Hellooo....I'm back! And very happy to be home. It was lovely to see my friends and catch up on their lives, but it wasn't exactly relaxing. Taking a toddler anywhere isn't going to be easy, is it?! However we both enjoyed it most of the time. Charlie wasn't exactly nice to the other toddler there. He thought all the toys at my friend's house were his, not the little boy who lives there! So there were a few tears.
I'm totally in awe of my friend who hosted the weekend. Her new house on her farm (an hour out of the city)is absolutely stunning - like out of a magazine, only real, comfortable and homely.Wow! It is about three times the size of my (average) house. Which is great, but I really don't envy the cleaning!
It was good to catch up with my friends, we are scattered all over the state and country, so only really do this once a year. It's funny how everyone is pretty much the same as they were at uni, despite all the changes that some of us have experienced. Some of them are still single, some divorced and remarried, some childless others with big families. And still all lovely friends.
Charlie travelled reasonably well, all things considered, until the last leg of the trip, when we had turbulence and he didn't want to be strapped into his seat. A fair amount of screaming and crying went on.Bet the other passengers were happy to get off!
Well, now I'm home and best start thinking about SWI soon! If I was having a normal cycle I'd ovulate in the next couple of days, but so far it is negative opks and negative microscope, so who knows. I'm not sure what will happen as Charlie is still bf too. In fact he's probably bf more than normal because he's cutting some new teeth, so it remains to be seen if I do O any time soon.
Oh, almost forgot to send a quiet Congrats to Rainbow. I really hope this is a sticky one for you.
Sorry, I can't keep track of everything, limited time.
Rowing, how was your weekend? I hope you aren't feeling too sad.
