Hi all,

I have news.. Aunt Flo is here. In rather a lot of pain there especially on one side, shoulder is joining in, felt too sick to eat my dinner and am feeling a wee bit hot and calmy! BUT there is no interruption in auntie so I think I am pretty much ok. Will be having another bath in a minute and then going to bed early. Have also just found some strong pain pills to help me sleep through. Have told DH if Jack wakes tonight there is NO contest who is getting up to cuddle him, and its not me!! Feeling really crappy, and disappointed, but at least this ride is nearly over. If I get any iller will check with doc, as this period is certainly not the norm for me by a mile! I guess the jumping about I did today paid off...

Big cuddles to you all.
Here's to the next try eh..?

loueytbg · 05/06/2010 21:56

Massive congrats to cupcake and mrcupcake on baby Jude. Lovely name Sounds as though after all that waiting, once things got going it was reasonably quick.

pfj hugs to you for AF but I'm glad the uncertainty is over. Sorry you are in so much pain though. Hope you feel better soon x

Going home tomorrow from Cornwall so another 5+ hours in the car.

ThePFJ · 05/06/2010 22:15

massive fight with dh.. apparently his foot pain is far more important than how I feel tonight.. isn't that nice?

CurlyBigPants · 06/06/2010 07:27

pfj hope you are okay and got some sleep also hope you and dh made up as yesterday may be the first day of your pregnancy so some serious lovinay be required in a week or so

big waves to all. In desperation we are starting the pickup putdown thing from baby whisperer today to get curlygirl to go down to sleep. She now will only fall asleep being snuggled at the moment and wakes when we put her back in cot and cries. Wish me luck!!!!

CurlyBigPants · 06/06/2010 07:29

Don't know what "lovinay" means!!! That should read "some serious lovin may be required"

barbie1 · 06/06/2010 07:46

MORNING CURLY!

good luck for later, little D took 35 mins of crying the first time, 25 the next night and by the 3rd night only 8 mins! The trick is to get them as sleepy as poss and then put them done, forgive me if you already know this!... it was easier for us as the lo only sleeps on her front so we just sit and rub her back or pat her bum! We didnt pick her up, only if she gets too hot or fussy. it helped loads that my mum did the first few attempts while i locked myself away...

MummyLovesSadie · 06/06/2010 07:48

PFJ from what you've said it really does sound to me like you've had a cp. Maybe this will help.

Curly we tried the pu/pd method with dd when she was about 18 months old. It took an hour & a half of standing over her cot one night but that seemed to crack it.

MummyLovesSadie · 06/06/2010 07:49

Morning Barbie

barbie1 · 06/06/2010 07:55

hello mls how are you and bump?

pfj i have asked to be your friend on fb im sorry that af turned up but like you said least now you can figure out what is happening to you and you still have the doctors appointment to discuss things over with. AS for you dh im for you! Men eh????

barbie1 · 06/06/2010 08:00

Forgot to ask gracie how the christening went? Hope you all had a lovely day. Btw D is waking every 3 hours at night again must be a growth spurt least now i can put her back into hr own bed after and not spend the next 3 hours half asleep turning not to disturb her. Kudos to blue for getting her little one sleeping through the night. at how much little blue is drinking though, we get max of 3oz down our lo and that takes nearly 40 mins!

CurlyBigPants · 06/06/2010 10:07

Mornin Barbie and MLS thanks for the advice I was really nervous but it went okay. Did the whole winddown routine and left her chirping away to herself. We've been shudhpatting her to sleep for a couple of months now in our arms and it works really well but we obviously started not putting her down quick enough as the poor little love has no concept of falling asleep without our help. Anyway after she cried I went back in and started pupd and 21 mins later she conked out in her cot and is still asleep. Dh and I are closeted in our room eating croissants and hot chocolate now

did you guys use pupd for naps too?

Forgot to wish Gracie a lovely day too

barbie I've been meaning to ask you how you like life there now? Do you think you will stay in Dubai?

Neeko · 06/06/2010 10:44

Morning.

Yaaaaaaaaaay to the arrival of littl Jude. Bet Cupcake and MrCupcake's cheeks are sore from grinning Enjoy your babymoon.

PFJ sorry AF got you and for the fight with your DH. Hope when you do get your BFP it's a big, bold, unambiguous line.

Vjay Blue and Curly loving the broodiness talk Makes me quite excited to think that there might be a round two of BFPs. Think I'll always feel broody when I see a newborn but know I couldn't do it all again. Will miss the unique buzz of POAS tho

Vjay do the boys share a room or is Ajay still in with you? Can I ask how you are getting on with your coil? Has it stopped your periods? I'm going to get one fitted soonish but can't decide which one.

curly H will be 10 weeks on Monday. It's only a very loose routine so far but wanted to get her used to sleeping at night without us talking and the tv on as sometimes think she wakes in the night because it's too quiet. Still more or less feeding to sleep though. Good luck for today.

Gracie enjoy the christening. How did you get on with the cup?

Blue Hope I has a great birthday. Bet you're surrounded by noisy toys and B is loving the wrapping paper.

4ever sorry to hear you're feeling rubbish physically but it's very early days. I noticed a big difference after 3 weeks both times.

MLS thrush? Poor u. Hope the anyibiotics are helping you though. Confess! Have you started baby shopping yet?

Louey have a nice weekend away.

Barbie was so hot here last night that I was thinking of you and wondering how D copes then realised you probably have air con Hope you're not too sad bout the relatives leaving.

LBM 4 is a lovely number

Mermaid are you still on holday?

Moon Sorry RL is so crappy. Hope you're ok.

I'm a golf widow today so going to annoy visit my parents.

Left handed typing is doing my head in! So just a big Hi to everyone else.

barbie1 · 06/06/2010 10:48

well done curly!!! I use the same routine for naps..i see her pulling her ears and know its time for bed. We now take her to her room and put her in the cot. During the day she sometimes sleeps in her pram, but i never change the night routine. Play time at 5, keep her going til 6pm when she starts to get cranky, bath at 6....change and bottle of ebm, takes us until about 6.45pm and then i try to get more food down her, normally in bed and fast asleep by 7.15.

I think you cant be too fussy about the day routine, life changes from one day to the next, but i want her to go to bed at night all relaxed and not scared of her cot.

As for living out here..its getting hot. 50degrees the other day! thankfully she is old enough to go into water so early evening when is only 35degrees (dont hate me!) we can have some time out side. other than that all places have ac so we are quite ok to walk around the malls etc. Dh and i are used to the heat, im sure D will be soon...our ac is on 24 degrees and im feeling cold today!

Dh has 3 more years on his contract, while he has a job we will stay, nothing in the uk to come home for apart from family and friends, the plan is to save enough to be able to pay a big deposit on a house and have enough money to renovate it and also enough to take the pay cut.... One day im sure we will come home.

Hope you enjoyed the croissants!

barbie1 · 06/06/2010 10:50

x post with Neeko... hello!

barbie1 · 06/06/2010 11:24

haha i was right!

Feeling a little better about my wobbly bits now!

CurlyBigPants · 06/06/2010 13:08

Lol Barbie there is no getting anything past you!! Dubai sounds great. Hope next time you are home we can meet up tho

We did the same Neeko and it worked well but now she seems to need to get away from it all. She's so interested in everything!!!

Sabs did u go to the wedding in the end? How is little saara doing today? I know I will be exactly the same if curlygirl isn't well. It's hard to know what to do x

dh is trying to settle curlygirl for her second nap and she's still very unhappy 10 mins in. Poor little thing She did brilliant and slept for 1 and a half hours solide in the last one though

ThePFJ · 06/06/2010 15:00

MLS I think you are right.

DH has done nothing but yell at me all morning.. and Sunday is supposed to be the day when he does the housework and lets me lie in. He says he is ill. Well so am I, I think I am in the middle of losing a pregnancy or sorts, so I played the 'let's look after eahcother' card and he's not having it clearly, as he has started yelling again. I am all out of sympathy tokens now. So he can off. I am sitting on my bed relaxing now. I think I deserve it.

VJay · 06/06/2010 16:16

Afternoon lovelies

blue hopeI is having a lovely birthday

neeko Ajay is still in with us, we are going to convert our garage soon, then we'll have a third bedroom so Ajay can go in then. I had thought about putting the boys in together, but DS1 needs his own space, he chills out in his room a lot . The coil has really settled down now, I had a light AF about a month after I stopped bf, then an even lighter one this time round, so am pleased I've had another one now. As for another, I really don't think I could I could go through any more mc's, I know I may not, but it's the fact that I may, plus lots of other reasons, money, space etc...like you said, doesn't stop us form being broody

pfj glad you are relaxing, how is AF now, has it settled any?

barbie that is very hot out there, but you sound so settled now it's lovely

curly I've never done the pupd routine, well not intentionally any way, I've just made it up as I go along .

gracie hope you have a lovely day today

Big waves to everyone

Forgot to add, I've finished ds1's recycling project, we made a bird house out of an orange juice carton, put lolly sticks on top to make a roof, cut a hole in the side, and got a bamboo stick (a small piece) and put it through the carton to make a perch. I have taken a picture will pop it on here when I get a mo.

Afternoon ladies.TMI alert . I usually ovulate on cd 15 or 16. Last month was my first ever delayed ovulation -cd 18 or 19. We try to BD every day for a few days before ov, and then on ov and one day after.

Expecting to ov on cd 15 or so again (but also assuming it may be later) we only started to bd on cd 12 this cycle. I use a CBFM and got a peak today, cd 13. So I feel we haven't done it enough .

DH suggested we Bd this morning and again tonight. We did this morn, but I am now v worried it was too soon after last night (for sperm to replenish etc) and I don't know if we should skip tonight?

But tomorrow is most likely to be ovulation day.

Feel weirdly upset and unprepared because my cycle has thrown me a curve ball. What would you do - would really appreciate some advice . Typing this from my phone and have cramp in my hand so can't reply right now to other posts....DH most amused I am asking MN when we should have sex.

VJay · 06/06/2010 16:43

{grin] justshaggy just go for it, it only takes one but the more the better IMO, so do it tonight, then again tomorrow, then again the day after to be sure. Good luck, I'm waving my poms poms, don't let me distact you

OP posts:
MummyLovesSadie · 06/06/2010 16:48

Ooooo Shaggy I love a dilemma like this, it's like deja vu! Let me get dd's dinner ready & I'll brb.

MummyLovesSadie · 06/06/2010 17:09

Shaggy imo if you bd tomorrow that will be enough. I honestly don't think you'll gain anything by doing it again tonight & like you say, he needs time to replenish his stock. The last four times I've been pregnant I bd'd the day AFTER getting a +opk & that seemed to work.

Vjay I'm visualising the bird-house, it sounds excellent! I'm also storing it away in my memory for future use!

Curly we didn't have problems getting dd to sleep for her daytime naps, it was just at night. Stick at it & it will work.

Barbie if she looks that good with spanx I'm off out to get me a pair!

Neeko funny you should mention baby shopping! Today I wrote two lists, things we need to do & things we need to buy. I've now crossed the first thing off one list as we bought some lovely seagrass baskets to store the baby clothes in.... most satisfying! Have you watched the final of BGT yet? I won't spoil it for you if you haven't but unless you've had a bucket over your head all day I'm sure you already know the result!

MummyLovesSadie · 06/06/2010 17:10

PFJ remember what I said about your fertility after a cp.

justshaggy · 06/06/2010 17:38

vjay, mls -thanks for advice.DH just argued that if it takes 24hrs for a man to fully replenish, and we've done it once already, then we need to do it again within 12hrs again to get the other 50% .

I think whatever we do I'm going to feel as if I screwed it up this cycle . Still typing from phone...
