West Bank and tortured them. They were already routinely arresting Palestinians and taking them away from their family with no reason and no but this is not being adequately reported.

Please, please visit sites such as 972 magazine and declassified uk. The BBC, etc, unfortunately aren’t reporting the extent to what is going on.

Israel and its allies are repurposing the goals and lies of 1948 – in Gaza in 2023

Israel is openly carrying out ethnic cleansing inside Gaza, driving Palestinians outside their homeland as happened in 1948. And yet, just as during the first “Nakba”, Israel's lies and deceptions dominate the West’s media and political narrative.

On this topic it’s generally the only acceptable position and what is genetically taught from young - it was to me but go shut down voices that have actually experienced it. You’ll be delighted to hear the Irish have a hate speech bill on the go that will help you continue to label anything you don’t like as “hate speech” and get people prosecuted and shut down

Xenia · 03/12/2023 09:36

I just grateful in the UK and Ireland there is freedom of speech, even if there are lots of posts about this topic with which I do not agree (I support Israel as does the UK).

Did your AI bot not generate anything else for you Xenia?

@Xenia do you always have to add a quote saying this? ( (I support Israel as does the UK).)

I mean you don’t have to say who do you support. We can guess from your words. Same as you can know I criticise Israel’s government. I don’t have to add it all the time to my comments as if I need a reason to make others understand “im right you’re wrong”. Your comments are coming like that

beigecartoon · 03/12/2023 09:41

@EasterIssland @Dinkydaisy1 I agree with you both. There comes a point where it just seems like a derailment tactic as it is always the same. A bit tedious now.

beigecartoon · 03/12/2023 09:43

@Xenia I support innocent Palestinian and Israeli civilians, as do most people in the UK.

Maybe cus she has literally nothing else to say, no depth to qualify her words, no knowledge, information, reading, thought.

It's like "the computer says no" - "I support Israel" beep.

beigecartoon · 03/12/2023 09:50

@Dinkydaisy1 I'd rather support innocent civilians personally, a ceasefire and human rights for all. Sadly lots of posters don't like us supporting a ceasefire and human rights.

Ikeasucks · 03/12/2023 10:11

I’ve looked at some of the early comments on this thread - the fact that so many are calling Israel’s action “genocide” (and also many other comments) could be deemed as “hate speech” by some. Personally i prefer to let people speak their mind (with some exceptions) and let it stand and be judged but you do you and report and get rid of views you don’t like and class it as “hate speech”. As i said i imagine you will be a huge fan of the Irish Hate Speech bill being proposed

beigecartoon · 03/12/2023 10:21

@Ikeasucks MN agreed it was hate speech, so they have removed the comment. Just be careful with the words you choose, and you won't have comments removed.

Talking of hate speech, I'll repeat the cartoon I added earlier upthread for you.

Please do all you can to object to the genocide of Palestinians

Agreed - I don’t support the Israeli government or Hamas.

Many experts, including the ex-Chief Prosecutor of the ICC, are calling it genocide. That isn't hate speech, but many experts, many of them with years of in-depth legal knowledge, assessing a situation and giving their judgement. Obviously many members of the public agree. Many Israeli politicians have made comments which back it up (calling for the eradication of Gaza/all Palestinians, etc.).

stomachameleon · 03/12/2023 10:33

@ChickHenLittle I am not being glib but Israel doesn't recognise the ICC do they?
And I am sure I read that Hamas weren't happy they were called out either.
Which leaves one state, one terrorist group not recognising an institution that is condemning them so rather impotent.

If I have this wrong tell me. It was just reading articles.

Many experts ( including Jewish ones) have called it a genocide. That's good enough for me.
Besides, it appears that you do not understand what hate speech is.

RubberPlantGirl · 03/12/2023 11:09

Wow this thread is getting nasty. The last two pages are largely posters throwing insults, labelling all opposing viewpoints as " hate speech" and getting extremely personal when referring to various poster's heritage. If you were to act like this in public, it would be seen as hysterical behaviour and no matter how fervent your argument, it would be dismissed as rantings . We all have strong opinions but to express them in this way is childish and counterproductive.

I take you didn’t see the comment that has been deleted for being hate speech against the citizens of a country whose viewpoints differ from the posters. We shouldn’t accept hate speech and insults against anyone independently from where they were born

Kindatired · 03/12/2023 19:50

Chaitales · 03/12/2023 09:32

Make your own thread about indoctrinated Irish and evil Palestinians then.
And pray that one day your people aren't suddenly turned on for political purposes with global calls for annihilation. It's happened before to various people - Congo, slavery, Holocaust, Rwanda, Bosnia - don't be on your high horse that it won't happen again. And remember when you decided to be on the wrong side of history and played a part in cheering on one mass murder.

This thread is about encouraging ordinary people to take whatever actions they can to stop the mass killings if Gazan civilians, not about your opinions ( possibly racist as they’ve been deleted), about the Irish. You can’t stifle the truth by discrediting the entire Irish population and when you try, it just discredits your argument further.

Prominent Irish politicians were among the first to speak out against the disproportionate response to the Hamas atrocities.
But they’ve been followed by leaders of other countries.
Even now, as even US politians call for moderation , I can see that the US public are appalled as the high death figures cannot be concealed. The comments sections in the normally pro Israeli New York Times on each piece in relation to this conflict overwhelmingly call for an end to civilian deaths in Gaza and a different approach to dealing with the terrorist threat. The tide has turned.

And your people have not been “suddenly turned on for political purposes”- the Israeli government is treating huge numbers of Palestinian women and children as disposable side products of their anti- terrorist activities and right minded people have got to call this out.

beigecartoon · 03/12/2023 19:58

@Kindatired Chaitales was referencing a prior comment that a PP had made about all Irish people being brainwashed and indoctrinated, and saying they made racist comments, rather than being racist themselves.

The comment was made by a different poster but has since been deleted which is why the comments under seem a bit odd, as they are not shown in context. So I think you are maybe replying to the wrong person?

Kindatired · 03/12/2023 20:01

Apologies Chaitales

beigecartoon · 03/12/2023 20:05

@Kindatired :) I absolutely agree with your comment in context of it applying to the other poster who originally expressed that sentiment about Irish people.

Hi,

Yes I was replying to someone who made disparaging remarks about Irish and against Palestinians.

Thank you @beigecartoon for clarifying

The title of this thread is "Please do all you can to object to the genocide of Palestinians" so you have no right to accuse people of derailing the thread when they are objecting to this very claim.

Hence I object the very motive of this thread, it is erroneous. Accusing anyone with an opposing view as hateful is just a cowardly way of saying that you don't really have an educated opinion to argue.

The Israeli government does not have a racist, genocidal agenda towards Palestinians. The Israeli government has a genocidal intent towards HAMAS and Hamas alone.

Once again my intention is not to derail this thread, rather its to prove how warped this entire thread is.

Israel is well documented over the last 75 years as having an aparthied regime against Palestinians. The state is built on the murder and displacement of millions of Palestinians since 1948 at least and takeover of their land. Their children are raised to hate Palestinians "Amalek" and that attacking Arabs is honorable and Arab blood spilled is just a side effect in achieving the goal of restoring Jewish land to Jewish people in preparation of arrival of the messiah. They have been documented to kill, torture, imprison and attack Arab people and land decades before Hamas was even created. ALL of this (and more) is searchable with verified sources.

Hamas are underground in tunnels and Israel is bombing houses, apartment blocks and hospitals full of people. Killing thousands. If that's not genocidal intent I don't know what is. Look at the news tonight. It's diabolical.

Posted this on another thread but probably fits in here too
This is French president Macrons statement on the weekend. Keeping in mind that the French are allies with Israel
When the allies are issuing such statements its definitely a big red flag

The right response against a terrorist group is not to eliminate an entire territory or to bomb the entirety of civilian capabilities.“There is no lasting security for Israel in the region if its security comes at the cost of Palestinian lives and therefore the resentment of all public opinion in the region.”
