Here we go, another new thread for us to fill with our highs and lows.

Lets start off with a good dusting of babydust, think all the rest we had has washed off in the rain

chocolate peanut - very gld we make you smile, its good therapy for us all to have a good giggle once in a while.
It is defintly a dad/man thing about not mentioning our losses. My dad came round today and I mentioned to him that of the kds i look after's mom who is expecting, and all of a sudden a silence came over us, as though we both didn't want to say anything.
A couple of people have asked me if i am expecting yet, probably because i have put loads of weight on have eaten too many biscuits and since beign pg i seem to gain weight much easier, its horrible. Must join a gym.

Have just got back from diner with my family, as they can't be with me tomorrow for my b'day. i'm stuffed and the restaurent was boiling, felt like we were sitting in the oven. Just as we got to dessert they told us they had a fan that we could have by our table. Could have done with it sooner.
Anyway off to bed now, i'm knackered the heat makes me so sleepy.

thank you to you all, i was just remembering back to when i went through quite a rough patch, and although i have never met any of you, you have been such a great support to me, i'm very lucky to know you all. Thank you so much for listening to me moaning and picking me up when i feel down, it would have been a hell of a lot harder without you all.

Thanks

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DIDDLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awww hunny. Thankyou. Good to know you all too! it does make it so much easier knowing that we've been all been through loss.
Definitely try the yoghurt thing! I'm lucky with ds2, he loves fruit, but if you have a child that's not keen it's a great way of disguising it! Also another one is mash a banana in a bowl and mash a strawberry with it. That's it! Tastes and smells great and cheap too! We're both addicted to homemade smoothies atm (bananas, strawberries and soya milk, because it's slightly sweet). That blender should be worn out 'cos it's been used so much since he was weaned. Best things ever invented.
CP- Glad to make you smile hun! You deserve it! Bless your Dad! That's so sweet!
Rachel- Great to hear from you and thankyou for bringing fantastic news!! That'll be my worst fear. Having that first scan. Until I see the beanie boo's heart beating, I won't be happy!
Have a great day all xxxxxxxxx
Diddle- Spoil yourself today

Happy Birthday, Diddle!
Glad we cheer you up. This is the best thing about this thread; we've all been through different things and some of us have been through more difficult times than others but we all know what is is to have lost a much longed for child and so we can help each other when a particulalry bad day comes along.
I think a big virtual group hug is on order
(((((((((((((((((((hug))))))))))))))))))))))))))

spub · 13/07/2005 08:43

(can't type emoticon)

Diddle · 13/07/2005 09:14

Great idea Spub!
{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}} Big ol' group hug!
Aww Diddle! Are you going to try again Friday?

Diddle · 13/07/2005 09:23

yep of course and probably tomorrow too, as i can't resist.
Think Af may be on her way though, feel very achy. Plus i managed to convince myself that i was pg last month, felt sick then too, and then she bloody turned up. SO keeping hopes to a minimum, i think.
i really hope i am but will be ok if i'm not, i think.

Good morning all

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Diddle as still alot younger than me. ((xx))

6+2 post MC and still no AF-have been looking through my diary to see how long it was before I got AF after DD was born. I know I didn't have it at the 6 week check up at 7 weeks so I will have to wait, wait, wait!

CHOCOLATEPEANUT (mmm-makes me hungry everytime I type that as I lurve choc peanuts)make the most of Saturday night . ((xx))

Rachelrog-brill news and such a weight off your mind ((xx))

HellKat-is the annoying one (AF) still with you-if so send her over to me! ((xx))

LunarSea-I might try the dropper test when I've used all 6 million of the ones I have already bought ((xx))

Have got it into my head that I need an epilator and am looking at them on Ebay. Anyone think they are any good or just a waste of money?

Right-must go and cut the grass as it it DD's 2nd birthday party on Saturday and I'm running out of days already.

Lots and lots of love to everyone and I will catch y'all later.
x

HellKat · 13/07/2005 09:46

Humphreys- I think she's gone. So I told her to pay you a visit . Ohhhh no to epilators . They hurt like hell!!! Used one once and never again. Far more painful than waxing (and I found waxing quite fun!).

Xena · 13/07/2005 09:47

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DIDDLE

Xena · 13/07/2005 09:49

You are crazy HK, it is not fun!! althougth the easiest time I had it done was when I took 5yo DS with me and he was shouting at the lady 'stop it your hurting my mummy'

Xena · 13/07/2005 09:52

Have you seen spacecadet on the mods page?? She looks nothing like i'd imagine.

spub · 13/07/2005 09:53

HC - try acupuncture! I'm convinced that it brought on AF 2 days after my 1st treatment and 7 weeks post m/c.
Diddle - (assumes stern new york cop voice) "Step away from the testers!"

Tabs · 13/07/2005 09:55

Happy Birthday Diddle!

Hellkat - I have a rival for your blender for the best invention ever - dopplers! Found heartbeat with mine last night at just 10+4 (took 8 attempts over 2 days mind ). On cloud nine today!

strike1 · 13/07/2005 09:59

Morning all. Happy Birthday Diddle!!!
Don't get too upset about bfn cause at least it means you can relax and have a drink on your birthday!
Right, my job.....Hmmm piss artist, sound more intresting! It is like the lady on the M&S commercial, but she probably gets paid more cause she famous. Stuff like that and radio commercials and the odd bit of narration.

Seems everyone was a bit up and down yesterday, I can't decide if I'm chuffed I can try again, or scared stiff it will all happen again. Got a bit worried last night as I had some brownish discharge like the beginning of my m/c but my AF finished last Thursday (sorry for the tmi this early) Not sure what to think, nothing at the moment, just counting the days till it might be ov time.

Diddle · 13/07/2005 10:13

thank you all for my birthday wishes, can't step away from the testers, i'm addicted

OP posts:
spub · 13/07/2005 10:34

Maybe we need a chapter of Testers Anonymous!

Strike1 - still fascinated by your job. Do you have a particular accent? Have people always said you had a great voice? Do you have to look after it????

Know what you mean about the weirdness of being desperate to try again yet sh**ting it in case something goes wrong again. I'm just gearing uo to get back on the horse (if you know what I mean???

strike1 · 13/07/2005 10:51

Wey hey, oo er misses (and other horse type innuendo!)

I have a "neutral" accent, so they say. And to be honest I don't look after it, it's been said in the past I sounded better with a hangover! Husky...but not good for genral health or ttc, so go for the clean cut sound now! Got into the whole thing by accident as my family are radio/singing/acting people and my mum was doing it, so I thought it was easier than busting a gut to become the next Kate Winslet (my original plan)

Does using ov test kits too much grant me access to testers anonymous?

LunarSea · 13/07/2005 11:32

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DIDDLE!!!!!!!!!!

Just read this thread and it went from epilators any good to no waxing's better to try acupuncture and I sort of read it all as one and was trying to work out quite how acupuncture would deal with hairy bits. Doh!

strike1 - if opks qualify you, then I'm definately in, as I have those, plus the little telescope thing too, which lets you test as many times a day as you like (though the 2 hours since eating or drinking bit tends to limit how much I can use it thank goodness). Funny - it will always give a positive if I've been drinking wine - which just goes to show that there really must be a relationship between drinking before bd and conception?

strike1 · 13/07/2005 11:36

Telescope! Huh? I'm not sure I want to see or know, but how? Still new to all the ttc kits as it happened on it's own before, hope it will again, but want to give myself the best chance. I like the idea of wine helping conception, though I'm not sure the doc would agree, worth a try though!
