Hey there Beshies ? lurker here ? had to pop in with some info for Scorpette!
I was about to join your chat last year but then discovered we?d need IVF for my unco-operative wombular region and fella's two-headed jizz! ICSI failed so we?re lining up for another go in August but I had a scan with a different hospital recently and wanted to pass on some info for Scorpette and other serious droid pain suffererers (like myself!)
I have major cramps with the droid, getting much worse over the last few years, and a fairly light two day bleed, but horrendous spotting, sometimes starting from 4dpo?I have a 15 day LP so spotting for 10 days before the droid is not much fun, and according to fertility docs is likely to expel any egg that we may have miraculously managed to fertilize!
Anyway the sonographer said I may have ?adenomyosis? because I had a 'boggy'(!) uterus, which was a new one to me. But, after researching on that there Google I can see why she said it. Scorpette, it may well be an issue for you too.
Articles I?ve read said it doesn?t affect fertility, but may cause early miscarriage, and can only be diagnosed by hysterectomy! It can be treated by hormones like the pill, which kinda defeats the object for Beshies, but I?ve found that by using progesterone pessaries in the LP it keeps the spotting at bay (Lovely private fertility doc gave me prescription for them after ICSI failure so that we could keep trying naturally until next treatment)
Sorry to ramble but our experiences are pretty similar and couldn?t help thinking the info might help you while you?re being investigated.
Will quietly back out of the room now, before you have a chance to call the stalking police!
Good luck with everything, and dead legs all round!
Dolly
