Hi guys,
Quick post from work whilst on my lunch..
Good to hear MLS and Neeko back and posting .
Vjay - belated[ sad] for the passing of your beloved pooch. How are you all bearing up this week?
barbie - D is crawling . Man she'll be off and running and asking for an i-phone for Xmas . B is still trying to crawl but not getting anywhere as he can't get 'ourchase' with thos shubby toes of his .
To add my tuppence worth re: night feeds. We used ot make up a bottle with water, pop it in thermos bag, have poweder in dispenser and make up on demand when B woke. It worked for us mainly because he was 5 months plus when we switched to FF and he used to wake once @ 1am so we knew to boil kettle at 10pm and water cooled to being nicely warm by wake up time.
BTW He is 7-7 now - did I tell you all? shockerooni . He loves his food so much that his tummy is nice and full. He is also much better than his bib brother at self settling through the night - clever boy.
Neeko - re: props. I still rock B for his naps in rockng chair but put him to ped awake at night. I still rocked Isaac to sleep last November as he was still napping after lunch. It was tricky as his legs nearly touched the ground but we managed . I think the MOST important thing is that H is actually napping regardless of how you get there. As she gets more predictable andyou know her sleep cues she will take less and less propage to go down and you can switch off the exctractor fan . You can buy CD's of white noise you know...
LBM - you sound like you are having a tough old time just now with J's colic. hope your DH is helping even just to take baby out of your arms for half anhour. Are you OK? Are you getting a break at all?
MLS - shoogling is indeed a good old Scots word. Same as rocking/swaying but with a bit more meaning. did you buy your DH that 'Katie's Coo' book for Father's Day?
mermaid lol at old boyfriend's getting in touch. I have on on FB whose last post was that he lost 3 stone and is now down to 14. He was a lithe 12 stone when we dated in 1992 . I would look alot flater if I married him .
louey - I hate when I lose a post, you almost feel like weeping. How is your SIL coping with the boys? Peeling them off her are you ?
Iggy - as long as you feel one or two movements a day then don't worry. You must be getting to the royally fed up stage by now.. not long though!
The wedding was fanbloodytastic. I had (and I quote) 4 glasses of champagne (waiters kept filling us up!)and 2 G&T BEFORE dinner followed by two glasses of red wine with dinner but I then very sensibly switched to water . Ceremony was lovely, the bride was my friend from university and it was lovely to see her up there as her last boyfriend went missing on Glencoe in 2006 and was never found so she has been through the mill these past few years but found a lovely man and the rest is history .
We had a great table and all got on sharing photos from FB on our i-phones and singing and dancing all night. DH and me were one of the last to leave @ 2am and he was so rough yesterday that he had to eat his fat man fry up in two sittngs . Bed at 9pm for us but I feel right as rain today.
Its just so reassuring to know I can still cut it socially . My voice is hoarse from all the singing and laughing - a rare old night all round.
Right better go and get back to work.
