Hello everyone
Sorry I've been absent for a while but working, DS's birthday and unbelievable tiredness has been taking it's toll. ( oh and crap telly and the ongoing saga of finishing our blinds!)

Good to have new people on the thread ? hope you are back soon PFJ and find out what's going on. Having babies is designed to do your head in. Thanks for the mini eggs , they were lovely. Please stick around ? we have all felt like you do now at least once and it does get better.

Gracie thank you so much for the CD ? it arrived today. I don't know if it's blank or not but will let you know! Good to know that Isabelle is keeping you and your washer busy!

MLS I'm with you on the all too perfect Oliver family. But they do give their girls daft names from what I remember. Really good to hear that things are going well with you and that you even have a little bump to be fondled. I do finally look pregnant and am now no longer trying to hide it and am getting lots of surprised comments, especially when they realize that I only have 12 weeks left to
go! Booking in is such a big step ? roll on 15 weeks

Annie lovely to hear from you and about Ellis's teeth ? that seems far too soon!
Sabs Poor little Saara ? sounds like shes getting it bad. You could always try calpol instead of Nurofen ? she might like the flavour more? Also, I used to use the calpol teething gel on a little silicon toothbrush that you can buy on line ? mine used to chew the toothpaste and the gel seemed to help.

Barbie - lovely to hear about your first few days as a mummy ? hope your night out went well and well done on the expressing. Btw, new mums are supposed to cry ? I know you feel really lucky etc but you're also shattered and still recovering from your birth marathon, tears might make you feel a bit better. Bet it will be lovely to be just the three of you tomorrow in your home but bet your mum doesn't want to leave!

4ever - Happy birthday. Hope you had a lovely afternoon tea ? I keep trying to remember the lovely hotel on the green in Wimbledon which is where you probably went but the name is escaping me, except that it begins with C and is something House!! Don't worry about the job ? it's just temporary and soon, you won't have to think about work again for 2 years!

Vjay Happy Half to ajay ? delayed I know! And don't worry about being 33 , however I think I might about 43!

Iggy I can't believe you are at 20 weeks! Fantastic place to be and a lovely bump! I agree that PMA is important for having a baby but think that knowing what is going on is also important, imo?

Mermaid You're back! Hurrah ? the skate park sounded like the best way to spend an evening, not! Hope you're doing ok?

Blue Creme Eggs are under 200 cals ? let me at them! I'm not sure if I told you and Neeko, my fellow Greys addicts, but I have recently managed to get the boxed set of series 4 through Love Film and am working my way slowly through it. It is so good to have my addiction back! BTW, what do you think of the Close sling now? I'm really keen to try one but the price is a bit

Cupcake Hope the theatre was lovely ? enjoy before babba arrives as after, it becomes a military operation to even get to the post office! My brother and SIL are going next week and I've agreed to babysit their 1 and 4 year olds. SIL is a bit concerned that the 1 year old might not go to sleep for me as they need to leave so early. Bit concerned myself but not letting on!
Hope your back isn't kicking off again and really pleased that you have a home and will be moving in and nesting in 3 weeks!

Neeko How much nesting are you doing? Could you come and do my house after please? Sorry to hear about your friends mum ? hope you and your friend get through Saturday OK. Good to hear about your pampering appts ? I managed to get my hair cut and lashes tinted before DD arrived but managed none with ds as he was so early.

BakingQueen You and your pole dancing! Sounds like it was a lot of fun and just what the doctor ordered. And yes, you will, most definetly graduate one day soon

And I've now gone back 8 pages of messages and need to get off the computer and feed me and DH.
Ad I have such a decision to make ? should I finish some work on my laptop or watch an episode of Greys??? Ummmmm let me think for a minute.....

Neeko · 04/03/2010 20:58

Evening all and sad welcomes to PFJ Hope you got a happy outcome at hospital, but either way stay with us and we'll look after you. Sadly I don't think there's much to do with TTC/MC/pregnancy that one of us hasn't experienced.

4ever oops. Knew I'd forget Hope you've had a great day.

Big hugs to all out very tired mummys. Sending sleepy vibes to your cheeky and very loveable los. Sabs Ashton and Parson teething powders always worked like a charm for DD, also Bikkiepegs (though Saara might be a little smell yet and they made me want to boak! )

Blue Pains just the same so prob in for weeks of this Had a huge surge of energy yesterday and cleaned everything in sight but exhausted today. I guess i'll just have to be patient.

Special big waves to the lovely mermaid Glad to see you survived the coffee!

Neeko · 04/03/2010 21:02

LBM complete no-brainer even for a pregnant woman with no brain - WATCH GREY'S!

MummyLovesSadie · 04/03/2010 21:06

Neeko you just called Saara a little smell.... how rude!

Neeko · 04/03/2010 21:14

SMALL Huge apologies. can't type and watch Grey's. MLS Just emailed you.

GracieGirl · 05/03/2010 07:52

DH's night shifts are over! yippee! He'll be home in 2 hours. I'm knackered! He's back on nights again on monday, but thats next week so not worrying about that just yet.

I hope PFJ is doing ok.

MummyLovesSadie · 05/03/2010 08:09

GG it's tough isn't it? It feels like life will never get back to normal & you will never get more than three hours sleep in one go. I remember constantly looking at my watch & thinking "Arrgghhh still six hours until dh gets home"!

Been thinking about PFJ too.

barbie1 · 05/03/2010 09:36

Good morning girls...

Dh is bottle feeding Devon so i have the use of both hands...finally! Still sticking to breast feeding but every now and again dh is enjoying feeding her my breast milk.

pfJ welcome to this lovely thread, sorry for the reasons behind you having to visit us in the first place. I hope you are ok and are out of hospital with some answers, whatever the outcome we have all been there and can help you, hold your hand and share your mini eggs with you.....

gg dh goes back to work on sunday, not sure what to expect! To be honest as she is still cluster feeding im sure it will be a day on the sofa, feeding, sleeping, changing and more feeding!

lbm im sure im allowed to have tears but some how it doesnt seem right i have wanted to have her for so long i really dont feel i have the right to be upset...Im much better now though. I have weaned myself of the painkillers and thankfully the headaches are manageable and im not getting much pain at all from the c section. In fact i have been out for the past two night and feel almost human...i doubt i look too good though

mls hope you are still feeling crappy...in the nicest way possible!

My parents have gone, part of me is relieved and the other part is missing them like crazy already. I felt such a bad person as they left yesterday, im depriving them of there grandchild i cried bucket loads when they left...and felt so guilty that i didnt sleep. She will be about 9 weeks when they next see her, my mum was beside herself when she had the last cuddle and had to say goodbye...

Hope you all have a good weekend, will pop back to see how you all are xxx

mermaidspurse · 05/03/2010 10:41

ahhh barbie dear of you so many emotions in a such a short time. Honestly it is utterly text book to have a good howl, I would be more worried if you didn't to be honest
They don't call it the baby blues for nothing you know.
Enjoy the weekend just being 3 again and then make a very comfy nest on the sofa and go with the flow.xx

can you all do a hurry up af dance for me please? I am now 6 WHOLE days late 3 bfn done feel very all the time with the same odd pains.
Obviously I dont want to be up the duff at the moment, absolutely sure I am not couldn't get an appointment yesterday or today. I am never late, ever. More stomps.Went to the gym to see if a good gossipworkout would help anyhoo I'll go stomp round my filing cabinet.

mermaidspurse · 05/03/2010 10:42

mermaid please go to the drs. There done it for yers!

Neeko · 05/03/2010 11:27

Hi all.
Mermaid I've already texted you to hassle convince you!

Barbie you've coped with so much in the past few weeks so indulge yourself with a few tears - they can be called grateful ones if it helps. Enjoy this weekend as a family of 3.

Gracie Well done. You survived your solo flight. It'll get easier from here on in. Hope you enjoy the weekend too.

DD has a sickness bug Started being sick at 9.45 last night and was sick 14 times between then and 9.15 this morning. She is thankfully sleeping now and hopefully over the worst of it. Think DH and I shared 2 hours of sleep last night so I can empathise with our new mums. I'm scared to sleep now as she was sick while sleeping several times. Ah, the joys.

Take care all and have a good weekend.

cupcakefairy · 05/03/2010 12:17

Eek Neeko that sounds horrible your poor dd hope she improves today.

Blue (and Neeko and LBM!) I have finished s1 of Grey's (cried loads at the Christina storyline ) but my friend has lent s2 to another friend, argh! So it's back to Dawson's Creek for me for a while... I saw loads of trailers for Grey's a few years ago with Chasing Cars over them so it already reminds me of it! I'm looking forward to the ep when Kendall Payne's song is used (a scene with Meredith crying about her Mum to McDreamy, don't know if you remember...I've watched it online cos I'm a big Kendall Payne fan and her song being used in Grey's made her huge )
Thanks for the tip re the sling; I will have to borrow a doll or something to try and get the hang of it and avoid meltdowns

Iggy glad someone is riding your horse; hope you're not missing him too much but think it's v sensible not to overdo it.

Barbie wow, well done supermum..expressing, going out, entertaining and not even crying you sound like you're doing amazingly.

Sabs sorry to hear about poor little Saara's troubles...hope you find something to soothe her soon.

4ever how was the tea?? Hope you both had a lovely day

LBM hello I got my Close sling on ebay for around £30...there are loads on there! Thanks re my back, I think it was just a temporary scare as no more twinges yet but I'm back bouncing on my ball!

mermaid hope af arrives soon...why do bodies have to be so frustrating!

Welcome to PFJ and really hope you're ok. Glad MLS has finally managed to drag a new recruit over here

I had midwife yesterday, a different one YET AGAIN. Guess I should get used to it as we're moving across town soon too. Baby is now lying across, v strong heartbeat and active as ever. Midwife stuck both my arms trying to get blood though and it really hurt massive bruise now. Meh.

Anyway, happy weekends to you all; we're off to my parents so prob won't be online.

MrsKate · 05/03/2010 12:23

hi all

i am very very proud of my DH he has finished the nursery i love it love it sooo much il try and put pics up later

VJay · 05/03/2010 17:08

Afternoon y'all, and a big welcome to pfj hope you are ok, and don't listen to mermaid I won't pinch all your minieggs, on a more serious note, I hope you stick around here because one way or another we've all been through and are all at different stages of TTC and mc's etc, we all support each other and it's nice to know we are all here, plus we all love minieggs. I will try and find that photo that started all this off I had a look at your profile and love the pics, plus you are doing well for being 332!

mermaid for you, 3 bfn and late, only time will tell. Wouldn't it be nice to have a tellytubby window into our tummies so we could see what was going on.

blue I too read jools book and rather enjoyed it

Lol at neeko calling wee Saara a smell, trust mls to notice . Also for your poor dd, the hv visited earlier and said this sick bug is horrendus at the moment, and to avoid doctors waiting rooms and other places like that if poss.

barbie have a good cry sweetie, as the others have said it's totally normal. I cried buckets after having both boys, not because I was sad just because I needed to. As for feeling guilty about family not seeing her, I feel like that too, but I always do a mass email about once a month with lots of pictures to update all my family and friends.

mrskate look forward to seeing the nursery, and big gold star to mrkate for finishing it on time

gracie how've you got on today?

VJay · 05/03/2010 17:14

Just checking to see if the mini egg picture is on

4everhopeful · 05/03/2010 18:52

Hey ladies! Just a quick one I am soooooooo shattered!

Welcome PFJ hope the hospital are sorting you out now, sorry you are going through that trauma - these girls will remind you how to smile when you're out the worst of it..

Mermaid to your strange cycle - get to that blummin golf course & demand some instant attention lady..

Gracie thank you so much for the CD! It arrived on my birthday clutched by grinning postie and a big pile of cards for me! Made me feel all important!

Yes, LBM you know the place I had my birthday afternoon tea! Canizarro House in Wimbledon! Just gorgeous place, we wanted to spend our wedding night there but as Wimbledon tennis was on it was all booked as thats where the players stay! We got a call on eve of wedding to say that Maria Sharapova had been knocked out so we could of had her room but by that point we were all booked in to Richmond gate!

Thanks all for the lovely texts and birthday greetings yesterday! I did indeed get royally spoilt! DH got me an eternity ring with 7 diamonds! (we got married 07/07/07 ) He got me flowers, chocs, some more Sanctuary Mum to be stuff as my supplies are dwindling, a birthing ball , Alicia Keys Cd, but the absolute heart melter (as well as ring) was gift from bubba, I have one of those silver links charm bracelets from MIL and he brought 2 charms from bubba - a little gift box, and a little square that says 'I heart mum' !!!! It was soooo lovely of him! Had wonderful days, mum, MIL, SIL & niece, and BF & DD came at lunchtime also bearing gifts, then DH & I mosied off for our afternoon tea at Canizarro House, finger sandwiches, scones jam & cream, cakes and 2 pots of tea, all eaten very leisuerly over a couple of hours in their exquisitely comfortable lounge chairs, while I melted some more at 5 new mummies out to lunch with their adorable little 6wk new bundles that DH & I just gawped at! It was a lovely day, weather and all, but was soo knackered in bed by 9pm, but then proceeded to have such horrific heartburn I was awake til 12am & kept having to sit on edge of bed & pace room while DH snoozed! I now have some Gaviscon prescribd by doc, has been getting progressively worse over last week or so, Im told it means bubba has lots of hair!

Today I had my big HR meeting at work (on 5hrs sleep!) to discuss my reundancy/maternity package and was quite pleasing! Hadnt taken into account a 12wk notice period they will also be paying me! Felt a little final , and strange at the same time, also scary in that I was praying that bubba will be ok and it all works out, cos almost too good to be true really so just pray that all stays well & this is actually a blessing in disguise! Had half day & was gonna order pram but the 200 discount was only actually 100 and the manager was tied up with another cudtomer, DH had to go back to lates this evening, and we still had food shop so left it til we have more time to get best deal..

I am now shattered, and aching beyond belief, my SPD is killing, doc says there is walk in physio classes at hosp that midwives can tell me about & didnt even get to phone today but have ante natal next week & will def get on the case, my shoulders also on fire (prev ongoing old whiplash injury that recurs) my ankles are ballooning and my ribs are aching, think she might be turning, she was head down at last scan.. However I am rejoicing in the fact that today I have entered the 3rd trimester! I cant quite believe it! DH & I both agree tho that it feels like about 2yrs since BFP!

Anyway sorry for me post & lack of personals, Im a bit delirious and just rambling away so I shall retire to my sofa, I can hear it shouting my name, I fear I may not get off (apart from bed & back again) til monday morning! I have a pack of 6 creme eggs, plus mini eggs and mini creme eggs to see me through, they have been part of weekly shop for about 5 weeks now! YUM!

Love y'all and if I dont get back on for a few days, have lovley chilled weekends and hope all the saggy panters get some sleep, the big panters arent aching too bad & achieve all they need to do! The medium panters stay chilled, and the small panters have lots of sex, wine, chocolate, cheese and an imminent batch of BFPs! x x x x x

4everhopeful · 05/03/2010 19:52

On sofa on pho, I need some advice please?! The chemist gave me gaviscon in plain bottle, no box or instruction leaflet? Sticker says 'take as directed by your doc' but my doc didnt direct me! It was a phone consultation & i just requested it.. (along with more thrush cream!) Iv never used gaviscon before & like to read the leaflet of whatever im taking? Can anyone advise when & how often i should take it please?! X

littlebellsmum · 05/03/2010 20:05

4ever - this isn't techincal but a glug when you need it would be my advice! The tablets say take 2-4 tabs up to 4 times a day but I've never had the liquid

bluesatinsash · 05/03/2010 20:17

4ever your birthday sounded just the BEST and then some !! A diamond ring - wow and the charms for your bracelet ! Your DH should be cloned . Glad your work meeintg went well too.

re: Gaviscon - I am an expert at taking it and in both cases yes it did mean baby had lots of hair . You can't overdose on it (unless you drink the whoole bottle in a one)r. I think they say one tablespoon every few hours but to be honest my heartburn was so bad I cut out the middle man and drank it straight from the bottle, just one gulp probably equivalent to a tablespoon . Just take it as and when you feel the rising acid - I sympathise but like SPD it does vanish when baby arrives .

Neeko - so sorry to hear your DD was so sick - 14 times, the wee scone. Hope she sleeps it off and you and your DH get some kip tonight too.

LBM - good to hear from you. did you opt for Grey's then last night? Close sling is fab, v. easy to use and really comfy for you and baby - Ben calms instantly when put in it .

cupcake - can't thinkwhat song you mean, what's the title and I'll youtube it.

mermaid - and for you. Demand an appointment now!

barbie - yes crying is a must I still do it back and forward and its very cathartic. Don't try and do too much just potter and savour those days lying on the couch feeding Devon.

Big hey's to everyone else. Off to watch Grey's taped from last night and enjoy my one glass of wine and masses of chocolate (bounty bar and Fry's plain chocolate cream). Totally knackered today, Ben fed at 10.30pm/12am/2am/4am/5am and woke at 6.15am and has fed every two hours today - a 10 week growth spurt ? Good job my nipples are tough as old boots these days .

Happy weekend everyone x
