Just checking in to wish everyone a lovely weekend.
So sorry Barrenbrook, a terrible emotional rollercoaster. take good care.

Unbuffy · 06/03/2010 09:57

So very very sorry Barrenbrook. No words, really, except to agree with Jollster. It's bollo*ks. Thinking of you.

Hopefully · 06/03/2010 10:53

Barrenbrook so sorry for you. It's totally crap. Hope you're taking care of yourself today.

AF due today (although I think OV'd v late this month - CD17 rather than 14), no pre-AF symptoms or PG symptoms either. Possibly because it's too early for either if I did OV late. Might get a test later on today, but really not sure whether it's worth it, or whether to just wait till Monday, when I'll be officially late, regardless of when I OV'd.

It's funny, last month I was perfectly prepared to see BFNs, and wasn't bothered by testing lots and getting them, but this month I find myself not wanting to test unless I'm fairly sure it's going to be a BFP. Possibly it's a money saving thing

sparklyrainbow · 06/03/2010 11:20

Barenbrook so sorry.

Maitri, hope everything goes well. Like others have said, having gone through the natural version I think the ERPC is preferable now! I didn't want it as I'd started to bleed (and as it happens passed most of it within the following 2 days) and I've never had a general. They also weren't sure when I could be fitted in and basically said it could be any time within the next 36 hours as it was an emergency... didn't fancy hanging around waiting .

I am being quite vocal about what I've been through now I'm used to it, I just feel it's something that's kept so hush hush it makes it so terrifying when it happens, and as for the heavy period lie! . Couple of people at work have told me about their mcs, one mc 11 times though she did have 3dc in between. The sisterhood is definitely there

So pleased it's the weekend, lovely lie in and lots of cups of tea this morning, and the sun's shining. Off to walk the mutt now. Hope everyone has a good weekend x

boodleboot · 06/03/2010 11:40

barrenbrook...so sorry. Really really rotten luck.

littlemiss72 · 06/03/2010 11:47

Monring all, so sorry to hear your sad news barren

Just checking in.. still AF boobies however are now feeling v tender a sign for both pg or af on the way.

I have the hangover from hell and 3 hours in the hairdressers chair today for highlights to look forwrad to! All self inflicted so I only have myself to blame.

Have a lovely weekend all x

hippychick66 · 06/03/2010 12:42

Totally agree about the sisterhod thing. People have been crawling out of the woodwork all over the place - telling me that they too have had mc's.

I'm so sorry to those of you who had to have the natual version. As horrid and sad as it is to go to hospital and have the preocedure done - I must admit it does sound preferable to sitting on the loo for hours feeling scared. I've had quite a few anasthetics before so i knew I didn't have any odd reactions or anything. Anyway, whichever way you do it it's total sh*t and very unfair. I have been amazed by just how many women experience this.

Well done to moofold for finally getting 2 lines on the stick (I hope I am not muddling your name up with someone else!)I had tonnes of egg white - lovely image thanks Hippy. But only a faint second line. Ahh well, we weren't going to try till next month anyway. I guess the egg white is just as good a sign as the two lines anyway.

Jollster you are one of the most jolly people I know - incredible. Barren do you have a hangover this morning??

BunnyBaby · 06/03/2010 13:24

Barrenbrook really sorry, hope you're being wrapped up in lots of cuddles.

I'm now in the weird cycle club. Had medical management, bled for 5 days, spotted until mid cycle then nothing until AF on days 29. This AF was 5 days followed by light spotting too. Me and DH thought WTF so SWI on Thursday night (day 10) only to start bleeding yesterday. This terrified me at first as I thought he'd 'hurt me' in some way. Feeling more relaxed now as think spotting may have been sign hormones ont straight and this extra AF will sort everything out ( that's my instinct anyway) has anyone had similar?

Apologies if typos I'm at Centerparcs on iPhone so can't amend list if someone could put me back to CD2?

A bit pee'd off as love swimming but don't want to stuff up innards with tampax or risk infection if uterus still sorting itself out.

I may break my Lenten promise and have a glass of real wine tonight.

Hope everyone else ok?

Xxx

Moofold · 06/03/2010 14:47

Hippy it was me. I never got as dark a second line but am now thinking I might have been over optimistic as there has been no temperature shift. We shall see... Your CM sounds promising though and you were nearly there with the lines too.

Just keen to get back to some semblance of normality. And if it doesn't happen this month I have my CB fertility monitor waiting in the wings for next cycle (which had better not be as bloody long!)

Sarahlou8 · 06/03/2010 15:27

Hi, I just popped over from the Grads page to say how sorry I am barrenbrook, the news has filtered in over there. Take care, thinking of you xx

thefatladyscreams · 06/03/2010 17:27

Oh Barrenbrook - so sorry my sweetie. It just sucks at times and is so unfair. Hope you're taking really good care of yourself and sending you loads of love.

Jollster - what a horrible experience. Does seem an added cruelty that you didn't at least get a choice on how to deal with it. Hope you're doing OK now. As said by someone else on another thread, I'm in awe of what a fantastic mum you are and all the lovely things you've been doing with your DS with all this going on. Hope you're doing OK.

Wishing everyone else well - there always seems to be loads of cakes and chocolate on this thread now! I'm sure I've read a study about the increased effect on fertility of chocolate!!

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 06/03/2010 19:13

I'm sorry Barrenbrook, hope you are being spoilt this weekend.

Cross posted this but I just wanted to say thank you for the support and I have just got a BFP on a digital so I guess it is real! Tentatively happy after the early mc last month and feeling quite cautious but I hope this one wants to stay around.

I am going to practice trying to relax a bit now or I am going to be a mess by 12 weeks.

Gi1da · 06/03/2010 19:22

Evening all. Barrenbrook, so sorry. Utter shiteness. Maitri, hope you have a quiet weekend and all goes well on Monday. Jollster, a big pants wedgie to the nhs for buggering you about! [grrrrr]

Btw do I get a complimentary vino for getting tightie whities into a conference presentation I did today?

Gi1da · 06/03/2010 19:25

Oh Redandyellow good for you sweets! Congrats

BunnyBaby · 06/03/2010 19:45

Congratulations redandyellow what lovely weekend news xxx

Still no AF. Would be more impressed if I hadn't got a BFN on a test earlier (not FMU, but I got a BFP with random mid afternoon wee in both previous pregnancies a couple of days before I was due). Ah well, as long as there's no AF there's hope I suppose .

hippychick66 · 06/03/2010 20:08

congrats to redandyellow - hopefully it will be lovely and cosy in there and decide to hang about for the next 8 months or so.

Here is your wine - hippy hands wine to G1lda - can't imagine how you slipped that into the conversation!!!!

Love to all on this saturday evening.

I am still bleeding!!! Argghh - it's not a lot, but it's enough to need a sani pad and to make me worry that they didn't get everything out during the eprc. did another preg test and definitely neg so surely that means it's all gone - doesn't it???

I am just hoping that once AF arrives she will clear everything out and I can start from scratch. At what point should I ask for a scan to check nothing remains ?? It's been just under 3 weeks since eprc.

Hope everyone is ok - I know it's all pants but hopefully you are all at least feeling supported and loved.

wannabeamum · 06/03/2010 21:38

Big congrats to red! Wow this thread is full of so much news. Hope everyone is ok this eve. I'm still waiting on AF but it's early days yet, trying to stop myself hoping I'm pregnant again, it's hard thou. One thing I do have is unexplained excema (spelling?!) never had it before - I guess I'm more stressed out than I realised. Take it easy all cx

Muser · 06/03/2010 21:50

Congratulations on the BFP redyellow

I wish I could be thinking about cycle days and all that fun. Another blood test on Wednesday to see how my HCG levels are falling. This process takes ages, and then I still have to wait until end of May before we can start trying again!

clareanna · 06/03/2010 21:55

Just popping to say hi- will be lurking for next few weeks as on hols in USA. Have just seen a woman rollerblading in tightie whities whilst pushing a double buggy with twins in- felt slightly inadequate to say the least.
Barrenbrook maitri and jollster so sorry for the rotten time you're having - hope you are all being well looked after.
GLB- loved/cringed at the train story- what a nightmare!!! What bloody luck! Priceless!

Red- congrats on the BFP- fingers crossed for you.

BIG congrats red, have added you to the BFP list, hope you're ok with that.

Clareanna VVVVVV of such a great sounding holiday... hope you have a splendid time!

hippy I have heard that a good bleed is essential for getting everything ready for your next adventure - like a good spring clean (?!). Can empathise with how you're feeling though.

Gi1da love your style. Used to do a lot of inserting secret comedy phrases into corporate comms wherever I could. Miss those days sometimes!

Morning to everyone else.

(Oh and to dispel any supermum rumours, DS1 glued to CBeebies like John Terry to a pretty face....... ha ha actually mispelled that as groin first time - how Freudian...) Catch you all later.

AlbaDeTamble · 07/03/2010 08:46

Isn't CBeebies on a Sunday morning great? Only way I get to catch up!

Barrenbrook I'm really sorry, you've probably been through every emotion this week, but here's to this month being the dress rehearsal and next it will all come right.

Redandyellow, congrats, and best wishes with the next few scary months, wishing you just enough morning sickness to keep your worries at bay and otherwise a boring old time.

Still crossing fingers for all at the top of the list, and for your next set of blood results Muser so you can join the rollercoaster... Similarly for your scan, Jollster.

I'm surprised the days are going by quite fast for me, time to start SWI already (short cycles sometimes a blessing)... And haven't got round to buying BBT thermometer so the extent of my obsessing limited to OPK sticks (cheapies so I can assume them to be telling me whatever I like, they're bound not to work brilliantly)... DH keen to make this month work for us, just hoping our colds don't linger and make it too much like hard work...

Right, better go, toddler with snotty nose and need for breakfast to deal with, then must get going and make the most of this lovely sunshine, wishing lovely sundays for all
