Here we go, another new thread for us to fill with our highs and lows.

Lets start off with a good dusting of babydust, think all the rest we had has washed off in the rain

think i do yes. Can't do the dip stick ones, far too fiddly for me, and i always wonder if the midstream cheapy ones are any good, only ever had a BFP on a cb digi, so maybe that is why i like them too.

OP posts:
Xena · 08/07/2005 14:31

No it wasn't me diddle I just remember someone suggesting them when I first joined this thread.
DH OK although I can't get hold of him and he is due home at 3 for our Birthday Tea Party. Madrush when I was pg last time (the m/c) I'd done some cheap tests from ebay but they gave me a BFN when clearblues gave me a BFP.

Diddle · 08/07/2005 14:33

must be worth splashing out on the more expensive ones then. I remember you telling me that Xena, feel happier using them, i believe them because it is there in writing. not as fiddly as trying to see a line.

OP posts:
Xena · 08/07/2005 14:36

How sad am I I can remember which tests gave me all 4 of my BFP's!!!
DS clearblue-org style in the loos at Green Park tube station... impatient I know
DD1 Superdrugs own two pack as I really thought it would be a BFN... In the loos at work
DD3 those pink ones?? not first reponse..... at home!!
M/C Clearblue digital at home on Easter Sunday

Xena · 08/07/2005 14:37

I coulnd't resist taking the digital one apart to look at the 2 lines

Xena · 08/07/2005 14:38

Can't help but think that my AF is on her way

Xena · 08/07/2005 14:40

predictor.. thats what DD2's was. The biggest surprise she was, they had told me that I would need assistance if I wanted another.

Diddle · 08/07/2005 14:41

Xena - thought you wanted AF to come, although not pleasant, are you still pondering with what to do??
I look at the lines too. we must be normal or mad

OP posts:
Diddle · 08/07/2005 14:41

so you are an experinced tester, you've used them all

OP posts:
Diddle · 08/07/2005 14:49

have a good party xena -

wonder if lottielou is coming back

OP posts:
madrush · 08/07/2005 14:54

Happy tea party Xena, I thought I was obsessed with tests but glad to hear from you experts Interesting to hear the false negatives on the cheapies too.... I'll have to upgrade next order.

Diddle · 08/07/2005 15:33

ooohhh stop talking about tests, you're making me want to go and do one, got 2 digi ones left and a bag full of midstream cheapy ones. so tempting, but not realy the right time of the day

OP posts:
Tabs · 08/07/2005 15:49

Afternoon ladies - just popping in for a quick catch up, and to solve your riddle of who recommended access diagnostics - it was me .

Nothing much to report here really. Just still hoping that beanie is continuing to stick - another 11 days until my next scan, but ordered a doppler today, so hoping that can offer me some peace of mind.

Hope you are all keeping well, and that AFs are coming/going as desired, and BDing is active!

Love to all. xx

Diddle · 08/07/2005 15:57

Hi tabs,

yes plenty of bd here, glad to hear you're ok. of course beanie is sticking, its your turn now

OP posts:
madrush · 08/07/2005 16:08

Hi Tabs, I haven't been here long and haven't met a graduate before, gives me hope!
Good luck for eleven days time and keep us up to date.
Plenty of BD here too, although did let dh have first night off in ages last night (not that he was complaining).

maddyd · 08/07/2005 16:09

I like simply fertlity, great service. Negative tests Sure ive used the diagnostics one too. Ill get some digi ones of them. So we have two close to testing then, how exciting

2GIRLS · 08/07/2005 16:44

Has anyone tried the 'Ultra Early' tests that you can use 3 days after conception? I just bought some of these off ebay and the blurb said it has something to do with the number of miu in it (or something) apparently the shop tests have a higher number of miu (the thing that detects the pg hormone) but these ones have 10 miu so are more sensitive.
Was wondering if anyone has used them or are they a bit of a con?

maddyd · 08/07/2005 16:48

I have used them and got a false posotive, i could have concieved and not implanted but more likely an evaporation line. Dont read after the five min time slot and you should be fine. I read mine after id been down and made a cuppa and logged on. felt a right fool.

hen did you ov? I know someone that got a pos 8dpo with those tests.

Diddle · 08/07/2005 16:51

2 girls, i've used them, but wasn't pg so obviously got a BFN. haven't used them when i got my BFP's sorry. don't suppose thats much help really. If you read further down or have alreayd and seen what maddyd has been through, you have to be very careful with them. Its on the old thread

OP posts:
Diddle · 08/07/2005 17:20

Has anyone got anything exciting planned for the weekend???

OP posts:
HellKat · 08/07/2005 17:38

Xena- Any sign of af? Are you going to throw caution to the wind tonight?
Slightly puzzled here. Bd lots when I ov before af. Af's finally finished now. But........ cooking tea earlier, started gagging at the smell of chicken. This happens when I'm pg. I'm nearly 100% sure I'm not (as I've had af since ov) but weird all the same.
Diddle- nothing planned here. What about you?

Diddle · 08/07/2005 17:43

Hellkat - very weird, maybe you are, people do have AF when they're pg. Have you tested? sorryt hat si just getting you're hopes up. Maybe it was just a nasty smelling chicken.
Not much planned here, babysitting one of the kids i childmind on saturday, lovely family, his mom has made some jam today and bought a jar round for me. yummy. Then DIY, DIY AN DIY. Visiting the launderette again, still got no washer plumbed in. must be almost 3 months now, feels like it.

OP posts:
HellKat · 08/07/2005 17:51

That's just it. Was'nt fresh chicken. One was a roast chicken dinner for ds2, second was hot spicy chicken wings. Yep did test few days ago and bfn. Don't feel pg but might test again over the weekend,
Poor you!! God it has been ages hun. What are they playing at?

Diddle · 08/07/2005 18:00

Good luck with the testing, you're addicted too.
its Dh he has unplumbed it so we can decorate the laundry room, but we're having the floor raised in there, so can't plumb it back in until he's done that. But he's been having back trouble so hasn't done much of it.
we'll get there.

OP posts:
HellKat · 08/07/2005 18:13

Awwwww.
Pretty sure I'm not. Feel like i'm due on again. Got raging backache. maybe af's not done with me yet.
Hope dh's back get better soon.
