C'mon girls, this is the year. We will form a circle and concentrate hard on diffment.

Meanwhile, David and Jenson have popped the corks and are pouring out the Bellinis. Truckle of stilton anyone?

Muse if you are registering 2-3 wks still, that is cautiously optimistic. I had the same thing happen to me ref period after a mc and then I tested again and it was still positive but only 1 week - I convinced myself that I'd got preg again straight away but on sensible reflection it was the incomplete 'clearance' that was causing the positive and I went on to have a remainder of the mc later than month (which I kidded myself was a 2nd mc (still SAY I've had 2 mc's I do because people doctors feel more sorry for me that way).

My point is that even with an incomplete mc the levels had dropped so it only registered 1 week and not 2-3 (which it would have been had it been a 'real' pregnancy). It's no guarantee of course, but if I was in your shoes I would be more optimistic than pessimistic...

Bugger. My belief that the spotting had stopped was wrong. It's just restarted again and is rather mucusy. Nice.

Thanks for sharing Cunty, always good to hear from others. I'm fairly sure this isn't an incomplete from last time as I did test negative after that, and I POAS just before my period was due and got a negative then. It's hard to be cautiously optimistic, I'm aiming for a neutral disposition! And telling myself it aint over until the CBD shouts Not Pregnant in it's horrible bleak way.

Muser · 01/02/2010 13:29

God, terrible punctuation there. Someone take the apostrophe key away from me.

salander · 01/02/2010 13:34

aw muser hen thats a bugger

CUNextTuesday · 01/02/2010 13:39

spotting is spotting until it's a full blown droid . What colour is it?

Any chance of a description/photo of said gusset-juice? I'm glad cunty came along to explain things, I mailed muser earlier telling her that you were nice and experienced with babyfails. carrots had some bleeding with her bfp, both implantation and at around week 6 IIRC. Anyway, mucus is good isn't it?

Muser · 01/02/2010 13:46

It's a sort of washed out red. Not pink, but not bright red. And mucusy.

Everyone's had lunch already, right?

CUNextTuesday · 01/02/2010 13:47

I had mucusy brown stuff around 6 weeks too. I put it down to overenthusiastic jiggery-pokery, but it could have been anything. Lasted a couple of days then nada mas.

OP posts:
CurlyCasper · 01/02/2010 13:48

If it helps, I had a mucousy-pink bleed early on which Dr said was implantation.

CUNextTuesday · 01/02/2010 13:50

yes, washed out red, that's a good description. Not red like period blood, that's the main thing - pink I've found is a problem too and, for me, a precursor to mc.

If you have been ragging around inside you can also cause your cervix to register disgruntlement at what is quite a sensitive time for it - you get a slight erosion but it doesn't automatically leak out if you like, it's more that some mucus being produced to plug your cervix has come loose and brings the dried erosion with it = this can happen over the course of a few days too.

Yes, yes I do hope everyone has had their lunch

Eadwacer · 01/02/2010 14:38

This is all MOST EDUCATIONAL.

Eadwacer · 01/02/2010 14:39

PS I am now going to use the phrase 'ragging around inside' on every available opportunity, up to including important meetings with Circuit judges, etc etc.

idealcamel · 01/02/2010 14:53

Muser How awful, you poor love. And how frustrating that only time will tell one way or another.

Ivy Have also just had first anniversary of starting this, but am being prodded and poked by doctors. Any particular reason you don't want to go down that route?

Today I am grumpy. And busy.

Ivytheterrible · 01/02/2010 15:05

I think I did actually sick up in my mouth a bit at the gusset descriptions...a photo would be lovely tho...[vomiting into bucket smilie]

camel I just don't think I want to fall into what could be a dark pit of despair and uncertainty over baybee's. Having "children" more important to me than having a "baybee" so idea of a 4/5/6 yr old appeals to me.. Husband would need a lot of convincing as is really quite against adoption and he would want to do everything we could to have our own first.

May go for the basic bloods etc and see what gives...

I did actually feel a bit knocked up this month: boobs so sore having to wear bra at night and really dry mouth... but computer says NO.

Muser · 01/02/2010 15:28

Haha, my work here is done!

I think MrM feels much the same as you Ivy. We discussed what we'd do if we had problems and he favoured adoption over intervention. I'm not sure. Neither of them is an easy process. I hear the adoption process can be very long and invasive, much like fertility treatment!

MorrisZapp · 01/02/2010 16:36

Afternoon ladies.

Don't know if anybody remembers me but I have dabbled here a bit over the past few months. Am 38 and ttc but in a fairly half hearted fashion.

Anyhoo didn't I get a BFP today, confirmed by clearblue digital as 2-3 weeks

I'm happy, scared and in a little bit of denial!! DP, who has been harrassing me for months to SWI more often, put legs in the air etc etc, said 'oh fuck' about ten times when I told him.

I know!

Oh fuck!

Ivytheterrible · 01/02/2010 16:52

Congrats MorrisZapp ace news...

Am I being menkul?

Have just been reading this fred... www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/905324-OMG-am-I-pregnant-or-just-plain-crazy

I stupidly thought it would be a great idea to fish my test out the bin from the other day (Sat?) and it was BFP but I definitely waited the alotted time and it was BFN so it doesn't count right? But then I dug deeper into bin and pulled out one from a few days before that (Thurs?) and that one showed BFN.

What does it mean if anything? Does the 2nd line always take longer to come up than test line? Always assumed they would appear around the same time.

Have run out of things to piss on now...

Eadwacer · 01/02/2010 17:16

Oh hey Morris, that's good news, and on a day when I want to tear off my own hand JUST so I have something to throw at passers-by, I'm even gladder than usual. Good luck for it all...

Ivythehorrible I've no idea about all that pet, sorry -

idealcamel · 01/02/2010 17:21

ivy I am reliably informed that such things as evaporation lines exist, which is why you shouldn't look at tests after the alloted time period.

I have no real idea what any of that means. But I'm sure other people do.

Moreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez I have said congrats elsewhere, but am super-pleased for you. There is another fred where the pregnant BESH go to talk about the mysteries of birth and shiz - search for PESH in antenatal clubs if you're interested.

Muser · 01/02/2010 17:22

Ivy That is quality menkulism there. Never never never look at a test after the allotted time. There are natural things that can make it turn positive after the allotted time. A man could POAS and eventually have it come up positive. I read it on the internet so it must be true.

Now go buy some new sticks. It's the only way to confirm cure menkulism.

Muser · 01/02/2010 17:23

Oh yes, big congrats to Morris as well. We love a BFP on this fred. More booze for the rest of us!

Ivytheterrible · 01/02/2010 17:30

OK you're all right. Am menkul will stay calm and carry on... nothing to see here.

Will go and put a kitchen wall cupboard up to distract myself

MorrisZapp · 01/02/2010 17:31

Oh god damn you and your more booze! I was sozzled twice last week but now I must really be a grown up and do everything right.

Thanks so much for all your good wishes, PESH it is for now...

Anybody have any use for a nearly full bottle of kahlua and a pair of very tight jeans...

Muser · 01/02/2010 17:33

Ah, nothing crosses until week 6 Morris. Drink on until then. And I bet most of our mums drank and weze fine and intelligunt and everyfink.

ChoChoSan · 01/02/2010 17:38

Hi ivy. There is a website called peeonastick that has loads of info re hpts including what happens when you leave them for while etc. Check it out for more info.
