C'mon in BESHes to the beach bar...sprawl on comfy sofas while you wiggle your toes in the sand and watch a glorious sunset....and drink brightly coloured cocktails with sparklers in. Cos we're classy, innit.

I've got Adam and joe in as barmen, and we have a rather nice Cave of Gloom in the corner for those 'whyyyyyy meeeeeeee???' moments. We have a reggae sound system playing mob barley's greatest hits. It's a sunshine paradise!

Newcomers welcome,as long as they drag along a bucket of black humour and a vast amount of gin. And please note, some of us have been here so long we have forgotten the real world almost entirely.

Now,who's getting the next round in?

I am good LadiesBits. Fully recovered, enjoying my first 2WOOFL in a long time.

I felt a bit tired earlier. That's a symptom right?

ChoChoSan · 10/06/2010 17:08

Areasontolive Embarrassing bodies makes me ponder on exactly where we at in terms of the cultural life of the British television viewer. This programme is now showing at 9pm on one of the 4 main terrestrial channels at peak viewing time on a Friday night.

On the day I watched it, a few weeks ago, it show the in depth dignosis of an ingrowing arsehair boil and subsequent operation - all in graphic detail. This is what stands for entertainment for the great british public nowadays. karl Marx would have wept!

CUNextTuesday · 10/06/2010 17:09

Ahhhh sex . That's definitely a symptom. Without question.

Scorpette · 10/06/2010 17:49

Cuntles! If you're not up for a shag, how's about a little kiss and cuddle

Aries, my teddy bear's picnic reference was to you suggesting a doll's cull instead of a mooncup and I was inferring the Doc had seen one up inside yer.

Lyra, I admire your refreshing frankness. 'Furry muff' 'Nuff said

I always warm Mitchell's, ahem, area beforehand and therefore have no complaints. Although he was a very bad captive to go on the train killing spree. 'S why he must be kept locked up as our sex slave at all times.

Work was fine, despite sore tum. Fucking bitchwhore nurse.

Ariesgirl · 10/06/2010 17:50

Aaah. The penny drops.

Ariesgirl · 10/06/2010 17:51

Apart from the Dolls' Cull bit. What have you got against dolls?

saltyair · 10/06/2010 18:38

evening. Once again i have pulled a 10 hour day, worked like a bastard AND managed to fit in thinking about whether I am babied up about a thousand times. That my friends, is multi tasking.

Seems a little fruity in here this evening....

PerfectDromedary · 10/06/2010 19:02

Even my acupuncturist doesn't want to see me anymore... Waaaaaaaaaaaaah.

In fairness, what he actually said was he has been treating me to get my fsh level down and there's no point in me spending money on maintenance for the next few months, and I am to go back in September or whenever I manage to diet down to an acceptable size.

Fuckit all. Just fuckit.

ginhag · 10/06/2010 19:10

Poor lovely Camelina - you're having such a hard time and it's just so unfair. Life really sucks sometimes. That sounds like a good idea from WiseGin - you need some treats.

Scorpette · 10/06/2010 20:27

Jesus Christ, talk about kicking a BESH when she's down, Camisole Did he then give you a bell and a hessian smock so you can lurch about the streets intoning 'UNCLEAN! UNCLEAN!'? It's just all piling up on you at the mo, isn't it

Ariesgirl · 10/06/2010 20:50

Shit. Bloody shit news. Sister's had a 35 week scan because they had concerns about something to do with the kidneys and they've discovered the babba's bowel is leaking up into his lungs or something, and she'll have to be induced early with accompanying SCBU-awfulness and operations at 2 days old to try and put it right. Fuck. She's sworn me to secrecy because she doesn't want Parents worried as they're on there holidays and BIL's parents are too and he's in bits and she's trying to hold it together and I can hear the wobble in her voice and I just want to be there with her, but I'm 300 fucking miles away. Shit.

ginhag · 10/06/2010 20:58

Oh Aries your poor sister. That sounds so scary. And I would be exactly the same as you if it was my sis.

Please try and get some comfort from the absolute fucking brilliance of scbu though. I am not the sort to watch programmes about health/baby stuff but did a v/o for a prog called 'special babies' aaaaages ago and it was just AMAZING what those doctors can do.

And it us extremely positive that they know all this in advance and can take steps to do all best things for your sister and the baby.

Of course, none of this makes it all ok and not-scary, but honestly, they will do everything to make it okay.

Good good thoughts out to the Aries clan tho.

I know Ginster and I know how brill they are and how it's fortunate they happened to pick up on it early, so it didn't come out after a long labour and struggle to breathe and them wonder why and have to open him up to find out what's wrong. It's lucky it's happened like this and I told her the exact same thing. I'm also massively aware that this is all about them and their little baby, not me, not my parents, not his parents, so I'm going to to have to restrain my mother not to go haring up the M5. (officially A Tough Job)

But...well...you know...it's just shit

Scorpette · 10/06/2010 21:06

Wot Gin said - they can do truly miraculous stuff in SCBU nowadays and even babies that have multiple, horrible ops go on to be healthy, happy tots with normal lives. Not that any of this can stop you, DSis and BIL bricking it, of course, but just try and keep focusing on the positive; that they've spotted it and can sort it out (however scarily). Must be so difficult for trying to be strong for her when you must feel like collapsing in tears yourself (I feel a bit teary just reading about it, poor thing). The power of BESHLove is with her and her child - you know we'll be sending them all our strongest healing vibes

Ariesgirl · 10/06/2010 21:09

I had a tear leak out then, Scorps.

Thanks for the wishes, ladies.

ginhag · 10/06/2010 21:12

Yep Aries. truly shit. And am really sorry if my post was too,y'know, practical rather than just acknowledging that.

Was just that doing that job genuinely opened my eyes to how amazing those places are.

I've got a sister too. Would be in pieces on the floor if she was in that position.

Oh fuck it I think I'm going to hug you xx

OP posts:
Ariesgirl · 10/06/2010 21:13

No no no no noooooo. No! Practicality is exactly the right thing to say. You said exactly the right thing

PerfectDromedary · 10/06/2010 21:21

Aries my darling. How utterly terrifying for your very brave sister. I have a mate who works in SCBU and they really can do amazing stuff these days, and it sounds like they know exactly what's wrong and how it can be fixed. Can you go and see her this weekend or owt? Or is she too far away?

Many hugs. You sound so worried and like such a brilliant sister.

Ariesgirl · 10/06/2010 21:25

She doesn't want me Drom! I do understand that - I go into a shell when I'm worried to. And it is very far. She'll be at King's so that's the best place in Europe for them.

Muser · 10/06/2010 22:18

Oh Aries, your poor sis. Am hoping for the very best fir her and the baby.

tagine · 11/06/2010 09:38

Oh Aries just seen this. Am so very sorry

They really can do amazing fings these days. But that doesn't make it any easier right now.

When are they inducing her?

Scorpette · 11/06/2010 09:40

Mornin'! Any update on AriesSisBaby? Sending lots more love their way xx

PollyPoo · 11/06/2010 09:43

Oh Aries how frightening. I'm sure they will be fine but it is still worrying. Your poor sis. When are your parents back from holiday and when will they induce her? I hope you managed to get a good nights sleep.

Cam that is crap about your needles man. Talk about kick you when you are down.
