Hope things start to happen very soon, in fact tomorrow morning at 11.10 would be good, thanks I shall keep checking in for news over the next couple of days as much as I can!

MrsKate, not sure about the bleeding, sorry. Maybe you should go and see the doctor? JD is just gorgeous

cupcake Thanks for the offer of being my cleaning fairy, shame I can't take you up on it Well done for managing the walk. I didn't know that about the full moon thing

blue hope you're feeling better and are looking forward to your night out! You must feel so much better with your Ds getting up once now instead of 3 times.

iggy there will be a sudden rush on mini milk buying now by Gracie !

mrsKate I think it would be worth just getting checked at the doctors too. Beautiful pics.

monkey just been nosy looked at at your photos too, your DS is gorgeous. How long are you back in the UK for?

Hello to LBM and her cardi eating baby

4ever I hope you are recovering well and are out of hospital soon, so you can take your DD home and impress her with her lovely bedroom that you so lovingly prepared.

I have woken up with a bad headache, which doesn't mix well with a DS who is being loud chatty. Cbeebies is in order I think.

VJay · 28/05/2010 09:34

cupcakefairy · 28/05/2010 11:39

No I'm here Curly

Looks like monkey is out of the sweepstake too... your go next!

So frustrated with my body and with everything...cried all over dh again before he went to work (I remember mermaid saying you could recognise an Emmsy hubby by his soaking wet shoulders... how very true that is!) I'm hoping these horrormones are a good sign (either that or baby will realise it has a crazy mum and hide away for longer...)

Sorry, I know I'm being such an annoying moaner and I'm so blessed to be having this baby...just want it to happen!

Anyway, hi everyone...happy Friday. Maybe I'll go to Tesco for mini milks. And bake some more things.

OP posts:
VJay · 28/05/2010 11:52

Hi cupcake you are not an annoying moaner, you are an over due pregnant lovely lady full of raging hormones , I do really feel for you . Get yourself down to Tesco and get some minimilks. Have you noticed we like mini food, be it mini eggs or mini milks, what else is there?

iggypiggy · 28/05/2010 12:05

mini baby bel?

close your ears LBM

cupcakefairy · 28/05/2010 12:20

Thanks Vjay...how on EARTH did you do this for 9 more days than I have with your ds1

Someone on the May thread mentioned another way of calculating due dates called Nichols Rule which puts me at 30th May...so that has made me feel a tiny bit better.

We could pretend to be posh with mini quiches and mini cheesecakes (but where's the fun in that; I want a whole cheesecake!)

iggypiggy · 28/05/2010 12:28

littlebellsmum · 28/05/2010 14:24

hiya cupcake - on the mini food stuff, at work they did a baby shower for me and it was all mini foor - mini brownies, mini chupa chups, babybells, little sausgae rolls.

Can I vote for mini magnums over the mini milks - especially the lidl ones with nuts on them - yummuy!

Got to go - cardi eatling baby is gving daddy one of her " special" kisses! means she wants more food...

cupcakefairy · 28/05/2010 16:16

Aw LBM that sounds lovely I didn't get a baby shower!

I have just managed to burn a batch of peanut butter cookies; domestic goddess I ain't! And Tesco didn't even have mini milks...pah! Bought chocolate instead.

Hi barbie hope you're enjoying having your Mum over.

My MIL has just text me to say (in not quite so many words) that I should bed her son to get this baby out. Just not an appropriate thing to do is it?

OP posts:
iggypiggy · 28/05/2010 16:27

ha ha cupcake that is v. funny! You should tell her you've already tried that

Is there anything you haven't tried? Homeopathy or Acupuncture?!

cupcakefairy · 28/05/2010 16:43

I know, what does she expect me to reply?? 'actually we've been going at it every night this week and it hasn't worked' just wrong.

No haven't tried any reflexology/homeopathy type stuff. Hopeful for the sweep tomorrow but we'll see...

OP posts:
iggypiggy · 28/05/2010 16:51

v. v. wrong!

Good luck for sweep tomorrow xx

VJay · 28/05/2010 16:57

OMG cupcake I can't believe you mil texted that and . Good luck for the sweep tomorrow.

lbm like your baby shower with all themini food, what a good idea

MrsKate · 28/05/2010 18:42

ha ha cupcake im [shocked] at your mil . good luck for tomorrow xxxx

littlebellsmum · 28/05/2010 19:00

Cupcake - really nothing to be jealous about. The baby shower consisted of me driving into work after I had finished ( takes about an hour each way) and then there was mini food and a quiz on babies that lasted about 20 minutes ..... But as I did get some vouchers from work, I wasn't upset but wish I hadn't bothered to go in !

I can't believe that both your mum amd mil have been suggesting sex - suppose that they think it's ok as you are pregnant, after all that is what got you into this position in the first place!

Hope the sweep works - we need to meet our LittleCupcake

MummyLovesSadie · 28/05/2010 19:02

Oh Cupcake that is so funny, I bet your MIL is an absolute hoot at parties! I had a sweep when I was in hospital in labour with dd. I was 1cm dilated & the sweep immediately made me 3cm. If you are absolutely adamant that you don't want to be induced you should definitely look into alternative therapies (I'd recommend acupuncture, but then I would wouldn't I ) for after the bank holiday.

Today I had scan number 348 (feels like it), it was my normal 20 week scan at my local hospital. Very uneventful as it was much less detailed then the one I had on Monday. One thing that has really pissed me off is that my maternity notes have gone missing . They are definitely at Kings College as I'm sure they did not give them back to me on Monday. I called them & they were really unhelpful saying "I can't see them anywhere so they are not here".
