Hi everyone: I've been lurking on this thread for months now after someone posted somewhere else about how amazing and supportive it was. It does seem very close-knit and warm and friendly, and I've been bouyed up from the sidelines. But wanted to dip my toe in and ask cupcake if she has ever visited the Spinning Babies website? I've never had a child (yearning for one) so have never been in your shoes cupcake. But I saw this referenced somewhere on Mumsnet and bookmarked it on the off-chance thinking maybe, maybe, I might need it one day. So sorry you're going through this cupcake; must be so hard.... x

Had one of those days today where I seemed to be chasing my tail, going round in circle and not getting anything done. I went food shopping today for the first time in ages, and I am going back to deliveries next week, far too much like hard work, plus all the rude grumpy people, and I over spent!!!!

Hi MLS No, not ttc yet - bit worried as no AF almost 8 weeks later... Going to ring doctors tomorrow as have also got thrush that i can't get rid off (sorry if tmi ). Something's not right Also got appt in two weeks with an IVF consultant to see if we can go down that route - they might be able to check for chromosomal abnormalities that way, but we shall see.

Monkey snap with the thrush . Have you tried drinking Actimel? I'm sure it's taken the edge off mine but today my gp put me on some really strong antibiotics that I've never had before & he said that they will kill off all the good bacteria as well as the bad so I guess it's back to square 1 for me. As for IVF I have two good friends who've had opposite results. One has a ds the same age as my dd & she is currently pregnant & due three weeks - both pregnancies were IVF & both were first attempts. My other friend has had more mc's than me, has a dd the same age as mine & had a failed IVF attempt a couple of months ago. She said it's the most stressful thing she's ever been through. She started having anxiety attacks, her hair was falling out, she had the constant shakes & she wasn't sleeping. They didn't do any kind of scan first though & she has since found out that she had endometriosis & has now had that zapped. Have you & your dh had any kind of chromosone testing done?

Will go and drink one now MLS, thanks for that advice! I feel sick at the thought of going through IVF, and what it does to your body, but if it gives us a better chance then I'll do it. We've had all the chromosome testing done, and everything's normal. They don't have a clue why it keeps going wrong.
Do they think the endometriosis caused your friend to mc? Are they going to try again? I really hope it works out for them. I had my endo zapped last year, and with having been pg it shouldn't have got any worse so am quite hopeful that that shouldn't interfere yet. I just wish someone out there was able to tell us what to do, and have it work

Gracie Let me know how you get on with that cup and can you do a link please. I've ben using the medela bottles and managed to get DD2 to take an ounce (that's all i'm aiming for) twice yesterday and three times today. She'll only take it if I walk about and if I give her it and it takes ages. It is progress but painfully slow. I can't imagine her ever gulping down 4 or 5 ounce

MLS Right Mrs, you've been ill too long. You need to remember that you ARE a precious vessel and slooow down until you're properly well. I will come ddown and sort you out! BTW what date do you go on hol. Are you away for your birthday?

4ever Hope you got the iron and stitches sorted out. Please take it easy and remember your body is still in shock. Hope the feeding is going well. Don't forget to introduce a bottle as soon as your milk is established. I can't believe starting at 3 weeks was too late for me.

X-post Monkey Just wanted to send you a huge hug. It's so unfair that it's this hard for you. Hope you get a BFP without having to really try IYKWIM.

Neeko we go away on the 1st to the 15th so yay I'm away for my birthday! Do you go away just after your birthday? Dh's nephew was complaining on Facebook that The Scheme's not on tonght, I told him that I watched it last week because of you & I couldn't understand what the hell any of them were saying!!

Monkey my friends consultant did say it could well have been the endo that caused the mc. It's a shame she didn't know about it before having the IVF. Acupuncture actually strengthens your reproductive system & helps to encourage your eggs to be 'good' eggs. The one thing I would say though is that you have to find the right practitioner. One who specialises in fertility & don't be fooled into thinking that you have to find a Chinese one. As Neeko says maybe you'll get a bfp without really trying & without having to go through IVF.

MLS We go away on the 6th which is out anniversary. The scheme's not on os someone is up in court! DD2 calling - gotta go.

Neeko I am NOT a patient person. I dont have a car at the moment though and I live in this tiny little village and I can not be arsed to take the bus all the way to tesco to see if they do first response... so I ordered from ebay on Monday. I hope it comes tommorrow, but Weds is also our trip to take little Jack to see a real live Thomas the Tank engine, we are leaving at 10am, before the postman, and I have just realised I might miss my parcels and ARGH I may have to get a re-delivery and wait even longer... ERGH. I am keeping myself calm by thinking about HOW EXCITED Jack will be. Am taking the video camera and everything so I should catch some cute pics.

The tests on the window sill still only look suspicious if I squint, but it could be a shadow...

BUT... STILL NO PERIOD
So I must be have to be must be please please can I be Pregnant. Rrrrrriiiight???
