C'mon girls, this is the year. We will form a circle and concentrate hard on diffment.

Meanwhile, David and Jenson have popped the corks and are pouring out the Bellinis. Truckle of stilton anyone?

OP posts:

Hi Muser, really sorry to read your posts, and hoping things aren't as negative as you think. The only way to know for sure is to get your hcg levels tested at least twice, 2 days apart.

Sadly, your gp might not be interested, so maybe consider going to EPAU - they might also be not that bothered if it's very early. If you do go then tell them you are unclear about your dates, and that you are having some pain, and ask for blood hcg. You are probably too early to scan. It may be a bit dishonest if you are
not in pain , but it's so stressful not knowing. If you can't stand the idea of waiting in EPAU for hours, you might stick with your wait and see approach. Good luck!

Muser · 31/01/2010 22:17

I'm afraid people do get positives 2 weeks after a period ski, I did last time. This is exactly what happened last time. I had a period, I started spotting a week later, did a test and got a positive. Went to the emergency unit, had my HCG levels done and they were there but low, went back 2 days later and they'd dropped. Then a week later I was back to being negative.

I can't imagine this time is going to be any different. The line is faint, so I'd expect by the end of the week it might be gone completely, going by last time's evidence.

The fact that I did end up negative last time (and I did a couple of tests to be sure) makes me think there can't have been anything left behind. But you're right, I should get checked to make sure.

laurielou · 01/02/2010 09:31

Oh muser that sounds shite. Hope this morning brings a bit of clarity as to what the fuck is going on.

ski love your mum's story of Ely, good to see things have changed over the years.......

scorp North Wales are the unfriendly bunch who break into Welsh at the sound of an english accent. South Wales are daft much nicer (ie majority cannot speak welsh).

I can say "morning" "cheers" & "fancy a shag". Its seen me alright over the years.

My only RL friend who knows about this SWI mallarkey has asked if I'm 100% certain its what I want as she's picking up that I'm not sure. WTF??? She's usually v intuitive & has known me for 30 years, so now what? Does she know me better than I know myself? Talk about head fuck!!!

skihorse · 01/02/2010 09:45

Dim parcio laurielou, dim parcio. - "do you fancy a fuck around the corner?" was the first welsh phrase I learned at uni and tbf it served me well. Thank you and nos da. (well it is somewhere in the world). I mixed with a lot of gogs when I was younger - they're a strange breed I tells you.

Scorpette · 01/02/2010 09:58

Muser, have been worrying about you Have you managed to go EPAU or your gp? I think what Ski was saying is that you shouldn't be getting a bfp then bleeding only 2 weeks after a period - if it is a 'true' period. I mean, even if you OVed ridiculously early, it would still be far too early in a premature luteal phase for a bfp to show up, surely? I just hope you get an answer as to what is going on. But most of all, I really hope the bfps continue...

Eadwacer · 01/02/2010 10:02

Oh shit muser, I just don't know what to say - it's so fucking cruel that there's always so much grasping in the dark, trying to see what's going on - what news this morning, love? you gonna see the GP/gynae folk?

Ocarina take it from me those OPK are a waste of money and, worse, will drive you menkul in a matter of days. Mine NEVER showed a positive even when I (literally) pissed away £15 POAS every couple of hours. You can be awash with FFJ and nothing fucking happens. Still, you might be a lucky one...

Am currently in the grip of raging PMT which is all the worse cos I want to headbutt HI and scream "you bastard, you could've cured me of PMT for nine months, never mind the baybee"

RunLyraRun · 01/02/2010 10:06

Muser, just seen all this, sounds completely shite . Hope you get sorted today. What's your GP like?

Muser · 01/02/2010 10:19

Thanks guys. Update for today: did a Clear Blue digital to get an idea of how pregnant I might be. It says 2-3 weeks, so 4-5 weeks really. Which fits with my dates if my last "period" wasn't a period at all. I thought it might be lower than that if HCG levels were declining. So I'll go to St Thomas's after work and get my blood taken. See what's going on.

I've stopped spotting, which may be a good sign, given what the CBD says. But it's probably just a matter of time. The EPU didn't give much explanation of what had happened last time. Maybe I'm just a weird person who bleeds and the miscarriage last time was separate from the bleed I got. So maybe this time it will work out. Who the fuck knows?

CurlyCasper · 01/02/2010 10:19

Hugs for muser. I so hope this can be turned around into good news.

CurlyCasper · 01/02/2010 10:21

x-post - but I still hope you get some answers today muse

Eadwacer · 01/02/2010 10:23

Fanks for updating muser - be rooting for you all day - and frantically checking this thread this evening. ((((((((((((((((muse)))))))))))))))))))))

PollyPoo · 01/02/2010 10:23

Hey all, Muser hope you get some answers today. No violence - have this hot water bottle and grope hug.

TwinkleToes76 · 01/02/2010 10:55

Muser my love, hope you get some positive news this afternoon.

Ivytheterrible · 01/02/2010 10:57

Oh muser really sorry & hope you can get sorted out today.

Muser · 01/02/2010 11:00

Thanks everyone. I won't really know until mid weeks as there is no way they'll scan me, based on past experience. So it's blood test, wait 2 days, repeat, and see what the hormone levels are and whether they go up or down.

skihorse · 01/02/2010 11:10

Finger's crossed for you muser. You do realise of course that if you are diffed you can continue the torture by asking yourself if you drank/exercised too much or ate too much french cheese whilst on hols!

ChoChoSan · 01/02/2010 11:15

I'm hanging in there for you Muser...waiting to see the outcome of HCG test. A scan would probably not help much at the moment anyway... IIRC they would only be able to see a tiny sac, without much indication of what would happen, so please don't feel as though you are missing out on something that could be done .

Are you at home or at work?

Muser · 01/02/2010 11:25

Haha, ski. I fell over face first enough times while skiing, maybe I shook the baybee out. And I probably drowned it in vin chaud. And I had the rarest steak, it was practically mooing. Oh god, if it sticks the poor thing will be doomed anyway.

Thanks Cho, I know the scan wouldn't show anything so I'm fine about that. Blood tests are good enough for me. I'm at work, I have tons to do this week and as I'm feeling pretty calm about the whole thing I'd rather be here distracting myself.

iggypiggy · 01/02/2010 11:39

hello BESHies - just dropping in for some violence for muser

Hope turns out to be good news for you.

salander · 01/02/2010 11:41

Muser just read all the previous pages, that is totally shiz man, hope you can get more sorted today
Sending unbeshie hugs

Muser · 01/02/2010 11:48

Thanks everyone. And sorry for being all ME ME ME. What other news is there today? Anyone in the testing zone? We need some happy POAS news.

skihorse · 01/02/2010 11:56

Muser my love, - I fear you've missed the point of the interweb. It was designed for self-proclaimed "me, me, me" stuff. On the internet there is no other news.

Ivytheterrible · 01/02/2010 12:14

I POAS yesterday but BFN... maybe a little early as cycles vary by about 4 days but couldn't resist temptation.

Am approaching my 1 year anniversary of barren-ness (yeay go me...any gift suggestions?)
Are all of you having/connsidering fertile investigations of some kind? I don't think I want to go down that route really and am thinking about starting adoption process if we get to 2 years without getting baybee'd up.

Sal and scorps can I be in your dancer gang? I'm all about the ballet but sadly never had the right kind of pysique required IFSWIM!

wildfig · 01/02/2010 12:14

muser just a little paper cut from me - hope it's good/quick news.

salander · 01/02/2010 13:08

Ivy but of course welcome aboard
Have you been to your GP at all re getting bloods etc done? I know you say you don't wanna go down that route and i can see why not - but perhaps if there's summit fixable easily it might be worf it? Just a thort.

I am a approx 8 days post ov and stopping self POAS as perfectly sure not diffed, don't feel it in the slightest.

Apart from that i have no news apart from my home is in-law seventh circle of hell central. they leave tomorrow.
