Here we go, another new thread for us to fill with our highs and lows.

Lets start off with a good dusting of babydust, think all the rest we had has washed off in the rain

Morning Hellkat
Wonder whether the doctor might help about your AF. Shouldn't have to change pads and stuff every hour. Sounds like you're really suffering with it and if you're feeling drained that could be a sign you're becoming anaemic already.
As for the weekend, went to the zoo yesterday with DDs. Having a quiet day today.

HellKat · 24/07/2005 09:17

Petunia- Sounds great! hope the weather was good for you.
Trouble is, with af, it's the price you pay when you have Endo. The only thing the dr can do is send me for more laser surgery but can't if you're ttc (won't be good getting pg straight after surgery) so just have to hang in there. Going to try and cheat though. If they do a scan on my boob tomorrow, i'm going to ask them to run it over my womb aswell to see how full it is. Then it'll give me an idea of how much longer I've got.

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 24/07/2005 10:27

Hellkat that sounds awful for you. Have you always had heavy af?

Its Philippas due date today and i am glad its here.Hoping thats once its behind me i will stop counting the pg weeks as if im still pg.

Weather a bit hit and miss, contemplating a visit to the park today but its a real money spinner (rides, balloons, craft school)On Maternity pay till Oct which is good as I work for Council but still not full pay.Stretching the pennies as far as i can but everything costs when you have kids!

HellKat · 24/07/2005 10:51

cp-{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}} I really hope you can make it through today without it being too hard on you. this will be your hardest day and if you can do it you can do anything. It'll be easier from now on. Maybe I should'nt ask this (sorry i'm soo nosy) will you be doing anything for her today or will it be far too painful?
Yep af's have always been heavy and painful. Have'nt had one this bad though in a few years.

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 24/07/2005 10:57

No i am doing nothing special.I did not have a plaque or anything. She was cremated and her ashes scattered in the same place my mums ashes were scattered.

I am not a beliver in having a place to visit when someone dies, its only the shell thats left and i believe that the soul has moved onto heaven.

I have a box with all her belongings in and i look at it from time to time, its still v hard.

Having a 20mth dd i have to concentrate on the living and her especially.I am soooooo lucky to have her as i know many many women have nothing.

But not a day goes by when i dont think of what could have been, especially when i watch dd play.

xxx

petunia · 24/07/2005 11:02

Oh Hellkat, I didn't realise it was a like a side-effect of having the Endo. That's really awful. I bet if men had to go through that they'd have found a cure/done something! Anything but go through that each month. Might be a good thing to ask them to do if they do a scan tomorrow. Hope it goes well, will be thinking of you.
CP- Are you OK? Sounds like you're going to be busy today. Think that's a good idea. My due date's a long time yet (6th January, 06) but last week I would have gone to the midwife and been 16wks pg. It's dates like these that make it so hard doesn't it?

HellKat · 24/07/2005 11:02

Same beliefs here to.
That's lovely you've got her own little box. One day it'll get easier to look through. Lovely idea about her ashes.
I know the feeling regarding a toddler! You don't get time to dwell on things (ds2 is nearly 16 mths) but it does help to take your mind off of things.
Think you deserve a nice glass of something later on! .

HellKat · 24/07/2005 11:07

Thankyou Pet. so true!! If men ever had periods, gave birth etc, that would be the end of the human race!!
You're right. Dates are the worst. My due date would've been 5th November so a little while to go!
CP- Just think, tomorrow is a fresh start!!

Balls to Endo!

Morning ladies

HellKat-I really feel for you. My AF is slowing down now so I'm hoping that it won't be as heavy as I thought it would be. Just imagine 9 months without the cow. ((xx))

I think we should all have a drink to remember what stage we would be up to. I myself would be 20 weeks on Tuesday and would be having the scan and finding out what the sex was. After AF has sodded off I am going to cut down on the Blossom Hill and bad foods just incase a miracle happens. Having said that though, before getting PG with DD I didn't cut anything out (couldn't have gone 12 months without wine and dips) but last time I didn't drink at all and had a MC. It seems to me that it doesn't matter too much. My friend (with 2.5 weeks to go) didn't have a drink for 10 months before so is gagging for a G&T-bless.

Off to do some veg for tea and the dreaded ironing so catch y'all later.

((xx))

P.S. Here is some copy and pasted babydust for the next few weeks.

spub · 24/07/2005 22:25

ChocolatePeanut,
God love you. I am so sad for you for today and think that your way of looking at it re no longer counting the weeks as if you were still pregnant is really strong and if it's not the wrong word, positive.
I don't know if any of you have the new "Coldplay" album but there's a song on there called, "Fix you" that seems very appropriate for someone who's had a miscarriage. I had the cd in the car driving to work last week and was having a right old blub - something I've not done that much, tbh.
Anyone else heard the song and know what I mean?

Don't mean to post a downbeat message - actually had a lovely weekend and the barbie was great today. My friend is having her twins delivered by section on Tues and I am soooo excited for her.
It will be our turn soon, lovelies!
TTFN

HellKat · 25/07/2005 07:47

Morning all!
Spub- Haven't heard it. Will d/load that song though and have a listen. Fingers crossed, we'll all be very pg, very round and having bizarre cravings soon!

strike1 · 25/07/2005 10:01

Morning,

Glad your bbq was ok Spub, had a bit of rain at the one I went to but nothing serious. I'm just about to get the Clodplay cd so I'll look out for that song. There's one on the Jem album called Missing You that I relate to my mc. I think it's good to have a blub and remember every once in a while.

Woke up on Saturday with achy (sp?) teeth and remembered having funny teeth right at the beginning of my last pg. So fingers crossed I don't need the dentist just a midwive! Boobs feel a bit more tender today to. Can't even think about testing, even with an early one, till Thursday though How are the rest of you doing with the waiting game? And AF seems to be making mass visits, maybe some of us are falling into sync

spub · 25/07/2005 10:55

OOh, Strike. Thursday, eh? Here's hoping for a BFP!
My next period is due on Aug 3rd - 9 days to go...
It's always lurking, isn't it? Am I pregnant? Is this the month? Will this be the month?
AAAARGhhhh!!

strike1 · 25/07/2005 11:21

I know, I promised myself, as this was the first month since the mc I would get obsessed, but I can't help it!!

Hellkat how's the non smoking going today?

madness · 25/07/2005 11:42

AF has turned up here as well. Doesn't help when dh takes more interest in watching tv than bd...And when I made a comment about him missing out on paternity leave this year he replied, o don't go on about that again...
Feel like crying but according to ds mums don't cry!!

wishingchair · 25/07/2005 13:08

Hi all - been away a week or so and in that time af arrived. 4 days early so at least that stopped me obsessing ... had funny taste in mouth, so dizzy, nauseous, achey back and 2 nosebleeds. All of which I'd convinced myself were pg symptoms, but were in fact af symptoms. Ah well - was only the first month.

chocolatepeanut - thinking about you x

And spub - yes I always cry at Fix You. But I think of it more like a song I could sing to my dd rather than the baby I lost ... I kind of relate it to the fact she's growing up and at some point she'll have to face situations that break her heart, but knowing she can always come home and I'll try to make her better. Making me sniffle right now. What's wrong with me? Not even got pregnancy to blame

spub · 25/07/2005 13:20

WC- I know what you mean about that song. Think you can blub to it in all sorts of contexts.

If my dd comes home heartbroken when she's older I'll be straight out of the door to break the offender's legs!! (and I'll sing that song whilst I'm committing assault.....)
I wondered if Chris Martin had written the song for Gwyneth Paltrow when her father died?

At work and soooooo can't be arsed.
