Ok, feel a bit scared actually starting the new thread but here we are, for however long (or short) our time here may be.

Off you go ladies. Welcome () one and all.

Hi Ladies,
I haven't popped in for a long while. Have been trying not to obsess about ttc and thought maybe mn was increasing the anxiety about it all (but thinking about it, I believe temping is a daily reminder causing more worry than mn in the 2ww). Anyway, AF showed today Was going to take my name off the list, but then catching up on a few pages of posts reminded me of all the great comfort and support here when going through a shit time. So sorry to hear of all the recent losses, but this thread has been a great consolation to me. Had a cry this evening about my lost bean from mmc at 12w nearly a year ago. Read your post maitri and wanted to say hang in there, I know what you're going through. Well, am still ttc but gonna try to be better to myself and relax a bit more this month.

Morning ladies,

Hope you are all well today, thank you all for your wishes and love, means alot.

jollster sorry you're still being dicked about mate, hope it goes well today and that you can finally draw a line under it (so to speak) and not have to go in for an ERPC. Thinking of you

Maitri Sorry to hear of your loss, in my last self obsessed post I didn't read I just typed and logged off and missed your post. Will be thinking of you too today, hopefully there will be no need for intervention and you can come home.

Redandyellow Congratulations! like the others have said, here's to a very uneventful sticky pregnancy.

Hippy I bled for about 2 or so weeks after ERPC (I can't remember exactly) I went back to the Drs and they said it's completely normal and only if it smells (nice) should I worry! Hope that's definitely the end of it now though chick.

delilahbelle Sorry to hear your news mate, it sucks whenever it happens, doesn't matter how far gone you are. Welcome and stick around, the ladies on here are a good tonic!

Well, my weekend has been a wee bit up and down, after having a somewhat emotional day Friday, I was a little teary on Sat morning but went to acupuncture and came away feeling quite positive about it all, was really looking forward to my bessie mate and her other half coming over for dinner so imagine my surprise when she turns up and presents me with a picture of a scan and tells me she's 13 weeks pregnant. They weren't even trying, she's not had a period for 8 months! That was a massive kick in the proverbial b*ollocks I can tell you. Somehow I found the composure to not throw myself on the floor and wail like a banshee. Then she asked me what was happening with us and I had to explain what had just happened. Luckily by this point we had left the boys downstairs. Oh God. Hideous. I felt awful for her. Don't ever want to have to do that again!

So acupuncturist has recommended I get some Serenity Progesterone cream to rub on in the second half of my cycle and some Vitex Agnus Castus to take for the first half. Anyone else had any experience of either?

Drs on Weds too, no doubt I'll have to go back and have bloods done again.

Sorry for the ramble! Have a good day all

Cheepz · 08/03/2010 09:43

barren just wanted to stop in and say so sorry what a load of arse

zayja hang in there hon, think of you

jolls you are an absolute star, you are always so chipper, missing you

all others, hang in there, you get there eventually, its just a bumpy road

for me had early scan with smallest heartbeat you have ever seen at 6.5 weeks so fingers crossed. sick as a dog and thankful for that fact every day

xx love to all

VivClicquot · 08/03/2010 09:47

Morning all x

Firstly, barrenbrook I am so sorry honey - life can be so cruel. You sound as though you're bearing up remarkably well so hope you and DH are doing okay.

Congrats to redandyellow

And hi to delilahbelle ... am so sorry that you're here but we're a lovely bunch.

maitri - hope things are settling down for you today.

As for me - had a fab weekend (I went to see Dizzee Rascal and Lily Allen on Friday night, which was aces) but AF turned up as predicted. Still - it means the 'important' days this month will be when DH and I are away in France on a mini-break so hoping that might prove to be lucky....

Will do the list in a second... xxxx

VivClicquot · 08/03/2010 09:52

Oh cheepz that's fab news, love. I'm totally thrilled for you xx

Barrenb - I'm so sorry to hear your news, big hugs and hope you're getting lots in RL too. I would've started wailing I think.

Hi Delilah - glad you found us here, this thread was a real lifeline for me. Take it easy and stick with us for some hand holding!!

Hopefully - I caved and tested early today, BFN. I want to cry but unfortunately am spending this morning being yelled at by my boss. Am typing this while he yells.

And I didn't even do anything wrong!!!

Gah, the nice weekend feeling is slowly moving onto the rubbish Monday feeling - here we go.....fortunately BFN means I'll be having a nice large glass of wine when I go out tonight!!

Big wave to everyone!!

xxxxxxxxxx

Goodluckbear · 08/03/2010 10:11

Crap, sorry, that was such a depressing post. What I should have finished off with (by the way - boss has stopped yelling now) was this:

Congrats to redandyellow!!!

And yay for Cheepz heartbeat!!

And it is a sunny day and it can only get better!! I am going to have a big fat cake for my lunch. Only 2hrs 20mins to go.

xxxxxxxx

wannabeamum · 08/03/2010 10:25

Yah for Cheepz - what a joy to see, you must be over the moon.

Viv - a romantic trip to France will def. get things going - nudge nudge!!

As for me, Im back at work wishing it wasnt Monday, DH is away for 3 nights this week so Im home alone! I have a qu for you ladies in the know. How long after a MC should you wait to test if there has been no AF?? Im all teary and stressed and had a stich like pain last week - Ive got everything crossed for BFP but cant help but think Im deluding myself!

Pollyanna · 08/03/2010 10:41

Congrats redandyellow and cheepz!

Sorry about your news barrenbrook - it's crap.

wannabeamum, my af arrived around 5 weeks after mc - how long ago was your mc?

Hi ladies apologies just realised i haven't give my stats - not 100% sure what the codes all are but ttc #1 (i'm assuming i don't include the MC try?), ucl 26-28, is CD current day in cycle? if so then that would be 11 since the MC..

VivClicquot Hope France is lucky!

Wannabeamum - did you start trying straight after MC? That's what I really want to do but am so confused as to whether to wait for first AF or not? Prob is that the 'important day's will be middle of this week and I'm completely stressed just thinking about it not knowing what to do.

floweringcurrant · 08/03/2010 10:51

Happy Monday morning, hope everyone is well and enjoying some sunshine.

I'm sorry I can't name check everyone but Barrenbrook, I just wanted to say I know how upsetting that can be , I had a similar thing with my sister recently and was terribly upset when I saw her first scan photo.

Congrats Redandyellow! Sending you lots of sticky vibes.

I daren't get my hopes up BUT think there's a chance I may be joining you! I tested this morning and got a line... faint but defo a line.

Feeling a bit shaky even writing this hoping and praying it sticks around.

pollyanna thanks for the info, my MC was 3 weeks ago (14 Feb) so im guessing AF could turn up in around another 3 weeks.
newcastle we did start trying again straight away - I MC'd at home and bleed for about 6 days after that, once the bleeding stopped I wanted to feel close to DH again and it seemed strange to dust off the condoms.. maybe we should have thou. I have heard that you should wait a cycle, but I have also heard that you are very fertile after a MC so we decided to just carry on as normal.

Pollyanna · 08/03/2010 12:05

I think they say it can come any time from 4-6 weeks after a natural mc. We carried on sw[o]i too, but I'm pretty sure I didn't ovulate in that cycle. Good luck anyway - I was secretly a bit gutted I didn't fall pg straight away.

Gi1da · 08/03/2010 12:19

G'morning all - just popped in to say you cheeky monkey flowering current slipping that bfp in there - WAYHEY!! Sticky vibes to you x

Barrenbrook, what a nightmare! It's a total cow when that happens, sorry for you its your bf (though I'm sure she's lovely and deserves it etc blah blah).

I wonder how many more times I'll have to do the Rictus Smile when someone tells me their good news? Yet another colleague today. It's a funny feeling, making your face smile when you want to curl up and die inside. I wonder if that's what botox feels like?

BunnyBaby · 08/03/2010 13:56

floweringcurrant yay! Congrats!

We're just leaving centerparcs had a lovely time and my bonus AF finished last night ( cycle 1. 29 days, cycle 2. 10 days?!?!) thankfully no spotting now so hope that's what I think may have been a post mmc hormonal imbalance sorted out. Ready to SWI roll on day 10 for a 2010 lo!

Unbuffy · 08/03/2010 14:00

Afternoon all! Blimy, I can't keep up with this - it's all happening, ain't it? Can't do a namecheck without paper, pen, photographic memory and brian. Except he seems to have exploded again. So I've got two plates, one of sticky dust cakes and one of alcoholic chocolate biscuits for the lucky/hopeful/desperate-for-chocolate amongst us (help yourselves as appropriate - both if you like!). I've also got a big bag of sympathy and hugs, and snuggly blankets for those as needs 'em, and masses and masses of marshmallows dipped in luck for all of us.

A bit better here today, dh back tonight, dd eating more and screaming less, and i have a kitchen again. Still in the 'so f%$£^&* jealous' stage and likely to remain that way. An looking forward to feeling sick again asap (try explaining THAT to a man!)

Allthe8s · 08/03/2010 15:47

Hi ladies, big waves to all and have some toasted buttered fruit bread if you fancy......not quite cake but it's hit the spot with a cuppa.

Been looking after my friends little girl today which has been lovely having cuddles all afternoon, she is 4 months, same age as dd2 would have been if things hadn't gone tits up. Miss her today

Hi to the newbies sorry to are here but you have come to the right place. Hugs for those where AF has turned up or if you are feeling a bit pants today, I'll be back with the wine later and fabs news to those who have had BFPs even if they have been faint - a line is a line ladies!

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

liahgen66 · 08/03/2010 16:09

hi everyone,

Can't namecheck everyone as haven't been on for a while and there's loads.

cheepz for your little bean

Barren

currants congratulations to you.

Well i had doc today, still no period post erpc, he said this can be normal but given my age he will start looking into it sooner rather than later.

so i have to have blood tests Weds for the blood disorder that canb cause recurrant mc, (had 4 now) he doesn't think 4 is normal. Also more fsh tests as things can change in the 6 mths since i last had it done at my age, (43).

if i get preggers before the results are in (3 wks time) then Ihave to tell him asap and he will give me progesterone pessaries.

If blood is pos thenI will be referred to heamotologist, if neg then gynea. So at least he understands.

He said If you don't get pregnant how upset would you be and i nearly cried, I said very, he said ok, lets do something. He asked how many more childrenIwanted, I said just one thanks.

Running to pick up ds now. Have good rest of day everyone.

OP posts:
Allthe8s · 08/03/2010 16:15

liah thats good news that your doc is onto things

hippychick66 · 08/03/2010 16:35

lia good news that they are doing lots of test. As you say - we can't hang about at our age!

newcastle of course it is up to you whether you wait for one cycle or go for it now. We just decided to wait for one AF mainly cos I had an EPRC and had heard that the lining can be thin after (like a good clear out). DH said, "If you got preg and then it came away straight away cos the lining was too thin, we'd wish we'd left it a month."

I don't know you in RL so hate to tell you whether to swi or not. It just seems from the way that you word it that you're not ready yet. You said - Prob is that the 'important day's will be middle of this week and I'm completely stressed just thinking about it not knowing what to do.

It just sounds like you are getting worried that you have to try this month and I want to reasure you that you don't. My GP said if you've been preg recently then you are more likely to get preg again - but I don't think that is just the month directly after a MC - i think it is just a general comment. Go easy on yourself hon .

Unbuffy It does seem unfair that yo have brian to help you remember who everyone is - can I borrow him. He's so ickle you can post him to me .

Forgot to say allthe8s how hard to look after a baby. It must have been lovely but also so incredibly emotional.

Welcome delilah - sorry for your loss.

Congrats floweringcurrant hang on in there - must be hard to enjoy it - but it is fab news.

Lia that's good that they are taking it seriously and moving things forward quickly.

I went to the GP today as I got in to a panic that the pos test was just from some residual hormones from the mc but he won't do any blood tests or anything about it. I have to hang on until Saturday and then test again and he is sort of, quite, almost (good doctor this one!!) certain that if I test pos then, then I really am pregnant. So in limbo for a bit longer.

Really quite cross that I can't have a blood test but I couldn't change his mind.

BarrenB - talk about another kick in the proverbial when you least need it. Lousy timing for you but well done for getting through it - think I'd still be wailing.

Whispered congrats to redandyellow and floweringcurrant - a line is a line! Redandyellow - how helpful - not - of your GP. How long ago was your m/c - I remember I got a negative within 2 weeks so hopefully it is the genuine article!

Lia - sounds like you have a great GP.

Goodluckbear - at your boss.

Always get hungry reading this thread as so many references to chocolate and biscuits!

I hope so! I started bleeding on the Saturday, I think that was the 6th Feb and tested negative on the Monday so I think the hormone levels dropped rapidly and therefore it is unlikely this is residual hormone but I can't help worrying. I have googled and it seems to vary from person to person but as I wasn't very far along and I had that neg test I think I am safe(ish).

Not sure when I will stop worrying though!

Even keep panicking I somehow did the neg test wrong but I can't test again until the weekend to be sure. If I get a BFP then I will believe it
