Well Ive popped in works internet cafe for some respite - Im KNACKERED! This is first full time day since Sept! I ache all over, my body is wondering what happened to the horizontal position and comfy bed and sofa! Leave at 4pm thankfully! I really dont think this is doing me any good.. Its my birthday next week so have a couple of days off thankfully & 2 hospital apts the week after, but am considering getting signed off for a couple of weeks again after that cos my pelvic bone (more pubic bone) is soooo bad, my body aches, my thrush is getting made worse, my ankles are swollen and Im sooooooooooooooooooooo tired! They have offered that I can take my redundancy when I take my maternity rather than waiting for the rest of the dept in July-Aug, and would get both payments in a lump sum, Ill have to put in savings & give myself a monthly 'salary' that will hopefully last 2 yrs as Iv been here 14 yrs so will be decent amount, though the reality of leaving and being 'unemployed' seems very final and a bit scary! Im gonna hold out til mid April so I can get our bonus, and rise which my redundancy will be worked out aginst final salary! Only have 6 days hol left to take though as it is pro rata'd so thats crap, hence plan to get signed off for 2 weeks cos just cant cope after the comfort of going at my own (snails) pace throughout this pregnancy.. Its really mixed feelings, cos dont want to leave the place or the people, but want to do whats best for this pregnancy. It will be smotional on my last day though! Im hoping that in 2yrs or so when I need to find work again, this place does have revolving doors and I may get to come back to a different dept! Oh well we shall see! Sorry for the waffle, head has been spinning with it all and have a million mails back & forth between me & HR trying to get the best maternity/redundancy sorted and all the intricate details that go with it! What a time! Right, off to have a criossant to see me right for the drive home, shall be lurking but daresay when I get to my sofa Ill be unable to function!
