Here we go, another new thread for us to fill with our highs and lows.

Lets start off with a good dusting of babydust, think all the rest we had has washed off in the rain

Morning all.
Xena- Hope your dh got home safe and sound. I agree that this could be just the start (put that yesterday on the "due in Nov" thread). Go on .... be tempted .
There's twos reasons why they targetted London.

  1. All eyes are focused there atm
  2. Security is'nt as heightened as normal due to PM being in scotland. Can't shake the feeling though, that this was a bit too easy to recover from. Especially as their trademark is "Suicide Bomber". Hmmm. Makes you wonder if this is the calm before the storm. I sincerly hope not. Supposed to be 70 deg here in East Midlands (but blooming freezing atm). Hope everyone has a great day x
Diddle · 08/07/2005 07:46

morning Hellkat - we agree here, we think its the calm before the storm. Lovely and sunny here in the West Midlands, haven't been outside though, might be freezing, hope it stays dry, lot sof the kids ahve sports day today, it was cancelled yesterday.

Xena - Happy birthday to DD1, hope that she has a good day, and that your DH is okay after yesterday.

Morning All, hope yu are all ok. Im just glued to the tv really, its so shocking.

Woke up this morning and af has gone already, god knows where. Its the shortest one ever. Mind you sometimes she does that and then pops back for one day.

Diddle · 08/07/2005 09:25

Morning maddyd - very strange af for you, never had one that short myself, lucky you.
Trying not to put the tv on too much, not sure what affect it might have on the kids, plus i've got loads to do as always. sun is shining here, finally, supposed to be a nice weekend too. lets hope so

OP posts:
Diddle · 08/07/2005 10:34

Think my AF might be on its way have had a dull ache in my back for a few days and feel very bloated, and slightly sick. fingers crossed it stays away. due on anytime within the next week.
Will not be impressed if she turns up, tried very hard at the right time, BD every day on holiday which is when i would have OV, so who knows whats going on.

OP posts:
HellKat · 08/07/2005 10:58

Maddy- still have mine! 2 bloody weeks later! can we swap
Diddle- fingers crossed for you hun. When are you testing?

Diddle · 08/07/2005 11:30

Hellkat - not sure when i'm testing, might try and wait until next Friday if Af doesn't arrive by then as my cycles are normally 35 days long and this is only day 28. Just going to order some more tests. I bet i don't wait until Friday, have no will power.

OP posts:
maddyd · 08/07/2005 11:33

Diddle i have my fingers crossed for you. How you can stand to wait i dont know. Mind you i have learnt my lesson from testing too early. I was speaking to a girl at work who did a similar thing as me. She fished hers out of the bin after a few hours and there was a clear line, turns out it was an evaporation line. Thats why they are not sold in the shops i supose.

hellkat i cant believe you still have youra what a nusience. Mine never last long but i know it will prob come back for one day either tonight or tomorrow

Diddle · 08/07/2005 11:36

thanks maddyd - have no will power at all, but i like to tell myself that i have of course i can wait 7 more days i don't think so.
Just ordered 6 more cb digitals for £22. what a bargain

OP posts:
Xena · 08/07/2005 11:40

Morning all
Thanks Diddle, DD1 is not coping very well (shes only just 3) has lashed out a few times and keeps crying that DD2 is not sharing! DS didn't want to go to school incase he misses the party.

Hellkat

maddyd · 08/07/2005 11:41

Ooh Diddle proper posh tests, where are they from?

Diddle · 08/07/2005 13:12

from access diagnostics. didn't you tell me about them??
I thought they would be worth it as they're a bargain and i love seeing the writing come up, even if it says "not pregnant" so addictive testing isn't it.

OP posts:
Xena · 08/07/2005 13:47

Diddle you are truly crazy

madrush · 08/07/2005 13:52

I'm addicted to tests too, simplyfertility are good prices and fast delivery too. Fingers crossed Diddle, I reckon I've got to wait at least a week for my next test.

Diddle · 08/07/2005 13:56

Xena - yep i think i am, all this ttc is fuddling my brain.

madrush - then we might be testing together. when is AF due??

OP posts:
Xena · 08/07/2005 14:03

Access Diagnositics Quite a Bargin!!

Diddle · 08/07/2005 14:07

If you have an account then you get 5% off too. was it you that told me about it Xena??

OP posts:
madrush · 08/07/2005 14:07

Diddle - AF due Sat 16th (I think, but who knows these days) and I've got those ultra sensitive tests that you're allowed to use before AF is late (you are allowed, it says so on the packet, I'm not making it up!)

Anyone else having trouble getting motivated to do any work today? I'm in Central London and still lots of sirens today. I've come in because I don't want terrorism to win but can't really focus!

madrush · 08/07/2005 14:10

And \link{http://www.simplyfertility.com/}simply fertility also cheap, but can't vouch for quality. I always get negatives and for a few days afterwards like to blame the cheap tests!

Diddle · 08/07/2005 14:11

Madrush - we believe you, I keep telling myself how much money i'm wasting by testing early, but i can't help it.
No problems getting motivated today, got loads to do, haven't stopped for long.
Hope you were ok yesterday, I cant imagine what it was like. How horrible.

Xena - Hows DH today?

OP posts:
madrush · 08/07/2005 14:11

I'll try again

Diddle · 08/07/2005 14:16

thanks madrush - my cb digi's are cheaper on
access diagnostics, but thank you, think i've bought from them before

OP posts:
madrush · 08/07/2005 14:18

I've just scanned down (too many posts to catch up on since I was last here) and seen about your DH's job Xena. Must have been awful yesterday.

We heard the bus bomb from the office, but fortunately no one I know was caught up in it. We just felt like sitting ducks for the first couple of hours, scared to stay but scared to leave building for fear of another explosion.

Seeing the injuries etc must have been horrific.

madrush · 08/07/2005 14:20

You do go for the posh ones don't you Diddle! I thought I was quite extravagant going for the "midstream tests" rather than the dip sticks...
