Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone testing soon, i am going to start either Tuesday or Weds, not holding out much hope though - have felt a bit about it all today and think i need some distractions!

Totallyfloaty35 · 20/03/2010 22:27

Rosie i think we are on the same cd,i should also hang on til Tues at least, have a feeling i might crack by Mon though.
Im like a yoyo keep thinking i have symptoms an getting excited then realising said symptom happens every month anyway so plunge into land of Gloom.
Goodluck everyone with testing,i have so much crossed for you im walking funny

Totally @ cracking on Monday - if you do i will god knows i dont feel any encouragement though.

If i got a positive opk last Sunday then i assume i ov'ed on Monday the do you count dpo from the day after? I.e is 1dpo on Tuesday or do you count ov day (Monday) as 1dpo? I will be 8dpo Monday if thats the case?

rosieposey · 20/03/2010 23:02

That should have read need any encouragement though.

Lorelai · 21/03/2010 07:50

Well I think that the day after ov is 1dpo, so if you ov'd on Monday then the following Monday would be 8dpo. That is how I am counting it anyway!

Lorelai · 21/03/2010 07:51

Sorry, mistyped that, I did mean 7 dpo

rosieposey · 21/03/2010 08:53

Right ok thanks for that Lorelai i will test for the first time on Tuesday morning though - that is still much too early but you never know and there is someone on the main Dec thread who got a bfp at 8dpo but im not holding out much hope - i think testing on Weds or Thurs will give me a more realistic answer.

MrsWajs · 21/03/2010 08:59

FR'd this morning - BFN

digitalgirl · 21/03/2010 09:01

I ate blue cheese last night. And had booze. I am doing my very best to tempt fate.

12dpo and no symptoms to report.

Expecting my period anytime between Wednesday and Friday.

rosieposey she might have got a bfp via a blood test or she might have miscalculated when she ovulated, I think a bfp at 8dpo is very rare. But good luck to you, I hope you get a lovely surprise.

Lorelai · 21/03/2010 09:02

You might want to check out the stats on the early testing thread - you are very unlikely to get an accurate result till much closer to AF due - even then it's only about 75% who get an accurate result.

Although I do understand the urge, I am only holding out coz I know that the first time I test early it will be like opening the floodgates and I will be testing hourly from 7dpo!

Lorelai · 21/03/2010 09:05

MrsWajs - when are you due? Is it just too early?

No more symptoms here, which I am taking as a good sign. Might buy some tests later, although I think that may be tempting fate in the wring way IYSWIM!

digitalgirl · 21/03/2010 09:06

Sorry mrswaj maybe in a couple of days time?

rosieposey · 21/03/2010 10:04

Your probably right The thing is i did get one at 9dpo with DS i tested on the Tuesday as had sore boobs and wasnt due till the saturday, i know when i ove'd too so i think its just lulled me into thinking that this time might be the same too? I think your probably right though i am going to hold out until Weds which will put me at roughly 10dpo and i think its probably ok to start testing then.

JulesAbs · 21/03/2010 11:21

Hello,
I am just new to this site, i am just 8dpo and counting.

MrsWajs · 21/03/2010 11:34

No, am on CD33 today, UCL is 32 days so not too early I don't think. Really thought this was my month! But like they say it's not over til AF arrives but I'm not counting on it.

Lorelai · 21/03/2010 13:13

Welcome jules.

Will keep my fingers crossed for you MrsWajs.

Just been to Tesco, but DH wouldn't let me buy a test . Something about waiting till payday on Tuesday or some such ribbsh

Totallyfloaty35 · 21/03/2010 13:42

I bought more tests today,so i can now test everyday from monday without running out
Dont give up MrsWajs, you may have implanted late so levels not high enough to read yet.
DD3 has chickenpox,oh the joys....

OP posts:
Cazzr · 22/03/2010 09:31

Come wallow with me when u are sure it's AF. It could be implantation bleeding after all..

SpanishLady · 22/03/2010 09:47

Morning all,

well have officially started 2ww and I think my body is playing tricks on me....I am on CD 17 and either 5 or 6 dpo but since Sat have been feeling sick and have thrown up a little each day since it started - lots of poking feelings in my tum.

reasons might be pg?

senstitive nips
feel sick/am being sick
strong sense of smell
flutters/cramps

am not pg and am hallucinating/just neurotic:

had a curry on friday night - so just an upset tum
dont think I could be having 'symptoms' at this stage of cycle
get cramps/sore nips before my period but not usually until the week of my period eg this has started a week earlier then normal

promised I wouldnt do this but am so hopeful - am not testing until 2nd April though!
