So, I thought I'd take it upon myself to kickstart the new thread. As the title suggests, this is a wonderful home full of the bravest, funniest and most inspirational women on Mumsnet, who are always ready to lend an ear and a virtual glass of wine.

The new thread is kicked off with 3 bfps in 3 days, so here's to more love and luck along the way

Happy, Buffers, Zayja and NotsoBarrenbrook yes do please visit. Don't let it be like that time when Mummy said that Fluffy had gone to Devon. I always wondered why he never came back for a holiday.

Gilda you're funny. I like to think I'm funny but I bow to your superior funny cleverness...

ladybee very eloquent... SO right on the little disappointments thing.... I can count many

Am re-posting list as am going to wait to TTC. Went to docs today to arrange day 21 test to check progesterone level and also toxoplasmosis antibody. Rubella antibody checked on last booking in bloods and was fine. As per acupunturist advice am going to wait a couple of cycles.... really don't want to MC again if I haven't checked off some of the basics. So have been totally naughty and am quaffing SBlanc like it's going out of fashion...

Evening ladies - and welcome to Ladybee. Lots of the things you have said strike a chord and your comment about lots of little disappointments is quite poignant. I found the ritual of getting the bloody thermometer back out every morning particulalry depressing, as was raking out the OPKs from the back of the draw and of course - the SWI!! Look after yourself in the first few weeks and if I can impart any advice it would be that you will slowly start to feel better and stronger but every now and then will have a horrible low. Its a strange sort of recovery and I guess all I'm saying is that don't feel too alarmed to have periods of healing and moving on interspersed with being heartbroken all over again. These will get fewer as time goes on and we are all here to hold hands through those shitty times.

Littlemiss sorry to here your news, take care x. Also sorry about dirtgirl's RTD. Know what you mean about it being boring sometimes. My CBFM was high for the first time ever this morning and you know what, I CAN'T BE ARSED! Still have this foul cold and DH not home til later and I really think I need to give it a miss as I can't face the thougt of going through the motions. Hopefully I'll get a few days before my peak to build my strength!

I met my friend today who is due around the same time I was and just seeing her walking towards me with her lovely bump caused such a pain. I can't stop thinking that I should be there too and I think it was actually quite an awkward meeting, with me trying to act natural and enquiring about how her pregnancy is going. I hope she didn't pick up on that but I really struggled.

I agree that it would be very nice indeed for all those recently upduffed to stay in touch! Have a good holiday Alba x

thank you

Pollyanna · 10/04/2010 07:26

hello all.

Littlemiss sorry about your news, and welcome to the thread Ladybee. I completely empathise about the whole thing being a lot of separate disappointments too.

I have a question as I am quite worried about bleeding/periods etc. I am on my second rtd after mc, the first was surprisingly light given the (apparent) thickness of the lining. This one is horrendous. i think I am 8/9 days into it, and am still having cramping - it woke me up last night. Is this normal? It is possible I had a cp last month too - would this cause such a heavy and long period?

I am getting worried that I'll spend the whole month bleeding, and will never get back to normal.

Pollyanna · 10/04/2010 07:27

sorry meant to ask - Jollster which acupuncturist do you go to?

littlemiss72 · 10/04/2010 08:11

Monring all, many thanks for your kind words your a smashing bunch!

Dito Polly I 've been up half the night.. I had light bledding after erpc, then normal period came 28/9 days later again light. This time.. I'm wondering if there's something wrong.

Welcome ladybee as other have already said so sorry you find yourself here, your in the right place mind.

Love to all x

Gi1da · 10/04/2010 09:41

Funny lala or funny haha Jollster? I think humour is my survival strategy for getting through the days.

Polly and Littlemiss sorry rtd is being horrid. My first after nat mc was bloody awful and painful though mercifully quite brief. I have no idea what to expect next time. Bound to be that our bodies are all confused about what's going on, especially I would imagine after erpc as body didn't do the work itself so may still think it should be building. Am sure it will take a few months to get back to normal.

am on the mini screen now but will do the stats in a mo when on the biggie.

It is a stunningly gorgeous day here, envious glances to any of you living by the sea. Life does contain many little disappointments but it also contains many moments of little happinesses. I hope you all find some in the sun today.

Now someone pinch me for being over sentimetal. You guys, I'm so proud of you all it makes me quite soppy. Right so, am off to be sarcastic to DH.

Gi1da · 10/04/2010 09:43

Sentimetal is similar to sentimental but slightly more prone to rust.

Gi1da · 10/04/2010 10:26

I've been quite strict and taken off MIA and Pending Stats as the list takes up so much room. Easier to add people back on if they come back.

Hello every body Peeps.

Sorry bout the absenteeism, had an interesting week with work
(decent outcome by the way )
and have lurked on mowbli meaning to post when I got home.

I bought Lindt Bunnies, am I forgiven

I NEED want a Netbook just to be able to catch up as MrG has glued the craptop to the T.V and it's not condusive to my lounging on the sofa lap posting.

My bad, should try harder D- for me.

Urd thinking of you and your loved ones xx

Happy notsoBarren Zayja
Big sloppy snogs for BFP's!

Sorry for the RT2D2's. Rusty git that he is.

Welcome to Playing Freezing Scotch and Ladybee
Chocolate and boooze is always a good thing to add to our menkulness party.

Gi1da Poor Fluffy.
You funny, funny like a clown, you amuse me.
Goodfellas moment, sorry

I'm a little behind but did someone say they were watching Castle earlier in the week?
watched it last night, Nathan Fillion is luuurrrvvly.

The rusty fucker is due for me today.
I think?
D27 which is "normal"
It will be my first after the WTF cycle which lasted 65 days.
No sign as yet, no cramps either.
Which is not so normal
May go 28-29 days. Who knows?

Never been one to follow normality
Still weekly peeing on spuds and transfering to ikkle tubes and dutifully posting them back to Sheffield
Makes me wonder what is actually floating round in the Royal Mail

My results have actually now gone back to zero so I'll be ringing soon to beg for the go ahead to start TTC again.
Another 12 weeks me arse!

I'm fine, give me my Baybee

MrsGazebo · 10/04/2010 13:14

Ooops forgot I'd name changed for a jokey Easter fred.
Not that it was very imaginative and also means I'll be going straight to hell.

I used to be a good little Catholic girl.

malteser1981 · 10/04/2010 13:25

I'm near the top of the list and nervous. My boobs are sore - but only because I've been squeezing them on the hour to check for any optimistic signs. No RTD but no pg symptoms either.
Daren't test - because if it's a negative I think I may crumble, the only thing that has kept me going since the mc is the thought of being pregnant again.
Sorry my post is so self absorbed but I'm sure you all can understand it's all I can think about.

I echo Mrs G - please please please give me a baby.

mumsie123 · 10/04/2010 13:25

Hi ladies,

Hope you don't mind me joining in

I had a very early MC about 3 week's ago, i was woundering if it's "safe" to try again in May.

As most woman are on here i am so nervous very scared and anxious.

And advice as this is my first MC i already have 2DC.

Thank you

Redheadgal · 10/04/2010 15:56

Hello Ladies,

Sorry for the silence. DH and I were enjoying a belated honeymoon. Not quite as we'd planned, since we'd planned to be 14 weeks pregnant, but wonderful nonetheless and just what we needed after the last 3 weeks. I've brought plenty of turkish delight and baklava back from Istanbul so help yourselves!

[waves to LadyBee, Curlylox and Mumsie123]

Keeping fx for you Malteser Mumsie, I don't know about things being 'safe'. I had a mmc three weeks ago and we're ttc asap. I don't expect it'll happen immediately - god knows when I'm going to ovulate next. People choose to wait for all sorts of reasons, but it's really up to you. We're going to take it easy during the WTF cycle - if it happens, it happens and if it doesn't we'll try in earnest during cycle 1.

Pollyanna · 10/04/2010 15:57

hi Mumsie, sorry you're here, but welcome. I have found this thread very useful (first mc in Feb).

Anyway, I am in a panic, so sorry for tmi...

2nd period after mc, first one very light, now into my 9th day - it is getting heavier, I am getting breathless again like I'm anaemic, and just passed a huge (well not that huge but ysim) livery clot. cramps quite bad yesterday and today again. I've just phoned epu and have to do a pregnancy test (dh getting it for me), but might have to go back in this evening if it carries on.

But I had 2 scans after mc and was told there were no "retained products" - could they have missed anything? What are the other symptoms of retained products? Sorry for all the questions - I'm panicky because I feel so awful again, but also because I'm meant to be going on holiday on Monday.

Redheadgal · 10/04/2010 15:59

Whoops, sorry for the random *s

Pollyanna · 10/04/2010 16:00

sorry cross posted with you redheadgal.

clareanna · 10/04/2010 18:02

Hi Pollyanna, my 2nd rtd after erpc was also heavier and far longer than normal , but no clots or cramping during. Big hugs to you- take care and I hope everything is ok

Mumsie- welcome to the thread and sorry for your loss. Most soca I talked to said wait one cycle, but most of is on here have experienced a few weird cycles post mc and a feeling that not everything is quite back to normal. personally, I felt desperate to get pg again after mmc in jan, but now realistically I think it will take my body a bit longer to be back on track.

Red - glad you had a lovely honeymoon

Malteser- fingers and pee sticks crossed for you

O, mrsg- good to see you back and still weeing in envelopes- your poor postman. Great news on your levels, hope you get the green light soon

clareanna · 10/04/2010 18:04

Mrsg- tell tell- what happened with work?

PrettyVacant1 · 10/04/2010 18:18

Have to be quick as Dr. Who is on in a min,
Clareanna work I stood up for myself, they listened, they consulted, I got to read the Regional Manager a little better, we spoke (several times)he got to read me.
They backed down, I am going to another store which is doing well to work along side a great team and shadow an experienced, well respected manager who won't screw me over and I feel more positive and appreciated.

Phew! And breathe.
Oh and it's the Sheffield Postie I feel sorry for.

Back after Dr.Who
Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

PrettyVacant1 · 10/04/2010 18:19

F'got I'd name changed!
Ooooopsie!

MrsG x

mumsie123 · 10/04/2010 18:22

Thank you all for making me feel welcome.

My MC was so early i had only just found out and then 4 days later started to bleed, so i'm hoping things may have gone back to normal but me and DH are going to leave 1 or 2 months so that we can be emptionaly ready incase the worst happens again

I just hope that it isn't the start of a very hard road.

I'm sorry for everyone on here, i haven't read all the thread's as there are so many but some of the stories are heartbreaking.

I'm scared to start again and still dont know if we will 100% all you ladies who have are amazing and hopefully i can learn a few things on here nd pick myself up again.

PrettyVacant1 · 10/04/2010 19:13

Hello Mumsie so sorry that you've found yourself here, but it really is a good place to be if that makes sense.
Only you can decide when you'll be ready, don't put any pressure on yourselves.
It does get easier I promise.
