I will join you! I am halfway through my 2ww, desperately just want to know either way! And every little twinge or nausea or hunger or anything is obviously a symptom

rosieposey · 16/03/2010 07:49

Im on the 2ww now as well - will test around the 24/25th although i suspect the former will be too early. I need something to distract me!

MrsWajs · 16/03/2010 08:18

I am 11 days through my 2ww!!!!

Test?

I don't know if I can bring myself to do it though!?

Cazzr · 16/03/2010 09:51

Ok, i'll join the list.. Thinking of POAS tomorrow (approx 10dpo) due at the weekend so could still be a bit early.

No major symptoms as yet tho feel as if boobs have grown, or I could have just put on more weight.. Oh and had the odd SPD twinge which of course could be my imagination.

Biggest difference seems to have been a lack of what I think is POST ovulation pain, which usually coincides with a very low and therefore painful cervix position. Had some cramps about the time I expected to ovulate tho.

So essentially, I think either I didn't ovulate for the first time in years OR I did ovulate but conceived and therefore didn't get the very low cervix thing..?

Can you tell I've over-analysed this? ;)
Babydust all round.

p.s. Gave up chocolate for lent and SERIOUSLY thinking of giving it up and downing a huge bar of galaxy because I'm doing my head in thinking about baby things!.... lol

Cazzr · 16/03/2010 09:52

Oh and MrsWajs, if you have a cheapy internet test then I'd say test, otherwise I'd say wait another day or two..

Totallyfloaty35 · 16/03/2010 10:40

Hello all,i feel for all of you 10days in.Im sure i will have done about 8 tests by then

Totallyfloaty35 · 16/03/2010 14:30

Went to boots today and got the BOGOF preggie tests.
Do you think i will be able to test on Sunday(will be ten days PO) as they are 1st response ones? or is that too early still?

OP posts:
rosieposey · 16/03/2010 14:45

Totallyfloaty35 i had a look in my Boots on Sunday for FR on bogof and they were full price (i went to Superdrug though and got them on bogof instead).

I got a 10dpo postive with FR with my DS so i think that should be fine if you know pretty much when you ovulated. - Good luck!

Lorelai · 16/03/2010 22:33

Oh, now you are makng me want to test - 10 dpo is tomorrow for me! Had what might have been implantation bleed today, but really really don't want to see a BFN so think I would be better off waiting.

MrsWajs · 17/03/2010 01:04

Ok no testing, quite sure AF will be here by the morning

Cazzr · 17/03/2010 09:11

Anyone had success with early testing using the internet cheapies.. Got some tescos tests but not sure if they are early ones or not.
Got a BFN this morning with internet cheapie but think I do feel preg... Damnit, was soo much easier with DS, didn;t realise I was preg till a week overdue..

Totallyfloaty35 · 17/03/2010 10:55

Im def testing sunday(if i can hold out that long) i have 5 tests so cant go crazy and use them all yet,im not actually due on til the 26th lol

OP posts:
rosieposey · 17/03/2010 11:16

Cazzr, which sort did you use? just to say it depends which sort of internet cheapy really. I had a right palaver last month with the test strips (not the actual plastic handled hpts i mean the test strips like they use at the doctors). Out of 15 i used i got two false positives (see the pic on my profile) I think it was where the dye had flooded the test but there were two definate lines. I retested with FR and CB digital and nothing, nada so i definately wasnt pg.

The other more expensive cheapies (if that makes any sense) that are encased in white plastic and look like supermarket own brands are fine i think. I have been using the equivalent of them in opks and she sent me 5 hpts too and as the opks worked really well (showing me coming into the LH surge and going out of it - i used them all up!) i can only assume that the hpts are ok too.

Some people on here swear by the test strips but after my experience last month i wont be using them again.

Lorelai, i have never had an implantation bleed i dont think but how exciting for you Fingers crossed eh?

MrsWajs dont dispair, did you test or not? Sometimes one of the best indicators that i was pg was the fact that i 'felt' like i was going to come on - fingers crossed for us all this month - ive only been at it for 2 months and im bored of SWI'ing already!

Cazzr · 17/03/2010 12:02

Rosie: thanks for your info. It was an ebay cheapie strips in foil packets. Never had a bfp, false or otherwise with them so far.
Today was the earliest I could test so might wait till friday.... and do a tesco one (i have two). That said, maybe I could try tomorrow.. If I get a BFP with tesco one I might do a foil one to see what it does. It (cheap one) says it should pick up from 10 miu.
Not sure how sensitive the tesco ones are tho..

rosieposey · 17/03/2010 12:29

Yep those were the ones i had - i got them because they are supposed to be able to be used super early, i know of people who have fantastic luck with them and it shows them that they are pg really early but after last month im off them im afraid.

Do you know that First Response are on bogof in Superdrug (and Boots too i think) so you can get 4 for a tenner basically or i have heard mention that S/burys own brand are really good for detecting early bfp's no idea what the miu is supposed to be on them though. FR are definately early as they are supposed to be 25mui but i have heard that they can differ and be lower than that thereby making them very sensitive.

I am going to start testing around 9/10 dpo with FR in the morning and my internet cheapies in the evening (the plastic coated less cheapie ones) till AF comes so possibly 5/6 days worth but then i am a poas addict

Cazzr · 17/03/2010 13:33

i'm guessing the bogof is only instore then as both websites don't have them on bogof. I work full-time so getting to one could be tricky. Will give a tesco one a whirl tomorrow I think.

rosieposey · 17/03/2010 13:43

Aww bugger - when i checked last week they had them on the website too on bogof, i bought mine on Sunday so perhaps that was the last day Rubbish!

Tesco, S/burys ect are all much of a muchness i think but definately more reliable than the strips i reckon - good luck will check back in to see what the outcome is!

Lorelai · 17/03/2010 13:55

Am not feeling too optimistic today think my hopes of this being an implantation bleed are dying. Will see what happens over the weekend but i suspect it is bad news.

Cazzr · 17/03/2010 14:25

lorelai: fingers crossed.

MrsWajs · 17/03/2010 14:57

RosiePosey No haven't tested yet! Had kinda decided not to bother as thought AF was coming but haven't had any more cramping since then but still have 'the feeling' might go to Boots this avo and get some FR and maybe do one tomorrow morning as I will be 30 days into my cycle then and my latest has only ever been 32 days.

rosieposey · 17/03/2010 15:06

Am pretty sure that FR would tell you by now anyway - ohh how exciting, you know sometimes its just when you least expect it y'know fingers crossed for you

Cazzr · 17/03/2010 15:53

rosie: phoned DH and asked him to pop into boots/superdrug and FR ARE still on bogof, so now got 4 waiting for me to pee on for 10.49! LOL

So, as I am about 11dpo, do we think I should still wait till the morning or could I try tonight?

It's daft to get excited about a blooming pg test!

Lorelai · 17/03/2010 16:05

Cazzr, prob best to wait till the morning for FMU, to give yourself the best chance of a BFP.

rosieposey · 17/03/2010 16:12

Ohhh thats good. Lorelai is probably right about FMU but then again if youve got 4 and you are roughly 11dpo ... lol dont look to me for self control as i would probably hold my wee till DH comes home and get testing, FMU is good but i have been known to hold on for several hours during the day too - its up to you but am keeping everything crossed for you - let us know how you get on!

Cazzr · 17/03/2010 16:19

OOOO the pressure, will see how I feel later tonight once home, horse sorted and DS in bed.

The sensible option would be FMU, but I have 4 FR, 2 Tesco's and several ebay cheapies all screaming at me to pee on them! lol
