So, I thought I'd take it upon myself to kickstart the new thread. As the title suggests, this is a wonderful home full of the bravest, funniest and most inspirational women on Mumsnet, who are always ready to lend an ear and a virtual glass of wine.

The new thread is kicked off with 3 bfps in 3 days, so here's to more love and luck along the way

xx

Love joss whedon- mainly buffy though

still no RTD, still delusional!

Goodluckbear · 25/03/2010 18:28

I have a genuine bona fida question ladies - one of my few posts where I have something useful to say/ask!! I reckon I may have ovulated yesterday (regular cycle, I'm due RTD on 7th April so would've expected to ov 14 days before - i.e. yesterday). Today I feel a bit achey - just a little like period pains - just kind of a heavy feeling where I normally would have period pains. What's that all about then?

Obviously I'm obsessing about everything now. It could potentially be trapped wind due to the excessive amounts of chocolate coated raisins I've eaten today. Who knows.

mused great news!
gilda thanks for hashish mac tip. Been puzzling 'bout that one!

Me - just counting days and symptom spotting ( glad not only one)

hippychick66 · 25/03/2010 19:10

Hi, Love the new name. I knew it was you guys cos of the Tightie whitie comment.

I tried to move myself from WTF to the regular list but failed miserably and got scared I would cock it all up. So have abandoned the plan. Can someone please put me on the list as cycle day 4 - usual cycle length 28. TTC #3. Thanks.

hippychick66 · 25/03/2010 19:13

Ok - just realised that I have already been done. Sorry been up a long time today and feeling slightly mad/jet lagged/old!!!!

Forget it and carry on around me.

clareanna · 25/03/2010 20:41

glb in my current state I have little that will help! Could be ov pain? I have been achy for 5 days now- still no RTD- we'll see what tomorrow brings...

clareanna · 25/03/2010 21:39

RTD had descended (thank god an end to the madness) just another 5 weeks until I go mad again!

Gi1da · 25/03/2010 21:44

Bugger and balls Clareanna but I am convinced that April will be unsurpassed in updifferentials so don't fret!

Moofold · 25/03/2010 22:16

Hello all. I still haven't caught up on those 300 posts and now there is a new thread and everything. So I gather the major headlines are CONGRATULATIONS to Alba, Unbuffy & Happygirl!! Well done to you all, I'm chuffed for you! Not in the slightest bit envious.. Glad Muser is getting there - sorry if I have missed out on anyone else's news.

RTD of doom got me today which has finally put an end to that miserable bloody 65 day cycle. I had convinced myself I was pregnant in Ireland and tested (BFN), so a bit glum after getting hopes up. Now wondering if I am so desperate to be pregnant again that I have become delusional fabricating symptoms that are just not there.

Hey ho, new cycle and CBFM here I come. First attempt at list updatage - hope I haven't arsed it up.

oh GLB - meant to say I felt really achey like that for several days before and after ovulation during that cycle there. I don't recall ever feeling like that before but also havent been scrutinising my every bodily function in such a manner before!

randomimposter · 26/03/2010 01:07

ok - haven't worn tighty whities for many a year.... been up late drinking with an old friend. Nothing helpful or informative to say - hic... x

littlemiss72 · 26/03/2010 07:26

Morning all, good god jollster 1am.. bed woman!

GLB I'm in the same boat, ov'd around the same time and feeling a little crampy like you mentioned. Also wondering what it might be not sure I've ever noticed it before.

We have our 2ww to get through, symptom spotting..

Thanks god it's Friday, I've had a busy week at work and need a nice glass of wine! I'll try and hold out until 5pm

Happy Friday all x

AlbaDeTamble · 26/03/2010 07:55

Sorry to bring bad news to shiny new thread. Day of cramps and sharp pains and all other symptoms stopped yesterday. Clearblue this morning says try again next month... And check out that ski brochure.
Thankful for all that lovely recently delivered wine as RTD will doubtless be heavy and painful when she arrives.
Not buying any more super early sensitive tests as they only cause heartache, but keeping in mind DH reckons the same thing happened the month before we conceived DS, only we didn't have the early test to prove it... Hope this can happen again and this CP won't mess up my cycle for next month.
No chance of a 2010 baby now though

BunnyBaby · 26/03/2010 09:00

alba really sorry to hear your news, I think that's why I'm too scared to test until 3 days late. Keep your faith in mother nature, she will give you your baby very soon. Book your ski holiday, and perhaps you'll get a little snowflake baby as an extra bonus to take home with you!

Gi1da · 26/03/2010 09:00

Oh Alba, sorry you've had your hopes buggered about. Must be that your body's having a good thorough warm up for the next bean. And you get a holiday to relax and spend some fun time with DH beforehand!

Moofold - hi! Gosh you must be glad that RTD came at last, though not often we say that!

GLB, Littlemiss I have a feeling that this month I will be wondering about every twinge, even though I've never really noticed before. You ladies (not just you two of course) have opened my eyes to a whole new world of TTC madness

I am officially on holiday till after Easter so hoorah for me . Am supposed to be getting on with some decorating, but may take a least a day to just ponder about...

randomimposter · 26/03/2010 09:00

Arsicles Alba . But the ski trip will be brill. The 2010 thing haunted me a bit too.

littlemiss I know what a twit... was up at 4.30 with a raging thirst, and then at 6 making DP's sarnies and flask. DEFO no wine for me today that's for sure...

Morning all x

Muser · 26/03/2010 09:05

Really sorry to hear that Alba. Big hugs to you. The not getting a 2010 baby is hard to accept. But we'll have big bellies at Christmas instead. And not because of excess mince pies!

HappyGirl1 · 26/03/2010 09:12

Alba so so so sorry to hear your news. That's just devastating but hopefully your DH is right and you will now conceive next month after a great ski trip.

I'm quite nervous myself this morning, ever since MC i've had darts of pain up my middle randomly on and off and have had a few sharp ones today. So very very very nervous about that.. I've booked an appointment with my GP on Monday. I'm now 2-3 days late and no spotting etc but these pains are very worrying. Def not ready for grads list.

This baby making business is one big stress but hopefully worth it in the end

VivClicquot · 26/03/2010 09:13

Oh Alba, I'm so sorry. Get booking that ski trip and drinking that wine, girl.

My 2ww seems to be passing really quickly - I can't believe it's a week since I got the first on the opk. Have still got pinky cm when I wipe, but have convinced myself it was ovulation spotting rather than anything remotely interesting. And apart from that, no other symptoms to report.

Oh - I had a dream last night that the wife of one of my colleagues was pregnant with twins but that nobody wanted to tell me. Paranoid, or what?!

Anyway, here's to a lovely Friday everyone.
Love to all xxx

Allthe8s · 26/03/2010 09:14

Alba so sorry, that snatched away feeling is utter shit. Go book that skiing trip and heres to big round christmas tums ! Big hugs (((()))) x

Pollyanna · 26/03/2010 09:42

oh alba i'm really sorry.

I am also in the 2ww now, symptom spotting like mad (would be a bloody miracle with dh refusing to swi or swoi though!). I booked a skiing holiday too - but a couple of weeks ago, hoping that sod's law would apply and I would get pg and not be able to ski! (no logic there I know).

Had a bit of bleeding yesterday and thought RTD was on it's way. (but also spend time reading about implantation bleeding obsessively). I won't be testing early, so have about a week to go (I think, possibly) before RTD would be late.

BunnyBaby · 26/03/2010 11:55

Ok - I'm a scaredy cat here.

We're now 10 days past my ovulation spotting and some brown blood when i wiped this am and cramps (though have been cramping the whole cycle so nowt new there).

It appears to now be gone, and is either:

  • implantation spotting; or
  • start of RTD (at day 21?!)

I guess this is the post-mc world as never had any spotting / cramping mid cycle in the past.

Shall keep you posted how I get on, no more spots during last two loo visits.

Sigh ....

BunnyBaby · 26/03/2010 12:01

Ooh snap polyanna glad it's not just me!

Happy Friday everyone. Putting feet up on couch whilst DS1 takes his nap prior to toddler group. Glad I don't work Friday's

BunnyBaby · 26/03/2010 14:18

Gosh - quiet on here today.

I think it's RTD so 10 day cycle (only 2 day bleed) may have been breakthrough bleeding. Day 10 ov spots may have actually been day 21 implantation and RTD could be actually at Day 31 (it is not unusual for me to be late by 3 days max unless pregnant - won't test before then).

Just trying to make sense of that which has no sense!

Looking online if today is day 1 I still have a chance of a due date of the 31st December

Cheepz · 26/03/2010 14:32

looks like i'll be coming back. just had scan. mmc probably baby stopped growing last week. erpc next wednesday if nothing natural happens before that.

sorry - i know its demoralising when grads return!! its not suposed to happen that way

right - time for a full caff latte...
