In the last few day I’ve seen several art work around the world supporting Palestine.

I completely agree that for many on the left this conflict is a strong example or symbol of the oppressed and the oppressor, the Marxist concept of the bourgeois and the proletariat or a poorer Gaza against a wealthy Israel or the imbalance in power between a poor civilian population suffering in a war against a modern military.

Who started what first or did what or who is to blame is much less important to those on the left than sympathy and support for the weaker or oppressed side against a stronger or oppressive side.

You seem to be saying that whatever atrocity Hamas committed against innocent Israelis you would always unequivocally support Palestinians.

You don’t think the Bibas family deserves “sympathy and support “ because they are Israelis and therefore from the “stronger or oppressive side” ?

Perhaps I have misunderstood your post @1dayatatime ? Maybe it was a criticism of a flawed and simplistic way of interpreting all conflict through a Marxist lens .
