Vjay I'm gving you a stern look and once again going to tell you to stop putting yourself down!

Sabs Lovely to hear from yiu and so sorry to hear about your loss. I hope you can take comfort in your family at this time.
Saara is doing well.Excema is fairly common in babies of her age and will hopefully pass. When you start weaning watch out for tomatoes, strawberries and citrus fruits as they can trigger it so introduce them independently.

Iggy Huge milestone. Congratulations!

BQ So glad you enjoyed the pole dancing. Had a smile to read you couldn't stop laughing after the hard months you've had. Exercise and therapy combined can't be bad. Good luck with the exams.

Speaking of exams Vjay how's the studying going?

No change here. Suspect I'm in for a few weeks of this The pads for my TENS machine came today and I've managed to cross a few more things off the to do list. Have booked into the hairdresser on Thursday (to celebrate 4ever's birthday ) and for a pedicure on Saturday. Have also made a lot of plans for next week in the hope that I won't manage them! [grin}

4everhopeful · 02/03/2010 19:55

Neeko glad ur still with us & hoping law of sod comes into play now u have made lots of apts! ....Sabs really sorry to hear ur sad news about ur great uncle & imam Poor lil Saara too...... Mls lookin forward to hearing how ur booking in went, i remember what a massive milestone/hurdle that is, well done u! .....Talking of milestones, yay & to 20 wks Iggy! ......Baking i echo how lovely to hear u had such a laugh pole dancing! Ouch to the bruises tho, my pole dancing ex bf swore by arnica .....
Big waves to Vjay - got any more cake?! .....Barbie if ur lurking, i know u told me lots, but when did u have that 4d scan again? We booked a few wks back for next sat 13th at 28wks, just spoke to clinic to conf time, & they just told us 27wks can be best despite sayin 28wks was ok when we orig booked?
.... Have enjoyed no work & chillin today, bubs def prefers it too, has been super active which is lovely & reassuring! Lookin forward to One born every minute later! Me & Dh get really excited about it & love it! Countin minutes til hes back from work....

MummyLovesSadie · 02/03/2010 20:27

Neeko I think we all have a pedicure when we are near our due date don't we?! Where did you get your tens pads from? I need some new ones for mine as I seem to remember that when I packed them away (on the 4th Oct 2007!) that they might have had a lot of bit of blood on them! Glad you are still with us, remember keep 'em crossed until the end of the month!

Vjay my booking-in appointment went very well thank you. I had two lovely midwives & my next mw appointment is booked along with an appointment to see my lovely specialist when I'm 15 weeks. No Neeko I didn't cry!

BQ I like the sound of your pole dancing. It sounds like it's going to have a positive physical & mental effect - once you get rid of the bruises that is!

Sabs it's such a shame when your perfect little baby gets a horrid skin rash. My dd had bad baby acne & one of my friends baby's had the worst cradle-cap I've ever seen, right down to his chin. Have you tried Sudocreme? It really is magic stuff for all sorts of skin ailments.

Iggy Yay for being 20 weeks & having massive norks!

4ever I totally agree with what you say about getting all the tests you can possible have done first. The only problem is that there are some things that neither the NHS or private healthcare would test for, such as kidney deficiency which is what I've been told by my acupuncturist that has been causing the miscarriages. That is apparently a big cause of miscarriage. I wish I could remember what she said about NK cells as she mentioned them yesterday, & said there has been an article about it in one of the Sunday papers - I told her about you & your treatment.

Well I'm nearly ready for my bed & it's only 8.20, I feel like I can't go to bed early enough at the moment.

Hope anyone who is lurking is ok, waves & whispers to the small panters. Special mention to my fellow medium panter Monkey, please let us know you are ok.

MummyLovesSadie · 02/03/2010 20:33

Thanks 4ever for reminding me - will now have to wait until after one born every minute to go to bed!

Neeko · 02/03/2010 20:34

Hi MLS I just ordered them from Amazon and they were less than £4. You should get them now while you remember. BTW much as I love you and want to make you happy I'll not be trying to stop my labour for you!

4ever Enjoy 'One born' snuggled up to your DH. I'll be watching too.

4everhopeful · 03/03/2010 07:58

Just popping in quickly before work - Vjay thought of you and DS1 as there is stuff about a new autism care system all over the BBC news today...

MLS glad to hear the booking went well and they are taking care of you.. Hop you know I do totally support the acupuncture and know it is whats making a difference for you, especially with the diagnosis of your kidney probs.. Just as you say, some recurrent mc causes can be cured medically with aspirin, steroids for NK cells etc.. Thanks for mentioning me to your acupuncturist, Iv seen lots in the press about the lady that had 18mc and had NK cells, lots of family & friends have called asking if thats what we had, however its not! I had LIT treatment (Lynphocyte Immunotherapy Treatment) for not creating leukocyte antibodies (that protect pregnancy) to DH DNA/blood. The treatment is only done at the Portland in the UK and involved me having DH whiteblood cells injected into me, its all quite pioneering and radical! Also expensive, we spent #2800, if i was NK we could of got steroids! There is a LINK HERE if you are interested, it was both MN and the mail article that prompted me to look into it, thank god I did! MN LINK

Mermaid if you are lurking I also found this LINK! There is hope lady - please chase that damn golfer up!

iggypiggy · 03/03/2010 09:52

Morning all!

I don't know how any of you can watch one born every minute - I am steering well clear of that!

MLS glad your booking in went well - so exciting

Sabs sorry to hear your sad news
also can't believe Saara is 5 months already

vjay a belated happy half to ajay

4ever glad you had some time chilling! Is def good for you!

neeko sounds good that you booked some pampering appts

Looking forward to reading barbie's birth story too!

A quick wave to moon jools and baking and I have everything crossed that we will have some BFPs soon x

And another wave to everyone else xxx

iggypiggy · 03/03/2010 09:52

ps. I put pic of bump up today.

4everhopeful · 03/03/2010 10:36

Awww bless your bump Iggy!!! Its sooo neat & cute! Im huuuger by the day! Love 'One Born..' Its all about getting as much knowledge as poss for us! We bawled our eyes out last night when the IVF lady had her babs, I think I cry every week when each baby is actually born!

Im waiting on my egg & bacon muffin at work internet cafe. Today I get rained on mundane job I will do til I leave in 6 wks or so, just cut & pasting to a spreadsheet! Felt emotional doing final handover of old work over recent days, used to love my prev job, was an expert in field, did seminars & masterclasses & press articles, had all our old member contacts telling me 'you CANT' go..!' Really nice, but very too...

4everhopeful · 03/03/2010 10:37

trained even!

iggypiggy · 03/03/2010 10:49

4ever It doesn't feel neat! It feel huge! ha ha...

I can't watch one born cos I reason it will show both good and bad experinces and I really need a PMA for giving birth - so am thinking positive thoughts! Do understand why you would watch - just think it would freak me out!

Not surprised you feeling emotional about job changes - but I think that will pale into insignificance with the other life change you going to have soon

barbie1 · 03/03/2010 14:03

Sorry for not bein around so much my lovelies.....baby + parents = no time for barbie!

Im reading and keeping up to date with you all, willing the small pants to become medium pants and the medium pants to move up to the big pants...and neeko to pop!

My birth story is well on its way and you will have it by the weekend, its not that good though

Devon is back to cluster feeding, starting yesterday at 2pm and still going now cant believe the poor little mite isnt asleep by now, i think we have both had about 4 hours in the last 24 hours, both of us are shattered!

We had her first doctors appt yesterday, she is just a shade under her birth weight but has grown 3cm in a week the doctor is happy with her and told me to expect her to be a little fidgety (under statment of the year!) for the next few days as she is experiencing a growth spurt.

We are coping though, she is just too cute to not love everything about being a mummy....

iggy well done for 20 weeks!

sabs sorry to hear about your uncle

mls you sound calm still....still so happy for you

mermaid totally understand the need to have a break from here, i hope you are ok and im sure you know how much we all love and miss you in your absence....as with jools moon and bq bq pole dancing sounds so much fun, i was going to have a go before we moved here but never got around to it, obviously there is no where to do it over here!

4ever i had my scan at 28 weeks, they told me the best time was between 27 and 28 weeks, also i think i said before drink only water for the week before as they get a much clearer picture....

Oh dear i have to get my boobies out again for the little miss....

I promise i will be back to normal next week with regular postings, until then im thinking of you all lots and im missing our regualar talks xxx

VJay · 03/03/2010 14:11

Afternoon lovelies

4ever thanks for thinking of me and ds1. There is new stuff going on in England at the mo. re autism, the Autism Act 2009 was passed last year and there is more raising of awareness for adults with ASD. In Scotland there is a campaign for a Scottish Autism Bill to be put through.
Also it's 'World Autism Awareness Day' on 2nd April, but don't worry I will remind you all nearer the time , just be aware

neeko don't worry no more put me downs from me, you have a very scary stern face , we need a stern face 'smiley' for neeko

So glad your booking in appt went well mls and that you have such nice mw's, makes all the difference doesn't it . Roll on 15 weeks and your next appt.

iggy that's a lovely bump

Right off the read 4evers links

VJay · 03/03/2010 14:14

Hiya barbie, just remember when it gets hard that this stage doesn't last long. I actually miss those early days, hard though they were, but it was a real bonding time

Neeko · 03/03/2010 14:15

Hi. Have just done a big housework blitz including cleaning all the downstairs windows on the outside and mopping floors, so rewarding myself with some MN time.

Iggy Lovely bump pic and I agree you're nice and neat. I'll really have to try and post one soon.

4ever that you're no longer doing job you love but at least new one is less stressful and is only for a few weeks. In case I forget, I hope you have a lovely birthday. Just think, next year you'll get a mummy card from your little girl!

Barbie know you're probably just busy with your gorgeous daughter, but let us know you're ok, please. I'm a bit worried about you since you felt so unwell last night.

I've had to postpone my pedi as my friend's mum's funeral is on Saturday. Really hope I can hold it together. My mum is coming too as she knew her well but I also suspect she's doesn't trust me not to fall apart. Bloody hormones.

Love to all. Off to lurk on some other threads just for nosiness sake.

Neeko · 03/03/2010 14:19

x-post with Vjay and Barbie Barbie you must have read my mind Enjoy being fussed over by family and all the lovely bonding with your gorgeous girl. BTW "pop" makes it sound so easy

Vjay I'm glad we've finally got that sorted but I'll be watching for any self-put downs in the subtext

barbie1 · 03/03/2010 14:31

Sorry for making you worry about me neeko to be honest im so tired that i havent really paid much attention to myself over the last 24 hours, im still on my regular cocktail of drugs so im coping....
My stitches have started to pull a little bit over the past few hours, but could be just that im so tired that im noticing it

And yes...pop does make it sound easy! if only it was like that!

Neeko · 03/03/2010 14:36

Oh Barbie Drugs at this stage are good so keep taking them. It takes a while but I promise that you'll start to feel more like "you" soon and less like you've been boxing. Take care, put your feet up and rest, rest, rest.

cupcakefairy · 03/03/2010 16:58

Hello girls

iggy loving the bump pic! And to you being 20 weeks already. It really does fly. Is your poor horse still feeling neglected or are you able to ride him now (very gently!)
As for One Born.. as you know I felt the same as you but we dared to watch the whole thing last night and so glad I did cos actually they weren't bad births... so far I'd only seen horrible looking traumatic ones but this seemed like something I could do.
I cried at both births too 4ever I even said to dh about that Thai lady that that's what it'll be like for you and dh- having waited so long and then finally getting to meet your little girl will just be amazing
It's teenage girls next week though so not sure I will be able to watch that they just look like children themselves.

barbie good to hear from you and well done Devon on the growth spurt! Another gold-top lady there

Vjay we're hoping to move within the next 3 weeks, so just need to start packing now!!

Baking more pole dancing stories please, sound hilarious

sabs so sorry for your loss love to you and all the family x

MLS big cheer for the booking in appointment so pleased it went well.

Neeko you bet about the bump touching! I saw my big sis and her boyfriend on Sunday and she got so excited about feeling a kick and made her boyfriend feel it too, so I had a moment of the two of them and dh all just touching and staring at my tummy she was so squealy...so I'll expect more of that this weekend! Actually Titch has been making me really uncomfortable today with awkward movements.

I am worried as twinges have started in my right side now just like how the sciatica started in my left side before I know I've been working way too hard this week and standing for too long so need to rest up! Off to the theatre tonight though, dahling!

Got my Close baby carrier in the post yesterday and laughed at dh trying to work it out

I'm sure I had more to say but have to dash... lots of love to all, especially Moon if you are reading x

4everhopeful · 03/03/2010 18:48

Cupcake bless u thinkin of me with the thai lady on 'one born..' must admit it really touched us for that exact reason, & my 'crying' was actually more like full blown choking sobbing! .....Enjoy the theatre dahling! We are joining the hoi poloi tomorrow too, DH taking me too a posh hotel in wimbledon village, for afternoon tea for my birthday! Shall be enjoy being lavished with attention & pretending too be posh!

GracieGirl · 03/03/2010 19:20

Evening all, DH on nights for rest of the week so I'm flying solo! Even my Mum is away for a few days.

Isabelle enjoyed her trip out to the post office today so hopefully you should all be receiving your CDs tomorrow. I did remember on way home from the post office that I forgot to test the 2nd half of the CDs to check they copied properly, so if anyone's got a blank one just let me know!

We've been out today to visit my friend who had twins 2 weeks ago - so cute and tiny! But how on earth would I cope with twins??!!! It takes about 4 hours to get just me and Isabelle out of the front door!

bluesatinsash · 03/03/2010 21:05

Evening girls,

Just passing through on my way to cuppa and creme egg (cupcake - clarification they are 156 not 132 calories )still much better than the mars bars I was stuffing my face with before.

Gracie - great to hear you and Isabelle had a wee dander today . Good luck with flying solo - you'll be great.

4ever - I thought of you too last night with some of the things Joy was saying. I thought they were a lovely couple, bickering with each other but lots of warmth and love and their wee girl was just to die for . That will be you soon . Sorry you had a day pasisng the last of your work over, they are going to miss your expertise big style. Maybe you could go back as an ad hoc consultant and charge mega bucks? You are so thoughtful posting all the links you are so cued up on everything! Know you had to be and probably wish you didn't have to be IYKWIM but it reaped rewards didn't it

Iggy - loving the bump picture, v. sleek in your black dress missy .

Vjay - I see you posted on the 'two boys and fab' thread - it was great wasn't it! Will be awaiting National Autism Awareness week with interest.

Barbie - well done you for even managing to post with Devona dn your family all there. You're in good company re: knackered and feeding all the time. Ben seems to have a growth spurt every other day

Neeko - sooo, no more twinges eh?! Have you got your finger out about names yet?

Cupcake - enjoy working out the Close sling. It caused one of my many mini meltdowns when B was just born as I couldn't get it to work and had a hissy fit on the spot which turned into a "I'm a failure at everything" meltdown - crazy post-natal hormonal person - eek. Meant to say glad your loving Grey's -just wait until the 2nd season its fantastic and the finale is in my top three of best episodes of any drama ever. You will never hear Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars" again without thinking of this episode - just awesome.

Mermaid - how was the skating, did you thaw out quickly?

MLS - lovely to hear your booking went well, another mini milestone, well done you. Hope your gettng a early night!

Monkey - how are things, please let us know your OK honey x

Right, offski so enjoy my small window of couple time x

Happy birthday 4ever!

Thanks Mermaid.

We survived the night, though didn't get a great deal of sleep, off for a nap on the sofa.

I really need a newborn sized sling, she's too small for the one we bought.

iggypiggy · 04/03/2010 11:02

Happy Birthday 4ever

to mermaid

cupcake I've decided not to ride - risk of falling off is too much - I couldn't live with myself if i did.. so he is beign ridden by someone else! Hope theatre was good!

gracie you are so lovely to send CDs I feel the same about twins... The thought of one baby is scary enough

blue thanks. I might get myself a creme egg now
