Found you all . Thanks for starting this cupcake such a special thread too with two more Emmsy's graduates waiuting in the wings
Moon - you do give advice to us all, whether it be a kind word here or a nudge of encouragement there. and even if you didn't this thread is for us all whatever stage we're at. Its just beyond unfair that you are still waiting for your lo and no words I can say will lessen that ache but please don't ever feel you can't/shouldn't post here OK? Let me know what night/week you feel up to it and we can devote a whole evening to linking wedding stuff for you?
[monkey] - how did it go today? I'm sure you knew exactly what to do and say when the time came. Big hug brace lady x
Talking of which, mermaid - bit positive thought stream for you for tomorrow, I salute you in getting through these last two weeks. BTW the veg were ceremonially planted yesterday so I have courgettes, strawb, the two pathetic tomato shoots that flourised on my kitchen sill, rasberry bush and potatoes going in once they 'chit' (gardening term there ).
4ever - I didn't get SPD cramps as such just awful awful pain whenever I moved. It will go in a flash trust me but totally know how fed up and sore and scunnered you are. 18 days and counting - not long!!!!!!
Iggy - don't beat yourself up, its only natural and in fact sensible to be shit scared of what is coming. Yes its bloody hard but the love you have for the little person you made is out of this world .
curly - loooooooove the photos!!! . Thanks so much for sharing and I always had you as a brunette . Grace is just perfection x
barbie lol at leggings on shoulder and bogies on boobs! I've discovered crusty ones in all sorts of strange places too - yeuch! I can cope with poos and vomit but bogies give me the boak big time.
Gracie - sorry to herer TEW has returned but on the plus side maybe your sex drive will be along behind it?! I'm still waiting on AF to come back and still have no sex drive at all (poor DH) so it has its pluses and minuses...
Vjay - LOL at breeding them big - must be all that lovely Scottish air - well for Ajay anyway! Glad you had a good session with your Doc. The books I read were "A Road Less Travelled" by M Scott Peck, "The Celestine Prophecy" can't remember who by "Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway" can't remember who by. The first one was fantastic, just reminded you that life is hard but how to get the most out of it and how to be true and honest to yourself etc. etc.
QA - think you got it spot on with PNH occuring more in women who have had to fight to have babies in first place. I remember Brooke Sheild's book "When the rain came down" which journeyed her PND which she had after years of trying for a family and a traumatic birth. Its as if we don't feel we have a right to complain when so many weeks and months have been us daring not to hope for onse second that we might get a baby in our arms at the end of it all. I sometme still lurk on the Dec 09 post-natal and you should read the ups and downs on there especially at the v. hard early weeks. Some of the girls were all for throwing the baby out with the bath water!!
MLS - loving that photos of you and Neeks and the girls . BTW my house is nice and toasty . Welcome to big pantsville too . When is your next appointment again? Oh and how was the new car on the trip? Did your DH give you a shot ?
Neeko - lovely to txt talk the other day and bet your drawers are looking grand and filled with H's clothes - in age order of course
LBM - r-e-l-a-x!!! Wlcome to maternity leave. Hope your veg plot thrives too
Louey - how are things going with your DS1 and his big boy pants?
Back at the feeding support group this morning and Hv commented how happy and contended Ben was . He was all gurgles and rolling over. I think support groups like this are great in reminding you how far you have come i.e. he was 9 weeks when we first went and I was frazzled, B was colicky the whole nine yards...
He is stil up twice during the night but not even considering controlled crying until I am 100% sure it is not hunger that's wakening him. He also took 2oz of EMB this morning, been trying a new tact of giving him bottle to play with now he loves putting things in his mouth and he took it in betwen feeding from me so progress - of sorts.
Right enough rambling, love to all xx
