BESH is BACK for Spring. Come in, admire the cocktail bar stylings I have created for you. It's all lowlights and smooth sounds, and there's a rehearsal room in back for the GLEE practice.

The barman are beautiful, the Pit has been well stocked with beanbags and gin. So roll up all you 30-something BESHies who stopped counting cycles sometime in the last century, and grab a martini.

Scorpetta, I will swap you 4kg for your luminous skin. Deal?

PerfectDromedary · 25/05/2010 12:29

Now, the really important question of the day...

What can I eat for lunch that will cure my hangover?

Bessie123 · 25/05/2010 12:32

bloody mary?

PerfectDromedary · 25/05/2010 12:35
PollyPoo · 25/05/2010 12:35

Jack Daniels and coke? Always worked for me.

Muser · 25/05/2010 12:36

Fry up!

PollyPoo · 25/05/2010 12:36

Especially if you have it with a lovely bagette stuffed with bacon and mushrooms and braaahhn sauce. Yum

PerfectDromedary · 25/05/2010 12:38

BREAD! I need bread! Right, have been inspired - off to buy an enormo baguette from the nice Irish Ladies round the corner. And some crisps. That will be good, yes.

PerfectDromedary · 25/05/2010 12:39

Oh, and stop talking about more booze, you monstrous hags. I am Never Drinking Again.

SomethingSuitablyWitty · 25/05/2010 12:51

Alice What amazing news!! I am so delighted for you. It's just wonderful. Will be keeping everything crossed for you that it will be all plain sailing from here. Ah it's so fantastic really! No advice except to take it one day at a time - the early weeks are hard and scary! Thinking of you lots though...

Scorpette · 25/05/2010 13:13

Lyra, you can have my luminous skin for less than £30! Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation in Porcelain

Camella, you want what me and my BossFriend call a 'child's meal' - beans, chips and sausages or fishfingers (meaty or veggie) and a big glass of pop. If you can get crinkle-cut chips or smily faces, so much the better. And if you can manage some ice-cream or a lolly after then you've hit gold! Admit it - you all fancy this for lunch now, don't you?!

Gah, I want my Booja Booja now but am currently at my folks' (so they can nurse me - still a bit wibbly on my feet and get super tired doing much else than messing about on here). Accidentally did a 'Basic Instinct' at my Dad getting into the car - thank gawd for granny pants!

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 25/05/2010 13:18

A win! A win! Woohoo! Well done Alice! Da Iawn! That is the fabbest news!

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 25/05/2010 13:20

(ps on a random tangent, I also heart Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation in Porcelain - bet Scorps has no orange freckles to disguise though)

Muser · 25/05/2010 13:39

Bobbi Brown tinted moisturiser balm is also da bomb.

OP posts:
wildfig · 25/05/2010 13:53

congratulations, alice! Exciting! Delicate bundles! Blimey, the threat of IVF and the BESHmeet magic really does work in mysterious ways. What are we rural bumpkins out in the non POAS sticks to do?! They always sound such fun. Maybe satellite link-ups, like on Eurovision?

Another vote for Bobbi Brown SF in Porcelain: an alabaster gal's best friend, along with the Factor 30. scropes you should deffo treat yourself to a lot of chocolate off the internet, you brave brave soldier; it is a proven recuperation must-have.

Casserole · 25/05/2010 13:56

Alicespringseternal that's ay-may-zing news. I'm so pleased for you, genuinely. Well done!

I didn't make the BESH-up Minicaz has been puking and, well, the other thing, since about 5pm yesterday. Bless him he's wiped out. Which is at least making him cuddly... that's the only consolation tho

SWI days 12, 13, 16, 17, 18 here, LH surge on day 16. So let the 2WOOFLing begin. May this be the begin of a massive besh-up-diffment for summer!

And ending on a big fat OMG! hugs again for Alice. Nekkid, obviously.

Casserole · 25/05/2010 13:58

Gah, will I ever manage to get everything into one post? Scorpydoo am really pleased about your results, and Pencil yours too.

Tis a good day in the BESH den and I'm not letting anyone tell me otherwise

iggypiggy · 25/05/2010 14:23

Hello BESHlets - just dropping in for a massive nipple tweak and YAY for ALICE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Am stripping off for my nekkid dance now!!!

Am so so so pleased

Squeezes for scropeface - but obv not too fucking tight

waves to ginlet streme muse and to all the other lovely BESHies...

Scorpette · 25/05/2010 14:45

Thanks GeneWilder, I really am being a vewwy, vewwy brave soldier at the mo I have 2 flavours of Booja Booja so they will be keeping me going. Was v last night that I vommed not long after stuffing myself with it. My delicious, EXPENSIVE ice-cream, wasted!

Is amusing to see that all the lilywhite lovelies heart the same foundation I spend all my spare cash on top qual cosmetics and skincare (you need to once you're past 30!) We should get paid for BESH endorsements!

BTW, can anyone recommend a good facial sunblock? Have never found one that doesn't make me look greased up like a turkey or bring me out in spots (both moisturiser and foundation have spf 15, however).

I'm not very exciting today, sorry.

ginhag · 25/05/2010 14:57

Shouldn't be posting as am working like a menkul crazy bastid. And stinking of gin

BUT aliceinchains WOOOO! Aces! Especially the fact that you poas'd last night after the beshup!!!!!!!!

Last night was utterly great. My spare brother says we are all very potty mouthed.

And scorps have a cuddle my brave ickle soldier. An so glad you got good news.

cass sorry bout ministew. Next time hopefully you'll make it.

Lots more to say but can't as I have lots of Being Important to do.

By the way camcam I will absolutely be drinking again tonight. DHB innit.

I have met 7,yes 7 beshies now. Why no baybee in my tum tum?

PerfectDromedary · 25/05/2010 15:06

Gin It's clearly your turn next, on that basis.

I could probably manage a small drinky now. Bread has helped.

And I reek of booze, too. It's coming out of every pore.

Bessie123 · 25/05/2010 15:08

You didn't drink that much really, just an ickle bit of wine. Or did you keep going after those gin and tonics arrived?

PerfectDromedary · 25/05/2010 15:11

3 g&ts, I think. Staggered in at 1.30 am.

Bessie123 · 25/05/2010 15:13

Oh, glad I didn't keep waiting then. I was home by 11.15 [good girl]

Did you really get up at 5 Camel?

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 25/05/2010 15:15

SoldierScorps I use Clarins Day Protection factor 40 - it's very light and unlike everythign else I've tried doesn't render me spotty within seconds. Despite the salesgirl's concerns, I used this in Thailand for 2 weeks and came back with only the merest hint of an extra freckle despite cowering under parasols sunbathing the whole time. A bit pricey but it lasts (eg bought two for th e2 weeks, reapplying frequently, and the first one is still going strong).
