barbie1 · 22/07/2010 16:39

Still no news la la la la la la la (barbie hums to drown out iggy shouting at her)

monkey welcome back you have been missed! Glad you had a nice time at the wedding. Im sorry too that you are having a bit of a head f**k right now, stay here so we can hold your hand and help you through it.
To answer your question, nope i cant talk to dh whenever i want i have to wait for a very delayed, crappy signal and make do with a 5 min call a day, but still its something so cant be too downcast.

Would love to write more but im shattered..went to bed last last and couldnt sleep at all in the end i was awake so long D woke for her feed and then had a two hour play, so in all i had 3 hours sleep last night. Im surviving on full fat coke and grapes!

Love to you all, speak more soon x

bluesatinsash · 22/07/2010 21:13

Iggy - hurrumph.... boing boing

monkey - it is tricky contolling a toddler whilst wearing your wedding finest . Sorry AF turned up, know you weren't really ttc but understand that you are in a bit of a damned if you are and damned if you aren't situation. Horrible that you have three reminders of your lost angel and your EDD is approaching... Keep busy, post here, sniff your DS, we will see you through it all. BTW the new Boden catalogue must be en route soon!!

mermaid - you always make me chuckle . Hope you're heart isn't aching too badly but I know some days it must. re: my veg. I'm actually worried at what I thought were my tomato plants are actually weeds . Do they flower before fruit starts to grow?

barbieflyingsolowithstyle - hope D is sleeping better. You are doing brilliantly , I take my hat off to you for coping without your DH and family. The love you have for D just jumps off the page . She will sleep evenntually. B is 7-7 and believe me I NEVER thought I would see the day when only two months ago he was up at 1am/4am/5am EVERY night.

neeko - looking forward to our meet up on Tuesday - eeek!

Sabs - so sorry you have all this worry... Are you with the NHS? I work in HR for NHS so if you have any 'legal' queries let me know.. re: mat leave, You have to be treated as fairly as any other employee but that doesn't mean they have to give you special treatment unfortunately... Fingers crossed for you and try not to let it ruin your last couple of months off with Saara..

Vjay - I used to look at my DH like this when he dared say he was tired . How are you filling the hols? Is Cjay pottering about? Isaac said something was 'awaseome' today - 4 going on 13!! Our garage conversion starts on 2nd August, dare I ask how your's is going?

4ever - Summer is just beautiful, a brown velvety eyed honey. "Sumertime and the living is easy...." Ella Fitzgerald lovely classy jazz toon . Dress details please!!

Tea's brewer, I'm outa here x

VJay · 22/07/2010 21:14

monkey I agree with you about waiting a while before getting another dog, me and dh have said that we'll know when the time is right .
So sorry your head is in a crappy place right now, but it's very understandable. As for the other pg ladies, just smile at them then come talk to us on here, we'll keep you upright

iggs any news?????????????

OP posts:
bluesatinsash · 22/07/2010 21:17

Hey Vjay - quick hi five, gotta dash downstairs for my tea and maltesers xx

VJay · 22/07/2010 21:22

Hiya blue, the garage conversion is coming on nicely , it's up to dh to put the floor in next, then the walls and ceiling, then we'll get the electritian etc in. I don't think it'll be finished this year, but hopefully early next year, and we'll certainly appreciate it once it's done. I did suggest that the builder could have stayed on and done some more, but dh really wants to do it, which is fine.
Lol at Isaac saying awesome, he's a cool lil'dude
The holidays are flying by, can't believe we are half way through, we have soft play for ds1 on mondays and wednesdays, dh is off tuesdays and thursdays, and I have plenty of housework, playing with the boys and study to fill the other days. My lovely sister is up for a week the beginning of August plus we are off down the road for a couple of weddings too. I have bought a maxi dress , well a shock for me, I'm such a jeans and jumper girl, and it's nice feel so femenine in it, my nan will be so happy
Gosh that's a long reply to you

OP posts:
VJay · 22/07/2010 21:24

Hi-five

OP posts:
VJay · 23/07/2010 09:07

This is not a moan, but why is Ajay waking up at 2am AND 4am for a bottle? He was sleeping through, but for over a week now he has been doing this? Oh and his walking is coming along nicely, I will have to buy him some shoes soon, I am just not ready for my wee baby boy to have shoes, or to be walking!!!!!

OP posts:
iggypiggy · 23/07/2010 09:49

Right - I have come to the following conclusion:

Monday = very quiet baby all day - movements v small, constant needing to wee (poss head fully engaged or close?) - that evening, bloody show - cramps etc... All day tues - mild cramps..

Weds = baby moving more - less weeing - almost no cramps = baby disengaged again?

So monday was some kind of practice run? But it all failed and am now nowhere... incredibly hormonal, but nowhere... so am still waiting - expect no more news from me for a while... apologies for selfish post...

barbie1 · 23/07/2010 10:00

iggy Barnaby (thats what i think you baby boy will be called ) will make an appearance when he is good and ready..obviously right now he isn't. I know how bloody frustrating the last few days are but do things for yourself, like paint your nails, pedicure you feet if you can reach, read a book because believe me in 8 weeks time you will be missing you time! big hugs...

barbie hugs iggy around her leg cos she cant reach around the belly

barbie1 · 23/07/2010 10:05

vjay growth spurt? sleep regression? just so excited that he is walking??? all things that could contribute to vjays waking, i feel your pain!

When do you drop the mattress in the cot???? last night i had a heart stopping moment when i woke and Dolly was kneeling up holding on the the bars looking over the side the thing is i know she can get into a standing position so could of lunched herself over.... I co-slept for the rest of the night.

blue thats for your comment re going solo, i am pretty proud that we have coped, as for the love jumping of the page, i try not to gush too much, im conscious of our smallpanters, been there, did that and had at everyone with a baby, but yeah i do love her lots

4everhopeful · 23/07/2010 12:15

Vjay obviously im no expert but could it be that Ajays walking is using up lots of energy & making him extra hungry? Iggs I dont think a 1st baby can become unengaged? fear not before the weekend is out i reckon you will be nursing your bubs! Missed my date of yest in sweepstake, never got to add to list cos of phone post! .... Barbie i think cot gets lowered at exactly this point! As soon as she can pull herself up! Love Dolly btw is that a nickname? How cute! S is still biscuit! Im also conscious of going on too much for fear of upsetting anyone.. In fact i was worried that saying about my scan pics might of? I only said it cos having 47 pics showed the long hard & scary journey i been on to get to where i am, & as i said it was actually very emotional, i relived every stomach churning scary scan moment as i put them in the album, i cried quite alot.. I said i half joked when preg id have enough pics to fill an album but deep down never dared to believe id really get to do it.. So, obviously, it was very significant & a real rollercoaster of emotion to actually really do it! Also amazing to watch her grow, remember i had weekly scans from wk 6 to wk 20, then every 2wks from wk 23 cos of 2vessel cord!

iggypiggy · 23/07/2010 12:22

4ever yes they can, they move up and down quite often, but stay engaged to some degree.. Mine has moved down to 3/5 engaged and back up to 1/5 engaged and back down to 2/5 at the last appt. Am off for my appt in a bit... Will have more news (or lack of news) later.

4everhopeful · 23/07/2010 12:27

Oh i stand corrected.. Sorry!

barbie1 · 23/07/2010 12:48

iggy good luck at your appt, fingers crossed they say you are already 7cm dilated and ready to go

4ever yep her nickname is dolly havent said that before cos it sounded so silly but she is still so small like a little doll (although looking at pictures you would never guess, its the wide angle lens i tell ya! ), and everyone in dubai tells me she is perfect like a toy dolly so the name stuck!

4everhopeful · 23/07/2010 12:49

To be fair i did think you meant disengaged back to free floating, contractions make the head move up & down anyway.. Only said it to try & reassure you! Didnt mean to annoy an already stressed pregnant lady!

barbie1 · 23/07/2010 12:54

vjay your post about ajay made me cry i was thinking about D growing up too fast and soon will be walking, then 1, 2, 3 and then school .. i was reading a thread about the kids leaving preschool and how all the mums cry at the assembly and that set me off too, i dont want her to grow up , this will sound really really silly but to me Dolly has never been a baby, not the kind you can cuddle and just set down and watch her for hours (well maybe when she was first born but that was yonks ago, my brain tends to forget...) but she is the kind of baby who is always in such a rush to get through life, all wiggly and squirmy. I have always thought her to be older than she is...i miss my baby does that make sense?

I think im still a hormonal heap since messing up the pill pack I can cry at the drop of a hat right now....... off to find another funny thread to keep my amused.

barbie1 · 23/07/2010 12:57

4ever i dont think you did annoy iggy i think she was just trying to reassure herself and you that it is normal...bless her, i remember my head being all over the place the last few days

barbie1 · 23/07/2010 13:02

im rambling to myself a lot arent i?

Ignore me, im bored, dolly is asleep, housework done, nothing on tv and too hot to go outside....

blue your words always give me encouragement. I know one day i will get 12 hours sleep and it will be awesome! but in the mean time i dont mind, really i dont...soon she wont want mummy or my boobies

Oh and dh just called he will be home tues morning

Best get the razor out and find nicer, non pregnancy pants

4everhopeful · 23/07/2010 13:34

Yea Barbie i was just tryin to reassure Iggy too.. I was still quite weebly & teary from my last post, pouring out my emotions about what it meant to me going through my scan pics again... As i said, i was in tears doing it. Obviously people in RL wont get what that actually means to me as much, which is why i posted about it on here today & yesterday.. Fwiw i also hate S getting bigger & cherish every second of her, course thats alot to do with never truly believing our miracle baby would really be here..

iggypiggy · 23/07/2010 16:05

4ever sorry if my post seemed a bit brusque, was just in a rush, wasn't annoyed! Am v much on edge today hormonally, so hope you'll all
forgive me... Feel half way between tears and hysterical laughter most of the time...

Anyway... Appt fine, still 2/5 engaged... But am 1 cm dilated and cervix soft... Had sweep, now bleeding a bit feel v emotional... Have next appt on tues to discuss options if am still waiting...

barbie1 · 23/07/2010 16:15

iggy 1cm and soft? thats good news! i doubt very much you will be waiting on tues, waiting to come home from hospital with Barnaby maybe!

Oh and i bleed quite a bit after sweep, more so a few days after

VJay · 23/07/2010 16:40

iggy I too think Barnaby will be here by the weekend , or Monday at the lastest. Sending you lots of positive pushing vibes

barbie and 4ever I think you are both right, I think Ajay is waking due to a combination of walking and growth spurt. It will settle down soon enough.

barbie as for growing up too fast, I told my mil about ajay walking today and she said 'well he is nearly one', to which I replied, 'no, he's 10 and 3/4 months' . I am clinging on to his babyhood

OP posts:
mermaidspurse · 23/07/2010 18:26

omg look at all the hormones flying around in here

nothing upsets me anymore, apart from dvd players that is, i'll think of something else in a minute. ah yes magic trees even worse when people have 3 of them all hanging up and dangling. Thats better

blue the flowers are good news it means that the little yellow bit falls off very soon and underneath your little tomatoes will be growing - I would maybe up the tomorite or whatever you are feeding them?

barbie move dollys cot down she is way too athletic - are we all proud or what girls? trying to work out which olympics aj and dolly will be in whatever it is we will be old.
I so know what you mean about it rushing past ds is 9 in a few weeks

iggy think I had better put my jokes carefully away - thinking of you masses over the weekend, it will be ok and you will just go with the flow and everything will be ok, passing hankys and chocolatexx

vjay reckon 4ever could be right on the energy thing? I looked at those first crusing/ walking shoes in clarkes when I was in there, they are yum. I can remember ds having his photo taken wadling in them, do clarkes still do that? they bloody well should for the price. Hope you have a better night.

hope everyone else is ok and has a good weekend.
