Haha Barbie that's funny, sick but funny! My guess is that she'd get stuck in the chair & not be able to get up again so needs dh there to haul her out!

barbie1 · 06/05/2010 09:04

hA HA!

Another funny thing happened to me yesterday why always me..

My dress (another maxi one... sorry cant reach other bracket with my one hand!...back to the story....my dress got caught in the wheels of my shopping trolley so i couldnt move in the middle of the aisle, even when people asked me too! dd was in my arms screaming and dh was in another aisle. just had to stand there ing putting up with comments about me being rude by not moving until dh came and helped me.

i think i shall have to stop wearing maxi dresses

littlebellsmum · 06/05/2010 09:50

Oh mermaid thats just crap. Hold tight onto that sparkly stick and your dds - he is a little gem isn't he?

And as for the rest of you - how is a girl supposed to keep up, the thread has only be going for 1.5 days and there is 103 messages on it

Having said that, it's not like I have anything better to do with my time is it

Although, I have been pretty busy - baby stuff is now sorted, Babybelle will have clothes to wear. Space in spare room is made and I have come on all neeko like and sorted all the too big clothes into boxes by size with labels on for storage in the loft for when needed I also ( ta da) have a fully packed hospital bag ( gold stars for me). Although a friend did say yesterday that I should get a bag packed for the dc's in case we need to do a night flite with all the daft amount of stuff school seems to need!

Been to the hairdressers, beauty place tomorrow ( lashes and toes - can't reach my toes and they are really not nice at the mo!). Also done my last bits of shopping and nearly got kids something to wear for "international day" at school tomorrow.

So, am sat drinking my raspberry leaf tea, eating iron tabs and from the weekend will just be waiting for Babybelle to let us know when she's ready to arrive!

Now, a brief catch up ( and it will have to be brief as I'm due at a friends in 20 minutes and need to have a shower!)

BG good to see you back and moon sorry this isn;t your month but it will be soon

barbie You are the best - as you say, howcome all these things happen to you! You have the best stories - your DD is just gorgeous but I'm not surprised looking at her parents - she have some good genes!

Cupcake How chilled are you, my fat friend! I've not had the fat comments but am getting a bit sick of not being able to bend over and that I have to walk as slow as a very, very old person! I went into town yesterday to do a quick bit of shopping and needed a nap after, which is rubbish
And talking of another lady in v big pants 4ever, don't be too hard on yourself lovely. Everyone knows you are so pleased to be pregnant but it doens't make the pain you are in any less bad. The amount of scares you have had with this pregnancy would make anyone curl up in a ball and with a lack of sleep on top. You're actually doing really well and in less than 3 weeks, should be a mummy at last... And you would be proud of me - I actually watched half a film the other day when the DC's were at school and let my childminder pick them up and give them tea...

I will be back later to catch up with everyone else - DH thinks that I am renewing the car and house insurance that are due this month. He doesn't need to know that I've just about done that.....

VJay · 06/05/2010 10:18

Morning,
mermaid hope all goes well today, well it will cos you've got your sparkly stick. Your ds is so sweet

barbie can't believe what you said about 4ever and her DH, did make me snort very loudly

I'll be back later, Ajay is finally asleep, I've been up with him since 4:30, and I'm bloomin shattered, can't wait for this tooth to pop through zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

4everhopeful · 06/05/2010 10:34

Quick one from me, Mermaid these lovely ladies have all reiterated what i already said about erpc & in a few hours u will be home & we will hand feed u choc & stroke ur hair... U have been amazingly brave as always (but u dont have to be here) i also melted at ur dddds! .....Barbie i laughed out loud at ur post u crazy lady, i love ya! Yes it was cos DH needed to carry box upstairs & put it together! There was no 'bitty' moments! Eeuw! Tho i must confess i got the cuddly piglet & did a feeding demo with that! Love the chair but the 'new' smell is a bit like sick so have been spraying it with perfume! Im feeling slightly able bodied so am gonna venture to hairdressers after all, armed with cushion, notes & militant attitude that they must be quick, & undertand i may need lots of breaks! As i shall be dressed for 1st time all week will also be picking up last of new daddy & 5th anniversary gifts & card for DH, (inc obligatory cigar!) Then meeting him after work to pick up pram, fit car seat in car, & take rest to mums! Then nandos & voting, then i stay in my undressed state til back up hosp on mon for final ante natal class, final scan on tues (gotta be no 28 min! Most observed baby ever!) Then final cons apt on thurs! ....Big wave & well done to preg buddy LBM for finally packing that bag & gettin all moneeko on us! Lotsa love to the rest of u, am gonna start the slow process of getting ready! X x x x x

bluesatinsash · 06/05/2010 11:27

Quickie to say we're all here waiting on your return mermaid and hope its all over quickly and you don't get bumped down the list. Your DS is so like his mummy - a wee super star x

TBH I felt relieved after my ERPC. Compared to natural mc its quick and I had minimal bleeding which helped me cope emotionally..

4ever and LBM - getting soooo excited for you two and our lovely cupcake too . 4ever - you will be so "just stepped out of a salon" later today I'm .

barbie - keep wearing those maxi dresses - that's an order

Back later x

cupcakefairy · 06/05/2010 11:45

I snorted at barbie's comment on 4ever and Mr4ever too you are classic Barbie

mermaid have another virtual sparkly stick from me...I have an image of you baton twirling with them all now so glad you have your holiday to look forward to after all this.

Hi LBM I'm so over the not being able to bend over thing too! And I need naps as well...friend who's due couple of days before me was so surprised at how tired I get, made me feel like an old lady! She has the tiniest little peach of a bump though

I have just booked a bikini wax and pedicure for a week today...which probably means lo will arrive before that now but hopefully it will have the courtesy to wait until the day after so I can be all fresh and lovely-toed
Also told by two more people yesterday that it's a boy... this poor baby if it turns out to be a girl!!

my heart goes out to mermaid xxxxxx

need to catch up

JD has his jabs tomorrow and he now weighs 10lb 4oz what a fatty xxxx

BlueMoon1981 · 06/05/2010 19:26

mermaid i have been thinking about you, hope you are as ok as you can be, we are having a feast in the greenhouse, come and join us when you are ready xx

QuestionsAgain · 06/05/2010 19:48

Right, moon as we are huddled in the greenhouse I have had time to research your flowers. I think I remember you saying you wanted blue, so will start with that, though blue is a difficult colour in the world of flowers, so let me know if I am allowed to go off plan and look at other colours! Here are a few ideas to start with:

blue table centres

simple cream bouquet to try without blue!

subtle blue bouquet

this would smell gorgeous

for small bridesmaids

simple centrepiece you could do yourself

perhaps the rest of us could have a handbag like this!

QuestionsAgain · 06/05/2010 20:01

Obviously the little baskets are not blue, but thought the idea was cute and could easily change the colours and I wondered if the cream bouquet may be 'blued' up by adding blue beads on wire placed through the flowers.

Do you prefer simple and contemporary or more traditional and flamboyant? Let me know what you think to these as a starting point so i can get a feel for the ones you love/hate.

Oh I so would love to do this for a job, like JLo in 'The wedding planner'

MummyLovesSadie · 06/05/2010 20:45

Oh QA I'm loving the hydrangea centrepiece. I bought vases just like that for my wedding tables. Why have you changed your name btw?

Moon I didn't say the other day but please don't go anywhere. I know that's rich coming from the queen of 'I need a break from mn' but we'd all miss you. I know how soul-destroying having month after month of not being pregnant is but nobody in rl would understand your frustrations like we do. Right, about that pre-seed.... ! I'm going to find a piccie of me in my wedding dress so you can see if it's the kind of thing you have in mind.

My dd said something really funny yesterday, she had her finger shoved up her nose as usual & when I asked her what she was doing she said "Getting a bogey from the bogey bee-hive"! It's her first night in a big bed tonight & I'm so pleased she has actually gone straight to sleep & it's not even occurred to her that she can simply climb out of bed!

Right off to look at my wedding pics now...

BlueMoon1981 · 06/05/2010 20:45

awww qa that is very lovely of you as are the rest of you blue and 4ever (thanks for sparkly table decs the other day)and anyone else who said i needed a wedding evening to cheer me up, thank you

the wedding plans are a little on hold at the mo due to other things going on, but a girl can look hey, and i loooove the little pink bridesmaids bouquets, and the handbags for the emmsys girls too is it wrong though that i am not that excited about planning it, i just want to do it? of course i want a pretty dress and lovely flowers and a good ole knees up, but i am not really that into the finer details of it all, i just wanna marry my lovely df.

still thinking about lovely mermaid a big bear hug in your direction.

BlueMoon1981 · 06/05/2010 20:48

x post mls loving your dd stories

MummyLovesSadie · 06/05/2010 21:11

Right two wedding pics on my profile. No Moon you are not wrong for not wanting to plan anything - just impatient!

Yes Blue we were at the safari park! Oh & the car was fab on the trip, I can't believe we left Scotland at 8.20 in the morning & were back home by 4pm. You have made me feel extremely lazy with your tales of planting your fruit & veg, I've not planted a single thing yet

Cupcake I definitely think that the bigger the bump the more dilapidated you feel & the less you are able to do. I'm pleased that so far I've only put on 7lb but I'm sure at least a couple of them are due eating nothing but rubbish for a week in Scotland!

Mermaid hope you are doing as well as possible & that you are being looked after.

BlueMoon1981 · 06/05/2010 21:16

oh mls how beautiful you look its a really lovely dress, am i remembering right that you made it yourself, or am i living in my own world again and making things up i like the floatiness of it, that could maybe conceal a bump

littlebellsmum · 06/05/2010 21:19

moon I'm so with you on not being interested in the details - I just wanted to marry the man surrounded by people we cared about. Funny story - cake was decorated by MIL's friend with icing flowers. Friend asked what flowers I wanted and mil passed on the message fom me that was "I don't mind - what ever she likes doing as then they will look lovely" Deocorator didn't believe MIL and insisted that I ring her, which I did and just repeated the same line! She was a bit stunned as brides are normally more fussy! Same story with the florist. So I think you are completly normal!

cupcake good idea to make plans for next week - twidling thumbs is just not fun and you can always cancel , should junior want to make an apperance...

MLS Yeh for nursery -some well deserved time to yourself to do all the jobs that you don't want to do with a toddler in tow!

QA Domestic godess no - idiot yes, baking bread is just another job that I have to do and beat myself up about if I have to buy it!! Well I don't beat myself up too much really.

Vjay well done for going to the drs so quickly. It can be a slippery slope and great to stop the slide when you are so near the top. Enjoy the reading ( when Ajay lets you that is!)

blue the broken sleep is a killer isn't it? I was never brave enough to do controlled crying - mainly as DS was/is a stubborn little bugger who could cry for England and I think that CC would have just made him worse.

neeko and MLS lovely girly photo of the 5 of you. MLS - your lo better be a girl to complete the group. I did have to smile at the organized cards strung over the sofa - moneeko has been on the case methinks!

Got to go - I have missed loads of people out - MrsK great to see you back - is it your anniversary soon?
Hello to all - I will be back soon - just got to finish one more thing for work and then , it will be proper mat leave...

MummyLovesSadie · 06/05/2010 21:31

Moon thanks , I came up with the design for the dress myself & got a dressmaker to make it. I did however do my bouquet & the table flowers!

LBM please tell me you use a breadmaker & don't actually knead the dough daily yourself??!

CurlyBigPants · 06/05/2010 22:36

I am loving all this wedding talk moon I was just like you. Didn't care about the details I just wanted family good friends lots of booze and yum food!!

Just wanted to give mermaid a massive hug. I've been thinking about you all day. And monkey too brave lady. Tell us how you are doing xxx

good night all you lovelies xxx

GracieGirl · 07/05/2010 08:12

Morning! MrsKate's 1st wedding anniversary is tomorrow, well remembered LBM. I got a little too organised and sent her a card last week whilst I'd got time, I thought I might forget if I left it to this week!

GracieGirl · 07/05/2010 08:26

Not wishing to turn our thread policitical but I can just imagine our new prime minister doing the Hugh Grant Dance from Love Actually!! link Sorry I've given up on taking it seriously!

GracieGirl · 07/05/2010 09:16

Interesting spelling of political Gracie - thats one handed typing whilst holding a wriggling baby!

VJay · 07/05/2010 09:22
