My god for a moment there I thought the Big Ben picture was an official projection 😳🫢

I love this especially the doctor holding the baby. It’s breaks and melts my heart at the same time.

not sure if someone can name the people it represents, I can see Bisan, Plesia, Wael (I think) and Motaz not sure the other two, doctor with baby and the journalist on the left

The watermelon
After the 1967 war palestinians were not allowed to show or display any symbols of the palestinian flag
This lasted all the way till 1993
At the time they would defy this in a subtle way by the image of a cut watermelon as it has the same colours as the palestinian flag

There was some reshuffle in the Spanish government this week (or last can’t remember). Some people were carrying what we call Palestinians(keffiyeh) and some others watermelon badges . This is the same party in the government that has really criticised Israel’s government actions.

It's wonderful to see people around the world showing solidarity with Palestine.

I'm not coping with the knowledge that so many children have been through pain and terror into death. However uplifting the worldwide support for the country, I'm absolutely haunted by what has been done and cannot be undone.

Little grey faces of tiny, dusty corpses or children screaming in pain or loss.

Too much.

I was in bcn over the weekend. I didn’t attend the demo as my flight was early morning.
I think the numbers are really good taking into account

1. There was a 5km and 10km race this morning through town
2. There was a demo against violence on women
3. This demo

@EasterIssland yes its great! And the council has suspended ties with Israel so a step ahead.

Not sure whether they’re doing it but the people working at the harbour said last week or week before they’d not board any weapons that were meant to go to Israel or Palestine. They refuse to take part on this war and continue helping on it
