monkeybumsmum · 02/06/2010 17:59

re musical EDD's Cupcake! What are the chances of that happening! I'm thinking maybe babycakes will be a chilled out dude boy, or yes, perhaps a drama queen We shall find out soon, that's for sure!

Justshaggy Thanks for thinking of me and coming over to this thread, I'm really glad you have I felt a bit bad about not going back onto the CBFM thread, but the month we conceived I hadn't been using it, so I felt a bit of a fraud! I did lurk for a while though, when I felt up to it. re your loo brush friend, I know how she feels!
Re IVF, could you go and get a second opinion privately? I hope you don't get 6 months down the line, but if you do it would be good to know if there's anything they could try first? With my fertility investigations they said we could start on Clomid as it would give a higher chance of successful implantation if more than one egg was released. Our next step would have been IVF, and still might be if they can check the embryo for chromosomal problems before transfer.
It's very interesting reading what you said about your pregnancy symptoms - I too get very panicky when pregnant, and one of my first symptoms is being very jumpy if there are any loud noises. There was a thread about that sort of thing a while back, will see if I can find it for you. I think it's to do with the hormones, and it really put my mind at rest to know it wasn't just me who felt like that. Sounds like you had it pretty badly though, which must've been horrible

Have had a lovely text from the blissed out 4ever today, she's says she's in pain with stitches, v run down, but nothing matters! Sounds like she's on cloud nine and I don't blame her! Also, there's a message for Barbie - 'pls tell barbie i don't have her no in my pho & not ignoring her, or any lovely emmsys! Feel v bad not posted or replied to peeps!' Barbie I shall forward pics to you...

Blue Well done little Ben for sleeping so well last night! Long may it continue Also, great news about your friends lo, they must be so incredibly relieved to have him home.
Am doing okay thanks, and yes, am feeling a bit more like 'me' again. Am doing normal things like dancing round the kitchen and being silly again so I must be doing okay mustn't I I must say that work is hard, but am managing to leave it there iykwim. Just have to get through each day without crying too much, and then once I get home I'm okay.
Really hope you manage to get more sleep each night, you must be exhausted! How are your boys doing?

LBM Lovely to read about you having your three dc's on your own, I have this image of you as being completely organised and in control. I did smile when you said the other day that you were getting someone to do your weeding for you I did wonder if they'd come over here and do ours please

VJay Sorry to hear about your dog, you must be v worried Please let us know how he gets on. Are you getting him back today?

Louey Sounds like you're having fun with your twins You must be run off your feet! Hope this month has worked, even though you think it hasn't, but if not then Plan Temptress sounds like a fab idea. Speaking of which, I bought some new underwear y'day Don't dare show dh yet, but when things are feeling a bit better I might be tempted to get them out!

That reminds me - VJay what is vejazzling (think I've got it a bit wrong there but am sure you'll know what I mean )

Louey you can look for me if you want on FB - am C l a i r C o a t e s and there's a pic of me and my ds as my profile pic...

Better go - ds is standing on my feet asking why why why why why why why why. Answers on a postcard please

monkeybumsmum · 02/06/2010 18:06

x posts Vjay Poor dog Hope he's okay. Try not to feel bad about not having seen it sooner, you've got so much on your plate... Our dogs are such tough nuts that we don't know there's anything wrong unless they're losing blood from somewhere. They just don't show pain! I went to get one of them vaccinated a couple of weeks ago only to discover that she had a temperature and was producing milk - she's had a phantom pregnancy. I felt awful for not having realised earlier
What sort of dog have you got? We have two mad boxers (pic on profile)

ThePFJ · 02/06/2010 18:14

Hi everyone,

Just got back after a great day out with Thomas the Tank, and there on the doormat are the 2 first response (6 days before your period is missed) tests.

I immediately and excitedly took one. Surely if I am pregnant these super sensitive tests can pick up on it by now.... right?

But nothing. Not a ghost of a line.

Still have all the symptoms. Boobs ache/darkened and all that jazz etc etc. My last period was the 2nd of May and I have a 28 day cycle which means I missed my period this Sunday just gone.

So I am worried this is a pg gone wrong. I don't think calling doctors or hospitals at this point is going to do any good is it? Because if it has gone wrong and my hcg levels are really low then there is NOTHING they can do about it right?
And if I have simply just missed my period and fooled my body into being stupid I don't want the shame of seeing anyone about it really. I'd feel too bad.

The other side of me (after checking the expiry on the tests - 2012.. ah well) thinks wait until Sunday and test again. It could be that simple and everything is ok?? Even with a 1st response.

I need to chill and eat something. Felt sick all day, feel dehydrated in the sun....

Does anyone have a hopeful story to cheer me up please?

Love xxx

ThePFJ · 02/06/2010 18:45

Cupcake - have a cry on my shoulder and then eat these delicious brownies I made yesterday.
Om nomnomnom..... hugs for youxxxx

ThePFJ · 02/06/2010 18:53

monkeysbum - Re: loud noises. Today when thomas's whistle peeped loudly for the first time I nearly weed all over the platform there and then. I was so embarrassed. Jack just laughed....

cupcakefairy · 02/06/2010 18:55

Aw I'm sory for the BFN pfj but I would say it's not a 'pregnancy gone wrong' cos if it was then the test would come up positive, especially those sensitive ones. I would agree with waiting a few days and taking the other one, with first morning urine. (and trying not to go out of your mind in the process)

Vjay your poor dog! 26 teeth how many does that leave??

OP posts:
cupcakefairy · 02/06/2010 18:56

Mmm brownies thanks!

OP posts:
ThePFJ · 02/06/2010 18:59

So its highly likely with the 1st response being what they are, that I am not pregnant and my body is playing a most sickening trick on me. You cant beat science can you? Well this sucks. I need a drink.

Thanks for your honesty cupcake. More hugs. xxx

ThePFJ · 02/06/2010 19:11

Maybe I should turn my back on good science, and become a witch and rely on spells and tarot cards from now on!! Mwahhhhahahahaha....

Argh. I am far too logical for that. I don't know what else to think. I am currently concentrating on walling up my emotions until Sunday so I don't become Little Miss Blotchy Face for a week (one good cry ruins my skin for ages and it scabs up sometimes..)plus I don't want to get all wound up over this for nothing. But I may end up getting stressed and tied up inside if I don't express how I feel. I am so not as strong as I need to be. I can't be 'wet tissue woman' over this. I can't...

crapcrapcrapcrapcrappitycrapcrap bugger.

justshaggy · 02/06/2010 19:19

PFJ In my last PG I got a steady stream of BFNs until the faintest faintest BFP on the day AF was due (VERY faint late in the evening after BFNs all day). Bloods produced a 'borderline' result a few days after that - which totally freaked me out. Had to do a second blood test which eventually confirmed it properly - so that would be some time after AF should have started. Sadly... my PG did fail - but I think only after the second bloodtest test because HCG must have still been rising prior to then IYSWIM. If I were you I'd ask for a blood test at the epu .... or ... wait a few more days if you can stand it. Don't totally discount your other symptoms either ... Do you chart? Because if you did you might be able to tell more by what your temps did over next few days? This is the ONLY reason I decided to chart. Sorry you're dealing with this suspense. Horrid, isn't it.

cupcake I chart, have a CBFM, drink grapefruit juice, bought Robitussin, know the positions, have pre-seed in bedside drawer and just bought Instead softcups (which are huge incidentally.... not sure I'm brave enough to try squeeze a flying saucer up me ... ). So I am truely certifiable - or, as I like to think - organised. Am I super-qualified for the greenhouse, or do I need a little pruning? Hope the bouncing is doing the thing for you!

monkeys Loud noises made me totally flip out. I was really in a very very bad way - couldn't grasp things off the kitchen shelf because my hand was shaking so bad, etc. Had to go down the stairs on my bum because my legs wouldn't carry my weight properly. Not myself at all. Apparently there is a possiblity that rising HCG levels could stimulate my thyroid too much and do that (but its a very very rare condition). I'd need to be tested in PG for that so at the moment the jury is still out on this one.

vjay Not sure if I've got the spelling right but Seraquin (something like that) = glucosamine tablets for dogs and cats. I've got my sweet tabbygirl on it because she used to be obese and I think her joints have been affected. Apparently its very good. My mum swears by the human version for her joints.

keep bouncing cupcake

littlebellsmum · 02/06/2010 19:25

Cupcake trust me - if you end up on the labour ward rather than the mlu, it really isn't the end of the world once babba is here ime. Remember, my move from MLU to c-section - in the grand scheme of things is a minor disapointment rather than anything elses, now that J is here. I like the idea of musical due dates. Friday it is for you then - it would be the same as my lovely nieces birthday

PFJ Sorry - but as we always say, it isn't all over untill TEW arrives!

MrsKate · 02/06/2010 19:27

Really hope this thread proves lucky for you!

Louey - lovely to hear from you . Your DT's are keeping you on your toes - loving them cuddled up in the sae bed - awww. Hope the novelty wears off soon and they are out like a light from this week onwards. Loads of us are on facebook - I'm j a n i n e m c g r e g o r and photo is of me and DS's.

cupcake - you are actually nearing my DS1's birthday!! Its a lovely time of year to have a baby... Keep bouncing, keep lunging, keep walking. Praying you get a wee comfy bed in your MLU xx

Monkey - you are sounding better but know you willhave some fays when you just want to scream and wail. REally admire your stoicism and keeping on keeping on. We never foget eh? Just learn to accept and moe on with a slightly heavier heart xx

PFJ - - what a head Feck... Have you tried clearblue digital?

Vjay - PMSL at cupcake's question as to how many teeth your dog has! Seriously wee lamb. Hope he recovers and isn't too traumatised by his lack of nashers.

Kate - phew! Glad to hear Jack is better

LBM - how's curled up babyJ tonight?

Caught up on last 3 episodes of Glee this week - loving it!!! Songs have been excellent especially 'Jessie's Girl' one of my all time faves and 'Total Eclipse of the heart' - fabulous .

cupcakefairy · 02/06/2010 20:23

PFJ really sorry, didn't mean my post to sound insensitive at all; I just meant not to worry about ectopic and things like that as that would more likely show a positive test.

sorry Vjay if I sounded insensitive about the dog too! Just didn't realise dogs had so many teeth!

lbm thanks; I have been thinking of loads of you girls who didn't get the births you wanted either and I know I need to just man up and get over it cos my little one will be worth it

blue I've enjoyed the last couple of Glee episodes a lot more...it's improved a bit! But then I do love Idina Menzel so was a treat to hear her singing Poker Face

justshaggy yay to charting and all the rest of it! you're definitely allowed in the greenhouse!

ThePFJ · 02/06/2010 21:13

No no cupcake, you weren't insensitive at all... please you were just what I knew I needed to hear. I know tis not over til the fat lady sings... or aunt flo arrives at least... I feel a bit better now. My head hurts, I think its heatstroke from today. I WILL wait until Sunday morning until I test again (convinces self)and I am still a little hopeful for a good result.

Anyways, we have the bbc news on right now and the Cumbria deaths are really putting life into perspective right now! I am shocked that such a thing can still happen these days. So many families must be in complete shock tonight. Wow.

Vjay, I WILL join you in that drink. Lets make it a big one and try to forget all our troubles!

I shall try to enjoy the rest of Britain's Got Talent now and relax...

And he said 'It's a baby and you know it... it's just shy'

loueytbg · 03/06/2010 07:26

Morning - just checking to see if babycupcake has decided to make an entrance yet. Back later.

ThePFJ · 03/06/2010 09:10

Morning everyone,

After a good sleep last night, following a nice tipple of brandy with Vjay, I have made a plan of action.

I used my last 1st response pg test this morning first thing, got a negative as I expected, and then took all the tests off the sill and binned them. The bins went out this morning so there is no dredging them up again later!

I feel sick again this morning and I am having really bad hot flashes.. and I started to think about my mother and all the troubles she had in her mid thirties with her water works and her woman bits, and have decided to make a doc appointment next week to discuss this, and if my symptoms have abated to talk about clomid and conception on one tube.

I am now focusing my frustration into trying to get my body to release my period so I can get back to trying.

I suppose I am right in thinking I will not ovulate until it comes along?

I don't think waiting around and testing again on Sunday is going to do me any good. This morning I took my hayfever medicines and stopped taking my pregnacare vitamins.

I am utterly peed off at myself at managing to fool myself into thinking I was pg, obviously my subconcious thinks this is hilarious. But also I want to talk to my mother today about what her medical history actually is so I can be prepared when I go to the doctors in case my body has decided to run riot.

Ok thats my plan/thoughts for today. I think this is the sensible course of action now.
Comments appreciated.
Am so gutted though. I really thought I was pg.

Well love to everyone,

Blue Much sympathy for you, it certainly does pour. It's like three buses coming all at once and they hit you all square in the eyes. You sound strong, and I hope your sister gets better soon.

Cupcake Any babies yet?

iggypiggy · 03/06/2010 09:35

pfj so sorry to hear that I think a doctors appointment sounds like a good plan. x

vjay poor doggie! My parent's ancient collie has a heart mumur tho, and is ok.. Also she has arthritis (and very few teeth!) - but she sees a dog chiropractor that helps her walking amazingly and she is on a supplement called Magnacare - which also works. Plus she has a bioflow collar.

My lab is on Synoquin - which is v. similar to Seraquin - would recommend them as well! Also New Zealand Green Lipped Mussel supplement is supposed to be excellent - plus the usual Glucosamine and Chondriotin (this is all in the magnacare, synoquin and seraquin).

cupcake fingers crossed that somethign is happening for you!

moon so sorry you having a bad time x
