What is IVIg?
I was refered from my local hosp to a super leading one and they snapped me up to do the trial so I feel like I've skipped a few avenues.Good or bad I don't know?
Was kinda hoping that the NK cells were the prob and they said they could fix me. Did't get any other offers.

MrsG, I've no bloody idea what IVIg infusions are, but the link I read was here. Ignore the wanky website name, it happened to be the first one I looked at (and quite informative). The info about treating the ishoo is near the bottom of the article. I'm wary of hospitals as when it comes to trials, they can be more concerned about getting results rather than whether or not it actually helps the real-life people with problems involved (was involved yrs ago in an asthma trial that went cunty, although is not as important as TTC, obvy).

Was being nosy again, and thought could help.

IVIg is intravenous Immunoglobulin (basically antibodies, called Ig for short). It is a blood product made by separating out the antibodies from donor blood and pooling loads of them from different donors. Recipients in need are then transfused. Its used to treat people with autoimmune conditions, amongst other things.

Thats the extent of my knowledge, but the wikipedia site also may be useful (type in intravenous immunoglobulin).
