Happy birthday 4ever, hope you have a very nice posh day

Very sleepy VJay here today, AJay was up a lot last night, now he is sleeping , so I'm trying to study with matchsticks holding my eyes open zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

barbie1 · 04/03/2010 12:36

Happy Birthday 4ever hope you have a fab day....

Devon is finally asleep! After a full day of feeding yesterday we got her to sleep for 5 hours straight last night and another sleep this morning....and as a bonus she is asleep again now.

Finally managed to express a full bottle of milk so as its my parents last night here we are all going out for a meal and hopefully will be able to keep Devon happy at the same time.

Cant believe its time for the parents to go home already Although it will be nice to just be the three of us and under no stress to entertain etc.

I nearly had a melt down yesterday, with lack of sleep and a crying baby for hours and then conflicting advice on how to feed her and my mum also trying to help, it all got a little too much and i had to retreat to my bedroom where i had to pinch my eyes shut to stop them from crying however it soon passed and no tears where shed, im extremly lucky to have a baby and im going to make the ost of it all....all of you on this thread remind me of this daily so thankyou.

Right she is awake again so must go, will catch up probably soon, i promise!

Oh and my mum bought out 6 creme eggs i did reluctently share them though x

Happy birthday 4ever hope you're having a lovely day

Another tired mum here. We think Saara's teething. She has a cold, a temperature, drooling and doing this grimacing thing with her mouth. Have been using teething gels and brought these great teething rings made by MAM at the baby show. She's crying lots in her sleep and just wants to be cuddled, so we had her in our bed last night (dont tell my mum!) She's also off her milk Have given her some neurofen but she spat most of it out.

Any tips/advice/knowledge from anyone? I don't need to take her to the doctors do I? Is a cold ane temp common when teething?

Sorry for the me post again. Also typing with 1 hand so apologies for poor spelling/grammar

MummyLovesSadie · 04/03/2010 13:32

Happy birthday 4ever. Sabs you need to get those little magic sachets of powder called Nelsons teething Granules. You can get them in Boots & Sainsbury's, they have worked brilliantly for everyone I know who has used them. Yes teething can cause, fever, acne (because of all the dribbling) & even diarrhea. When she was teething, my little dd used to gurn so badly that she could get her bottom lip to touch her nose & looked like a little old woman!

Barbie you sound like you are coping brilliantly.

Gracie thank you for the cd's, I've downloaded them onto my iPod & will have a listen tonight.

Neeko any more downwards movement/pain?

Another short one from me I'm afraid. My next-door-neighbour took dd out this morning & instead of cleaning I slept & now dd is having her quiet time watching Wallace & Gromit & I can feel my eyes closing again! Oh I had my first bump-fondle from someone this morning, I've not put on a pound but my tummy sticks out as far as my boobs now. I think she was disappointed that it felt more like a jelly than a nice firm pregnancy tum!

anniebigpants · 04/03/2010 15:03

Hello lovelies, just on quickly while little man is having a snooze in his pram, in the lovely sunshine we have up here today.
Im another mummy with a teething babba, Ellis is cutting his two lower front teeth already , the tip of the lower left has broken through the surface, the other tooth wont be long coming through, i can feel its nearly there. Needless to say im not getting much sleep, hes not a great sleeper anyway, so add teething in to the equations , never mind, i,ll get a full nights sleep eventually, it may not be for the next 10 years, but it will be eventually

Happy birthday 4ever

Must fly, hes awake and screaming....

MummyLovesSadie · 04/03/2010 17:06

OH MY GOD! Jules & Jamie Oliver are expecting their 4th baby in Sept. How is that fair?

Yes I am jealous.

ThePFJ · 04/03/2010 17:28

Hello everyone.

My name is ThePFJ and I seem to be undergoing my first MC at the moment. I am 32 and I already have a little boy of nearly two, that was my first PG and it was all fine.

Was diagnosed possible threatened MC/ectopic/early pregnancy (4 weeks or less instead of my very exact 6 weeks from LMP) 2 days ago.

Hormone levels have since then only gone up by 76 which I am told is very low. Am bleeding again today, am in absolute horrible pain and I feel like just ripping out my woman parts and having done with the whole being a woman thing!
Am sure I'll feel differently tommorrow.

The worst thing is the hospital doctor just rang me to say RELAX. And for me to take another PG test in 3 weeks just in case....
How I am going to relax??? Apart from scoffing mini-eggs and twitching in front of my favourite comedies??

Anyone been through this with tiny rises in hcg here and actually gone on to have a baby?

I am NOT hopeful. I think this PG isnt going to happen.... Of course I want it to...

Listen to me going on and on. If you are bored of me already blame MummyLovesSadie. SHE sent me here from the ante-natal thread. (Points accusingly). She said you were all lovely though. So you can share my mini-eggs.

XXXX

mermaidspurse · 04/03/2010 18:02

sad hello pfj I have in previous desperate searches I did come across quite a few women with zilch hcg levels go onto have bouncing babies.
I would 'relax' eat those eggs, but watch out for vjay and try not to go rushing around, hard with a todler I know.

I am going to keep everything crossed for you while sneaking your mini eggs when you are not looking.

mls I am going to abandon my Nigel Slater books and start using jamie recipes
I never took you to be a lady whose glass was only half full though.

ThePFJ · 04/03/2010 18:46

will this horrible horrible horrible pain in my wossnames ever stop????? How long does this last? I bet its different for everyone.. please dont tell me I could be going through this for weeks... I have no idea... this has NEVER happened to me before....

MummyLovesSadie · 04/03/2010 18:52

Hello PFJ I'm glad you made it over here. Not so glad of the reason you had to join us though. Did they give you anything for the pain at the hospital? I always find vodka works a treat... Like Mermaid I have had many previous desperate last-ditch searches over the last year & found some good outcomes but alas not for me.

Mermaid, young attractive couple, massive house, loads of money, three beautiful daughters & another on the way - what's not to be envious of?! Actually no, I wouldn't want all of that if it meant being married to Jamie Oliver! He's said on record that he really wants a boy...... I hope they have another girl.

MummyLovesSadie · 04/03/2010 18:55

Does it feel like contractions? In my experience the pain has been really bad before passing a clot. I hope they gave you some drugs. The only thing I can suggest is Nurofen & Paracetamol together.

ditzzy · 04/03/2010 18:57

PFJ - hope you remember who I am! I'll send you a grin on skype

(sorry for hijack)

ThePFJ · 04/03/2010 19:09

Do you all think now is the time NOT TO CARE about maybe a tiny bit being pregnant maybe (tiny chance) and just take whatever pain pills I have here at home??? I have tramadol

Cos I want to....

GracieGirl · 04/03/2010 19:12

Hello PFJ, I'm sorry you've had to join our thread, but you'll be well looked after here. We've all been there, and no one leaves this thread till we all have bouncing babies! Paracetamol is good, and neurofen only if its a definate miscarriage, as its not safe in pregnancy. I never had bloods taken when I had my miscarriage (it was found at 10 week scan)so can't be much help on that front. Didn't Barbie have very low HCG levels to start with, and now has a gorgeous baby girl?

GracieGirl · 04/03/2010 19:14

Sorry cross post PFJ - I'll just check on Tramadol for you, back in a sec.

GracieGirl · 04/03/2010 19:15

"tramadol - embryotoxic in animal studies, advise to avoid in pregnancy"

MummyLovesSadie · 04/03/2010 19:16

PFJ, Gracie is an actual real nurse!

GracieGirl · 04/03/2010 19:18

I can't believe you've been advised to just do another pregnancy test in 3 weeks, are they trying to send you crazy????????

GracieGirl · 04/03/2010 19:28

Evening MLS!

GracieGirl · 04/03/2010 19:31

MLS means I used to be a real nurse but now my brain has stopped working!! Sleep deprived having given birth 1 year and 3 days after my miscarriage.

ditzzy · 04/03/2010 19:42

Quick update from thepfj - she's just called the hospital due to the suspiciously localised pain getting worse. They've asked her to call for an ambulance to come straight in. I'll keep you all updated.

GracieGirl · 04/03/2010 19:46

thanks for the update Ditzzy. Thinking of you PFJ.

GracieGirl · 04/03/2010 19:58

I've just answered the door to a man delivering my baby stuff from boots.com carrying Isabelle and she vomitted down my top whilst I was trying to sign for the parcel!

MummyLovesSadie · 04/03/2010 20:02

Hope you get sorted quickly at hospital PFJ & thanks for letting us know Ditzzy. Gracie you'll have to have to write that latest vomming incident in a little book of embarrassing things to tell Isabelle when she is older!

bluesatinsash · 04/03/2010 20:34

ThePFJ welcome and fingers tightly crossed. Hopefully you will know one way or the other by now but please stick with us, we're all a bit windswept and interesting but funny ha ha not funny strange

Gracie DH went to work with baby sick on his shirt shoulder - pointed out by kind colleague .

MLS - I remember reading interview with Jools in 'Red' over summer and she wanted another so Petal (crikey how do I know all their names ) would have a playmate. Can't believe Jamie is saying he wants a boy - doofus! Also can't believe I'm typing about them although do have soft spot for Jools having read her 'minus nine to one' book when pg with DS1 and re-reading the page when she was bleeding with Diasy as I had early bleed with DS1...

4ever - happy birthday again girl!

Sorry so many of us are dog tired at the moment, its a killer but as Annie says it does pass (please God, sometime soon). Barbie - what conflicting advice are you getting re: feeding? Well done you for expressing a whole bottle at only 10 days in - Cherist I could only manage about 2 oz at 4 weeks!
